I am getting the prompt asking for username and passoword whenever trying to login to UCM. Please find the details as given below. I am using UCM 10gR3 with Apache server and database is oracle 11g.

warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner(basic authentication without a secure connection)
Can anyone please help me out to resolve this issue.

It’s not leading to UCM Server Login page. I supposed to give the user name and password in the UCM Server Login page but before that its asking for the username and password and even after giving the user name and password also it’s not taking. It keeps on asking for the user name and password. Can you please help me out on this.

Hello How do I set up Firefox 8.0 so that It will Ask me if I want to save a Password for a website. At present I don't get an option every time I go into a website that I know is secure I have to enter username and password. I have been though tools etc.

You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

In my company, I used FF for sometime now.
I had some problem in the beginning, but using the proxy IP and Domain\Username + Password I was able to navigate.
Ever since I tried FF4.x and FF5.x... I started to receive the following message:
The proxy moz-proxy://172.20.5.250:8080 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://172.20.5.250:8080"
Even after inserting the Domain\Username and the Password I keep receiving the same error. In FF3.xx I was able to use the proxy.
Don't know what to do any more there are several pages that have this problem.

For now... I have switched to Chrome, every new version of FF that is released I try it to see if the problem is gone. But, with no luck until now! :(I did have this problem with proxy moz-proxy prompt for username and password. In my case it was for websites hosted not on the internet but on the local corporate intranet. I solved my problem by doing the following action:
Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings: add the local website to the "No Proxy For:" field.
I hope this will help some of you out there that have manually configured their proxy settings. Also a tip if you need to turn on and off proxy settings I recommend using "Quick Proxy" add-on. -

I am currently working on a project for university which requires me to send and receive email. I was until this week able to send mail no problem, but now the SMTP server has been upgraded so that each time a mail is sent it requires the username and password.
Ideally the connection should be made using TLS/SSL, and not use the Authenticator method. I want to pass the username and password directly if possible.
I've been trying to use the following but have been getting handshake, and other exceptions:

I have the hp photosmart 6510. I have it in my college dorm, which has a secure network with requires both a user name and password. I need help setting it up as I can't seem to get the printer to enter a username and password. I know the printer works and I know that my computer can print wirelessly with the printer. WSN 1.2 NI 9792 Security: Initial Setup? Default Username and Password?

With NI WSN 1.1, using a 9792, I can click the Set Permissions button and if none had been set it would simply ask me for a new administrator password. Now, with NI WSN 1.2, when I click on the Set Permissions button it takes me to the 9792's web interface and says "Either no one is logged in or you do not have permissions to view/edit users, groups, and permissions." When I click the Login button, a box pops up and asks me for both a username and password. I scoured the release notes, help files, and the internet and it seems there is NO documentation on how to setup the very first username/password combination nor does it state what default username/password combination there might be. I also tried a brand new 9792 straight out of the box and loaded 1.2 on it and it has the same issue. Is there something obvious that I'm missing? How does someone initially set up security on the 9792?

It looks like you are needing information on how to find out the log in information of your 9792. When using NI-WSN 1.1 we allowed users to set the initial password and this is still the case for the 9791. The 9792 is a NI-WSN node gateway as well as a LabVIEW Real Time target. Its default log in information can either be found in a Knowledge Base (KB) the LabVIEW help or MAX help. Are you using LabVIEW 2009 SP1 or LabVIEW 2010?
The default user name and password is the following:
username: admin
password: <blank>

I have the interactive student mathematics CD for the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0607) Extended from Haese & Harris Publications that requires Adobe Reader and includes a 'Self-help Tutor". I can open all the features using Adobe Reader except the Self-Tutor. I get a pop-up message saying that: I require an app to open "26Unitary Method.app". I can find no mention of this app online so can someone please help me?

This happens 100% of the time.I have the same problem. It ask for all elements that proxt detects ("NetworkError: 407 Proxy Authentication Required").
Solution "No proxy" not works because i aslo require internet.
I have version 10.0.2 on windwos XP, and this happens to me since I update it. On chrome and ie works without prompt.
I upload and example, this page calls facebooks elements (i can't acces facebook) and others, for each element prompt proxy is shown. -

Sheet "31 Day diary" is linked to sheet "Caramainco". So, no matter what job we are on, the days are always recorded to the Caramanico sheet.
Is there a formula that will recognize the job name in column B sheet 1 and link to a sheet below of the same name?This is a part of the linked sheet from one job.....( Caramanico ) notice where i had to delete days where we weren't there.

Will the new version have capability to allow me to use Fingerprint for username and password entry?
I need to HP SimplePass Identity protection. This use of fingerprint technology allows sign in to websites by swipe of fingerprint and supports multiple users. Firefox supported that technology at one time but dropped support. Will the new version support it again? I quit using Firefox when the support ended and will not use it again until that functionality is restored.
HP Simplepass never stopped working for Firefox. I'm using it on Nightly 31.0a1 and it's working fine. If it does stop working, then it's HP's fault for not pushing an update to their extension.

I have done soap to file sceanrio. In that i have generated wsdl file and consumed it through the infopath. While executing through the microsoft infopath, it is asking for the userid and password. Can i include the id and password in the wsdl file itself which i will generate in ID? If yes/, please tell me the procedure to do it.As Amir suggested, you may provide in the URL but I wouldn't suggest it though. You don't want to hard code the user ID and password within in the WSDL because it is a bad practice especially the user ID and password may be different in different systems and every time you change the password, you have to regenarate your WSDL.
May be you thought through this but just in case if you didn't
