My iPod touc was working fine - but recently I can only use vertical orientation. Help me fix this!

Is the screen-rotation lock on? If it is there sill be an icon of a circular arrow wih a padlock insid by the battery indicator in the upper right. If it is on turn it off. Otherwise try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- reset
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

If so, then depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (rotation lock or mute notifications), then you can lock/unlock the rotation by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. My Macbook display changes color when I open applications. It looks like there is a light blue layer over the screen, thus changing the color of my display. This layer goes away when i quit the applications.

I am facing a problem and I am not sure if its a graphic card malfunction. When I open applications like Chrome, VLC player, and most apps, my display suddenly changes color. It is as though the Theme was changed. The normal grey panel on opened windows turns to light blue and everything else seem as though there is a light blue layer on top of it. When I close these applications (quit) the display returns to its normal self.
My MacBook Pro is 2 years old, and I have an extended warranty. Will Apple replace my graphic card if it is actuall the graphic card's problem?

I had that problem, too, and it's been documented both here and on the Adobe forums. What happens is that when you have dynamic switching on, when an application that uses your discrete GPU kicks in, the screen will change color. My problem lasted for a couple of weeks then just vanished.
What you need to do is download Cody Krieger's gfxCardStatus and turn off dynamic switching and leave your GPU set to discrete only. That's the only fix that I know of at this time. I don't know why it happens or why mine stopped.

After the upgrade of SAP the screen got changed

the available tab in the screen got changed after the upgradation.
the changes of the upgrade has been transported to testinf server . But in production system the tabs are different in Project System CJ20N. Here earlier it was artist but aftre upgrade in testing environement its Cust. Enhancement also one new tab introduced LONG TEXT.
PLEASE PROVIDE THE SOLUTION.

Are there any apps in the muti-tasking bar? If the app closed unexpectedly and appeared in the muti-tasking bar, end it. Double tap the home button and then hold the app until it starts to wiggle then tap the minus at the top left at the app (if you want, end all the remaining apps) try opening them now. SECATT not saving the screen for change of address in CAA2

Dear Secatt Experts
When recording the transaction CAA2 using TCD(Record) in SECATT, the
screen for change of address in the main screen of CAA2 is not getting
saved. Therefore I am unable to run the script for change of address
The address can be changed (Fix any address other than standard address)
by using F4 function in the address field in the main screen.

- Have you tried resetting the Ipod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.-
- Next connect it to your computer. If iTunes sees the iPod restore the iPod, First restore from backup and if problem persists restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
- If iTunes does not see the iPod first try placing the iPod in recovery mode. If not seen try placing it in DFU mode:

Up to you whether you want to get it serviced. If you don't, I'd suggest putting on a screen protector to help hold the screen together and try to prevent further damage. It's likely that it will eventually fail at some point, but you could get lucky and have it continue to work for quite some time.

Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. If nothing has happened after holding for 30 seconds charge the phone for 15 minutes with the wall adapter and try again.

If you right-click in the top of title bar of any Finder window there is an option to un-check 'use small icon size', though toggling between the two makes little difference on my screen.
Another trick is you can zoom the whole screen by holding down the 'control' key and using a two-finger swipe up on the trackpad to enlarge, down to go back to normal.

How to stop the computer from changing its local network name when waking up from sleep mode

How do I prevent a mac mini from changing its' network name automatically when it wakes up from sleep mode... It will wake up and display a warning that the network name is already in use and it changes its name to (n+1) name with number after it... I know that there is no other device with that name because the only other things on the network are 2 hard drives (one being used for time capsule) and a printer..
This is very annoying and needs to be fixed.... don't tell me to make the computer never sleep because that defeats the power savings settings under power management.

Go to System Preferences>Network>AirPort and delete your network from the Preferred Networks box. Reenter your network information. Make sure that AirPort is the topmost listed interface when you Show Port Configurations. Apply the changes and Restart. Does it work now?
