The sensitivity/pressure is not working correctly on my ipad 1 with ios4.3.
Keyboard and Drums(especially snare), does not work properly.
Please can this be fixed. Several friends have same issue. Alternatively, please have an option to turn off the 'pressure' feature.

Not sure what to do on the drums, but on the keyboard you can "pinch" the two velocity slider bars together, which fixes the velocity to only one setting. This "pinched pair" can be slid up/down to adjust the single velocity.

Although possibly not related to your problem, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. As for your issue, I'm not sure if this is the case, but there is a little know keyboard shortcut to change the keyboard language on Windows. And it's very annoying, since it's easily triggered. I don't know exactly which one it is, but I think it's CTRL+SHIFT, the ones on the right. I suggest you ask Microsoft for support on this one. Firefox doesn't control keyboard languages.

The Publish to Responsive HTML5 function escapes these correctly in the main body of the text but does not work correctly in either the Contents or the Index of the generated HTML. In the Contents the words are completely missing and in the index entries the '\' characters that are required in the markers remain in the entry but the leading less than symbol and the first character of the word is deleted; hence what should appear as <dataseries> appears as \ataseries\>. I believe this is a FMv12 bug. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the FM team aware and working on a fix. Any suggestions for a workaround?

The Index issue is more complicated since in order to get the < and > into the index requires the entry itself to be escaped. So, in order to index '<x2settings>' you have to key '\<x2settings\>'. Looking at the generated index entry in the .js file we see '<key name=\"\\2settings\\>\">. This is a bit of a mess and produces an index entry of '\2settings\>'. This ought to be '<key name=\"&lt;x2settings&gt;\" >'. I have tested this fix and it works - but the worst of it is that the first character of the index entry has been stripped out. Consequently I cannot fix this with a few global changes - and I have a lot of index entries of this type. I'm looking forward to a response to this since I cannot publish this document in its current state.

I was researching the issue you are having and recommend a couple of things. First it might be a good idea to reset the device following iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting found here http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't quite get the device going again, I recommend restoring the device.

Might even be a good idea to turn off the phone, reseat the SIM card, and turn it back on.

The trackpad/gestures is not working correctly on mountain lion

Hello,
After I have downloaded Mountain Lion, my trackpad/gestures is not working correctly. I cannot swipe with the three fingers, etc. and have to reboot and then it works, but will eventually not work over time. Does anyone else have this problem?

I am having the same problem now.
Was okay when first installed on date of Mountain Lion release.
Now I have lost function in Spaces.
Spaces would only work if I used Dock icon to move between Spaces.
Now just run everything in one Space.

Vista has left the building...and the Recovery Disks do not work correctly.

I've spent over a month and a half trying to fix my non-booting Satellite A215-S5818 running Vista. Sometime mid-March (ah, the Ides of March!) I think I downloaded an automatic update and I remember the next time it booted my desktop was black; icons but no background picture. Then I noticed on the bottom right it was saying my copy of Vista was not genuine. I know that it is, because it is pre-installed. So I ran check disk from the Properties page of C: in Windows Explorer. After it ran, I got BSOD. At first I just booted into SafeMode and tried to disable whatever hardware/uninstall whatever software was causing the problem. I think I got it to boot in SafeMode once or twice, then no more. For a while I kept getting IRQL-NOT-LESS-OR-EQUAL, but I somehow stopped that through the command prompt(forum advice?). Startup Repair could not fix it, System Restore would not work on ANY restore points, even before March. The new BSOD error was:
"STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}-
The initial session process or system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000000 (0xc0000221 0x00100594)"
From then on I could only get a command prompt through the Repair Console. So I xcopy-ed my Users directory to an external hard drive and grudgingly booted from the Toshiba CD, knowing it would obliterate everything, but I was desperate. I got the 03-EEEE-0000 error. Now I have a plethora of useless(?) CDs and DVDs I have burned ISO images on of any Freeware I thought could fix it, downloaded from the Internet using my husband's Windows 7 desktop computer. I followed these instructions to the letter and it worked (I guess; it started immediately, no DOS objection), but when it rebooted I got a window (!) saying something about the type of hardware. I haven't added or changed any hardware, but I have updated the BIOS recently. So I clicked OK (no other choice), and now every boot up I get a window saying "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation". Startup Repair does not find any problems. Could it be the BIOS? I have re-flashed it twice, no difference.

Oops! Sorry that was stupid on my part.
From the command prompt you could type in systeminfo , and hit the 'Enter' key, it will take a little while to run, when it finishes, scroll back up to the top and you'll see OS Version and Service Pack you've got loaded. But, if you're booting off the recovery disk, that's the system info you'll get.
If you can't get to the command prompt from the Advanced Boot Options menu, by trying to boot off the hard drive, and pressing F8, I'm not sure how you can find what Service Pack you have loaded.
By using the Recovery Boot Disk, have you exhausted all the recovery options that Jerry linked before?

The pencil tool is not working correctly

I've been making my drawing with the pencil tool obviously. After I make a stroke, I continue it with the last anchor point. But sometimes when I do that, the previous stroke disappears completley. Why is that?

That's because Illustrator has got a pretty lame understanding about what should happen when you continue a path in certain angles while the Modify selected paths option is turned on inside the Pencil Tool options.
You can disable that option but I can imagine that this is not what you're really looking for.

Substitution rule is not working correctly

We have a problem in one of the newly created projects that the substitution rule is not working correctly; the data is not copied to the WBS element Cust. Enhancement tab.
Project 1 is working fine and the data is copied & Project 2 and Project 3 are not getting all the data copied to the WBS element,
In that project profile (substitution rule is given), substitution rule is also maintained
So please help why in one project substitution rule in working & other isnu2019t.

Select the WBS element in the project builder.
Cleck on Edit --> Validation Substitution --> Substitution
You will get the list of Substituitions, Double click on the required Substition rule.This action will generate a log, whether substitution has been succesfully caried out or with some error.
Kindly provide us that error log to guide you further.

It's as you say, the course pages load up, but I don't see anything in the smart groups. Just thinking out loud here…maybe the search criteria don't genuinely match anything on your site? Perhaps there are actual matches, but you've hidden content with a new credential?…I accessed both pages using the "Unauthenticated" and "All" credentials. My last/craziest guess is that it has something to do with localization…français versus anglais?

Sleep not working correctly

Since updating my Late 2010 iMac to Moutain Lion the sleep function does not work correctly. They system keep waking up for no reason. The monitor comes comes day or night. I cannot figure out a fix or work around. Any ideas?

Please read this whole message before doing anything. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it. Step 1 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.” While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin. Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)? After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it. *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing. Step 2 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. LoginFilter not working correctly

My Login filter is behaving very strangely. Here is the relevant code from the filter.

            return;The problem is we are trying to allow an external application to log into mine. The external application generates a link with an /externalLogin.do as the href. It steps into the above code and the indexOf() correctly finds it and the chain.doFilter is executed. But it never makes it to the externalLoginAction.java.
If I copy the link and put it on my Login.jsp page and click it, it makes it to the chain.doFilter the same but then continues on to the externalLoginAction.java.
So it look like the chain.doFilter is not working correctly if it is not comming from the same context?
Anyone have any ideas?

The first url was passing userName and password in the URL the second somehow got changed to userId... so struts was kicking it back.. just changed my struts config to not validate the external login form.

"Help" menu in finder is not working correctly

My "Help" menu in the finder menubar is not working correctly. If I type in a query that can't be found, instead of telling that it can't be found, underneath the search field it just displays "Searching..." indefinitely. This is no matter what application I'm in when I access the menu. I have tried the advice in http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6389569&#6389569 and that does not work. Using OS 10.5.1

I'd like to add that when I search, it will find menu commands (highlight relevant menu commands) but not return any actual help results. To clarify, this is when searching directly from the "help" menu bar item. Searching from within the help window seems to work fine.

External usb sound card is not working correctly

When my computer usb sound card is working correctly. If your computer to sleep and wake up the sound card is working correctly. If you disable the sound card and connect again, it appears extraneous sound on the background music playing. Each time the sound is different. The sound is very similar to not match the sampling frequency. If the computer is rebooted, then the sound card is working properly again.

I have not experienced problems when using the same card with Mac OS 10.5.8 with the drivers for Mac OS 10.5
Manufacturer issued driver for Snow Leopard, but the card still does not work correctly.
Also such problems, other users complain about an external USB audio card. None of the users can not find a solution to this problem.
