Hi. I am really frustrated with Apple support. After two hours of trying to navigate their support site, I finally gave up. I really hope someone here will be kind enough to help me find a solution to my problem.
My iTunes always launched with my account, my library, etc. present. Now it launches in a generic form with none of my information present. It also has no "sign in" area so I can get to my data. I'm not sure what happened, can anyone help?

I've not noticed this but haven't looked for it either - I suspect you are seeing 'normal' behaviour for AppleTV 2/3 - in other words it's ignoring the iTunes flags.
With AppleTV 1 I used to set playback start/end times using Get Info in iTunes for certain self-indulgent music videos I'd bought which had several minutes of 'acting dialogue' you'd only endure once - this allowedme to shuffle music videos with only the song part of the video being played not all the waffle before the song started. AppleTV 2 and 3 ignore this setting.
Also, with AppleTV1 if you unticked the check box next to stuff you never wanted to stream AppleTV would behave as expected and not display it at all - useful for preventing non-family friendly material from streaming in the first place or excluding seasonal material and do forth. AppleTV 2/3 completely ignore the checkboxes on iTunes ans stream everything though you can of course enable parental controls.
Hard to know if it's the AppleTV's ignoring the info or iTunes not sending it to them in the first place.

They won't answer but it may get put on a 'to do' list if enough users complain.
I'm still waiting for AppleTV 2/3 to handle iTunes LP and iTunes Extras!

Computer is an HP Envy 17 laptop. Firefox does not appear on Task Manager list of processes or applications. System restore did not fix problem. Google Chrome works ok. Internet Explorer works ok until I try to download Firefox. Then it too crashes. This pc has been running Firefox fine since I purchased it 10 months ago. I upgraded FF3 to 4 then to 5 with no problems. Suddenly yesterday it stopped working. There is no error message and evidently FF does not launch because there is no listing of Firefox in Task Manager processes or applications. I tried uninstalling Firefox, then tried to download it usingInternet Explorer, but when I click on the download button at the Mozilla site, Internet Explorer crashes. I did a system restore to 8/16/11 when Firefox was still working. This restored the program but it still does not run. Google Chrome seems to run fine. My internet access is via wifi through an Actiontec router and Verizon Fios. I am running Symantec Endpoint virus protection and do not have any Norton or Skype programs listed in Control Panel. My pc is set for automatic updates from Microsoft and from HP. They both say my software is up to date. Is there a fix for this problem or is it a sinister plot by Microsoft to force us to use Internet Explorer?

Yes, you've missed the download step.
Open the Kindle app and navigate to your Library. There is a tab at the bottom that says Cloud | Device. Tap the Cloud tab and tap the books you want to download to the device. You will see a progress indicator during the download. Once it's done, read away!

Thanks for the speedy reply. I have read so many comments about Flash being incompatible with Lion I was wondering whether to download it or not. So many sites on the Web still require flash, however, you almost don't have a choice but to download it even if it is incompatible. I gather a better version of Flash will be available for Lion soon. Again, thanks for the help. I will download the latest version of Flash.

Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can reset the questions; nobody on these boards can.

I have now recently downloaded 10.0.2 which is confusing in itself, as, as far as I can ascertain that is actually version 11, but I'm not even sure about that.
Version 10.0.2 is the newest version and the successor to GarageBand '11 (version 6.0.5).
The '11 is referring to the iLife '11 suit of multimedia application - the older GarageBand was a part of this bundle.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I upgraded from iPhone 3G to 4S a few days ago. When setting up the new 4S, I choose to restore my last 3G backup. It started by updating the OS to version 5.1 (9B179) then restored my apps and setting. Everything went well except that I realized I do not have the new apps which come with the 4S, like FaceTime, HD video and Siri.
What should I do to correct this?

Ah, FaceTime is not an app, either. It's accessed by tapping the FaceTime button when you are in the contacts app and have selected a contact. This can also be done from the Phone app under the Contacts tab, or during a call, you can switch to FaceTime.
Let me know what other apps/features you are missing.

Hi...I am new to this site and it looks like I posted the question in the subject box...my bad.
I have an Iphone 3G which is used as an ipod (phone service plans are too expensive).
I had some apps on it, Facebook being one of them. The device was goins soooo slow (not even 2G of the available 6 being used) so I did as instructed and backed it up, restored it and then put the info back into it. When I tried to download the Facebook app...it said that I had a 4.2.1 system and needed a 4.3 something system? Can anyone provide any help on this or am I doing something wrong?

Sorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.

For the past few days Firefox has been freezing after I open it without even reaching the homepage - grateful for any light you can shed on this!

Can you start Firefox properly in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> by holding down the Shift/Options key?
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

Due to variables exit, it is not possible to open query pannel in webi to choose wich dimensions to add to the webi document.
The window to select dimensions simply does not appear and I can't move forward!
In RSRT ou Bex Analyzer, the query is running fine without errors.

I solved it.
The problem was due to date coming to exit - as you know some time intervals start at 01-01-1000, and as I was calculating 1000-1 = 999
I was getting and interval from 99901 to 201405. Do not know if it was not working because CHAR NUMC6 was failing trying to recognize interval 99901 - 201405, but probably, this was the issue.

Suggestions?

- After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod? If yes, restore the iPod from backup.
- If no, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:
