Did you try to connect in recovery mode and restore without using the latest backup?

If setting up as new device does not work, you'll have to get it serviced or looked at by visiting an Apple Store.
Did you try to remove the ipsw firmware file and restore, to make iTunes download a new copy from Apple?
    Those files are located here:
Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw)
iTunes uses "ipsw" files to restore your iPod or iPhone. If those files are unusable, then try deleting them, renaming them, or moving the file to a different directory. This will cause iTunes to download a new copy of the IPSW. When a restore issue is specific to a user, it is likely due to an unusable .ipsw file. If removing the .ipsw file does not resolve a user-specific restore issue, then the issue is caused by other user-specific security software settings or iTunes preferences. Creating a new user will also cause new .ipsw restore files to be downloaded in the new user. You can find the ".ipsw" files in these locations:
    Mac OS X
    iPhone
    ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
    iPad
    ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates

If you need to use the phone now, try using speaker phone until you can take it to an Apple store and have them further look into the problem.

  • IPhone 4S camera all of a sudden the shutter won't open, camera freezes.

My camera shutter won't open, won't take pictures, then freezes when I hit any other camera buttons.
This started happening a few days ago, before I updated my phone to 6. But it's still not working.
Tried hard reset shut off. Didn't work.

Well, there are other troubleshooting steps to take that are outlined in the User Guide.

  • Ipod touch not synching with latest version of Itunes

I connect my Ipod touch 2nd generation 8 gig to Itunes latest version and it makes the moves as if it were synching but contacts and events do not appear on the Ipod after synching. I mean new events and contacts. I have erased duplicates on my  MacBook Pro and they still appear on the Ipod. What could this be? Helo!

Syncing, unless you are loading a 64g touch for the first time, should only take a matter of minutes. Tap your iPod to wake it up and hit "Cancel Sync". Not sure what happened, but that isn't correct.
Anyway, to do a forced calendar sync where your iPod calendar is overwritten is pretty easy. With your iPod plugged into iTunes and showing in "Devices", click on the Info tab (far right). Scroll to the bottom and you will see the "Advanced" section. Pick the area you want to overwrite and resync your touch.

  • I enabled radio on my iPod Touch 2G...now I can't turn it off

I was breadboarding a microphone for my iPod Touch 2G using the headphone/mic jack as an input. I made a simple circuit to power the mics with an additional 2.4V (I suspected the PIP wasn't enough for the 4 mics I was using) but I left out the DC blocking caps on the audio out, and I plugged it into my ipod. I am a bad "engineer"; actually I'm not an engineer at all, I am a guesser and checker. well, now my recordings (with voice memos, blue fire, and epiphany) are all full of static. I thought I had burned something up, but I didn't know what; the mics are still solid (they work in my wife's identical ipod Touch). Then I tried recording again and again with just the PIP, no powering circuit, and when I listened to the static filled recordings I realized I can hear voices in the recordings. changing rooms in my house reveals these voices to be a country music station, and there is no country music on my ipod or being played within earshot of the mic. I can't change the station either.
If it wasn't the added bias voltage (present for about 10 seconds), it could have been a long-term short in one of the mics. I didn't realize one of the mics was shorting out until the music player kept coming on in the middle of my recordings, so it may not have been the added voltage that did this- it could have been a short to ground of the mic audio contact.
I understand that the bluetooth chip in these iPods has a radio tuner, and I believe I just accidentally activated it, one way or the other. But I want to record sounds through the mic, not radio, so does anyone have any ideas on how to re-disable the radio?

    Dave and Razor,
I tried the hard reset but I haven't had time to try a full restore, thanks for the suggestion. I'll do it this weekend. I am tempted to just open this ipod up and physically disable the bluetooth chip, but I may just go ahead and make a line-in adapter and microphone preamp for the dock connector rather than go through the minijack.
But if anyone can figure out how to tune this radio, its in there and definitely can be enabled...

  • ITunes Won't Open When Ipod Touch is Connected

This issue randomly started happening with iTunes 8 about a week ago. If I connect my iTouch to my computer, iTunes will load in the task manager, but not on my desktop. This also happens if I check "automatically open iTunes when iPod is connected"'
The strange thing is- if I open iTunes BEFORE connecting my ipod, and then connecting it after, everything works fine.
I've confirmed that all the additional programs are running in the task manager (iTuneshelper, exe, etc) when I connected the ipod before opening itunes. I've also tried reinstalling all Apple programs (iTunes, Quicktime, etc), and resetting the settings on my iTouch, but nothing works.
Any ideas, and thanks for your help.

FWIW i get this now and then on my winblows 'puter and just chalk it up to that. I've flushed caches and queues and rebooted and all that who-ha and quite frankly when it locks up it ticks me off to no end ('cuz it SHOULDNT do that) but i have a cold one and figure they have kindergartners doing the system programming nowadays and go from there.

  • My iPod Touch 3rd generation wont start back up after turning it off

It all started when I was downloading an update for my twitter app and when it got to "Installing..." it got stuck like that for a while so I turned the ipod off (holding the power button off) and turned it back on. So when I tried to turn it on, it gives me the Apple logo for a while then it gets the "loading sign" stuck. After 5 minutes stuck or so with the loading sign, it turns off by itself and turns back again with the Apple logo. Updating an app and getting stuck has happen to me before and it worked well turning the iPod off completley and turning it on again. And funny thing its always the Echofon Twitter App that always gets stuck when updating.
I tried connecting the iPod to my laptop and opening iTunes but when the iPod gets turned off, on the itunes it gaves me a sign that says "Ipod cannot be found. It is not sync..."
So i need help turning on my iPod back on.
    - I've never jailbroken the iPod
    - Home Button does not work

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Where it says use recovery mode, use one of these programs to place the iPod in recovery mode
    The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • MacBook Pro OSX 10.9.4 - can't open document in pages - message says need updated version and there aren't any

MacBook Pro - OSX 10.9.4 - trying to open document in pages.  Message says can't open with this version - go to app store for update, but there aren't any updates.

Hope apple can fix this soon if new patch 10.9.4 cause this.
Apple cannot fix problems they did not create. Eset and Avast are capable of doing nothing beneficial and can only cause problems. Uninstall it and determine if the problems subside.
Use Avast's uninstaller, which will remove it completely. Eset requires using the uninstaller included with its downloaded installation program (see screenshot):
Eset will also require manual techniques to uninstall components its uninstaller leaves behind, a common characteristic of poorly written software.
I am now can access an internet, with zero security.
It's a common misconception that you have "zero security" without junk such as Eset or Avast. OS X already includes robust protections against viruses and malware. Use your Mac the way it was intended to be used - without burdening it with useless garbage.
