The screen of my iMac flashes green during boot-sequence, then returns to normal.

During the boot-sequence the screen of my Imac 27" flashes green (once), then returns to normal. This does not happen when I boot my Windows (Bootcamp) partition, so I assume this is some kind of OSX driver error. This started to happen only after I installed the latest patch (10.9.3). Did anybody else encounter this and/or knows how to get rid of it ?

Basically reset the PRAM.
Worked for me hope it works for you buddy. I did it due what the first link said "might be user abuse to the display". doesn't sound good.

taimsesasta, Not positive, but I was using a picture that had orange in it as my login icon, and when I changed it to a pic that was basically gray, the Apple logo no longer flashed orange. Somehow, it seems, that the Apple logo was momentarily picking up the orange color from my login art and then returning to its normal gray. That's all I know at this point.

There is a slim line across the Center if the screen. It is horizontal. It does not appear every time I boot up, but it is causing concern.

It would mean that your display or GPU are starting to fail, most likely the GPU, as the line is not permanent. Does the line move during the time your iMac is turned on or change if you start up in safe mode (holding the Shift key while your Mac is starting)?
A good test you can do is to make a screenshot of the screen when your iMac is showing the line. To make the screenshot, press Command, Shift and 3 keys, and the screenshot will appear in the desktop. Double-click it and see if the line appears. If it appears, it's the GPU. If not, it's the display

That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
Or if you are running 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion, boot from the recovery partition (Command +R on boot) and use Disk Utility to repair your OS 10.7 or 10.8 partition.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead.

The screen of my iphone5 became green last week for no reason, then I went to SENAO INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD. in Taiwan, because I got my iphone5 Dec 21, 2012, I thought my phone still in the warranty. In Apple’s policy, I could get a normal phone back. Unfortunately, I just bring my broken home, that’s why I wrote this letter…
Employee of SENAO INTERNATIONAL CO. said he open my phone then found it affect by damp. If I want to get a normal iphone5, they will charge me $8,350(about USD 280). But my earphone jack didn’t change any color, and I never let my phone jump into any liquid, even never ever let it fell down to the ground. The only reason to make my phone damp is my hand, I born with “Palmar hyperhidrosis”, my hand often sweat, it truly made my life inconvenient. But this time is the most sorrowful, after I told SENAO my situation, asked if I need to wear gloves when I used my phone, then just said I should know iphone is not waterproof before I bought, even suggest I bought a waterproof phone next time!!!!! In conclusion, they still determine it’s a man-made fault.
I asked them help me to tell Apple my situation, or give me the way to connect Apple, they said Apple always so tough, Apple won’t care about what the true is, if apple see the phone damp inside then it’s man-made fault. By the way, they said they don’t have any way to connect Apple, it’s a little bit ridiculous. My heart was broken from this case I meet, I decided to solve it by myself.
Deep in my heart, I love Apple, the company always put costumers in the first place. I still remember when I was a student, I envy my classmates have Apple products, my parents are very frugality, so I never ask them buy Apple products for me. After I graduated from school, I enter into an accounting firm, I used almost 2/3 of my salary per month to buy my first smart phone, that phone is iphone4S, I tried so hard to book 4S, then I got it Dec 16 2012, the first day 4S start sell in Taiwan, I also got iphone5 in the first week It start to sell here. I bought the new IPAD for my mom as her retirement gift, taught her how to use Apple products, let her knew I didn’t waste money to buy something expensive and useless, I show my parents how these amazing products changing our life. I didn’t tell them I couldn’t change a normal phone back, I just said I have no time went to SENAO.
But now I am so confused and helpless, I know maybe I’m just one of apple fan in whole world, maybe this letter won’t be read, I don’t know whether this letter take any effect or not. I don’t know why I ran into this before my 25th birthday in June 11, I am so unlucky :c

There has never been a facetime icon on the homescreen of iphones. You hav always accessed the feature via contacts.
Have you tried the basics from the manual? restart, reset, restore

Try resetting the SMC and if that doesn't work then reset the PRAM too.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

The LCD Display connector has partially come loose from the logic board connector, and simply needs to be pressed back down into place. Or the front screen assembly is now faulty, and needs to be replaced again.

You have turned VoiceOver on. You will need to go to Settings>General>Accessibility>VoiceOver and turn it off. However the gestures on your phone are different with this on. You have to use three fingers to scroll, and to tap an icon once so select it, the double-tap it to activate it. These are the steps you need to take to turn it off:
Press Home.
Tap Settings. Then double-tap Settings.
Tap General. Then double-tap General.
Use three fingers on the screen to scroll to Accessibility.
Tap Accessibility. Then double-tap Accessibility.
Tap VoiceOver. Then double-tap VoiceOver.
Tap "On" next to VoiceOver. Then double-tap "On" to turn it off.

Claire, please post your machine specs as requested. There are some variants of the MBP with specific hardware issues. Example: the older "silver key" MBPs with 2.2Ghz and faster processors can have a defective video chipset that produces a black screen or distorted video. That problem is covered under an Apple program that will fix this at no cost to you if you computer is that model.
Do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and, in the resulting window, click the "More Info..." button. That launches System Profiler for you. The first screen looks like this:
The second line, "Model Identifier" (or "Machine Model" if you are running OS10.4) precisely identifies your MBP variant. Post that, and include it in your equipment info in your profile for future posts. That means people don't have to ask, and you get faster help that is targeted to your specific model. Saves everybody a bunch of keystrokes and you get better advice.

What does "the screen is a bit crash" mean? If the screen is cracked you can make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Although the broken screen is not covered by warranty, sometimes the Genius will exchange it at no cost. Otherwise, Apple will charge $99, $149 or $199 for the exchange, depending upon the capacity.
A third-party place like the following may be less expenisve but you will lose the remainder of the warranty.

I think that we all know the answer to this one.
Unfortunatley the device is concidered damaged by water. Apple can do an out of warranty repair which would cost $199. Generally they would just replace the device in this case for the $199.
The alternative is to Purchase a new device.
