Reinstalling the iTunes application alone does not touch your iTunes library or media folder - even if the iTunes application was deleted first. The iTunes library or media folder is stored completely separate from the iTunes application. Just as a word document is stored completely separate from the Word application as an example.
Is your entire iTunes library now gone - no music or anything - completely empty?
If so, you did more than just reinstall iTunes.
With your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.

Sometimes the computer is running app(s) that mean that the computer stays awake. If you close all applications it will work, so the best thing may be to open each one on its own in turn to see which on is keeping your MacBook awake.

Based on your post it sounds like you would like to sync your iBooks content with your computer. I have located an article that may help you in this situation. While you can sync this data with your computer you can also use the sharing button to send PDFs using various sources:

I have an iPhone 5s and in my iTunes music library have the songs checked that I want downloaded onto my phone. Instead of doing this, it is syncing all songs whether they are checked or not even tho I have the "sync only checked songs" box checked. So basically it's syncing all of the songs when I just want the checked ones on. This is very frustrating.
When your device is connected, check the tabs at the top ("Summary" "Apps" "Music," etc. Under the Music one, check to see if "Sync Music>entire music library" is checked. If it is, that may be why all the songs are syncing.

Is it possible to have the Find My iPhone function on a PC. I have this app running well on all my OS devices. Just wondering if I can locate my OS devices from an "app" on my PC.
I do not believe there's an app for that on PC. I do recommend getting the iCloud dashboard for PC and to try it there. I would myself if my PC was working.

Can't fix the time on 7975 ip phone.
I tried to fix the time on 7975 ip phone but I could not do it. What I did is on the CCA adjust the time and it changed on two other ip phones(SPA525G and SPA504G) but did not change on the 7975 and 7942 ip phone. Also on the UC540: in the telephony-service change the time-zone 12. But still didn't change the time. I change the time-format 12 to 24 hours just to see if it is going to accept but it accepted the time-format (changed it to 24 hour format). I restart on (config-telephony)#restart/reset few times. I also reset it to the factory reset two to three times. Still could not get the right time. Any advice/opinion will be help full. THANKS.
Yes, I do. When I apply "show clock" I got the right time. But 7975 and 7942 time one hour off. I tried to change the time on the UC540 few hours but the time on the 7942 and 7975 IP phone's time changed and still one hour off from UC540. I also have no problem with other two phones(SPA525G and SPA504G).

On Maverick my i cloud will not change the verification phone number even though I have change the phone number in apple and on contacts and restarted the computer. Help? I can't get the code necessary to fix the keychain without it.
You can change the phone number the verification code is sent to from a device or Mac that has your iCloud keychain enabled as follows:
In iOS 8, tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced. In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > Account > Keychain. Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
In OS X Mavericks v10.9, choose Apple () > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Make sure the phone number under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
If you don't have access to a device or Mac with your iCloud keychain enabled, you'll have to contact Apple support to verify your identity and get assistance making the change: http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/. -
The strap of my bag broke when my laptop was in it, now it is making a buzzing noise all the time when I am using it. I have warranty with protection plan, how do I fix it?
Take it in and have it assessed. They do not have to know about the bag incident unless the explicitly ask for the specific details (like when you are being questioned by a TSA screener, LEO, etc.). As far as you know, the noise started up and it is getting warm. With luck it is just an unbalanced fan that needs replacement.

"Announce the time" doesn't work after restart, even the box is checked...

System: OSX 10.8.2 Mountain Lion
Machine: Macbook Pro 13.3" with Retina display
I checked the box saying "Announce the time" in Date and Time Preferences, and it did pretty well after I first checked it.
However, every time after I restart my macbook, it doesn't announce the time any more!
I go to Date and Time Preferences, the box "Announce the time" is still checked, but not working!
(And I am sure my macbook is not in a silent mode and I even increase the volume.)

I reset and it worked well as when I checked the option the very first time. However, when I restart the computer, it won't announce the time... I have to uncheck the option and check the option so it will work.
But I am really tired of check and uncheck the option whenever I restart my computer... -

Can only update apps when I connect via PC, this was working up to about 2 weeks ago.
I have been out foreign since last time I updated apps via iPhone and wifi.Ahhhhhhh I am go glad I am not the only one having this problem!! It started 2 weeks ago when I changed my Apple ID because it used to be my college email address (which is about to expire because I graduated) and I had to change my ID to another email address. When I did that, the whole "Cannot connect to itunes store" issue started whenever I try to update my apps either on my iphone (Update All) OR on my PC in itunes.
I now have 21 apps that need updating. This is driving me nuts. I have literally tried everything. Finally the Apple support guy I had been emailing back and forth told me to make an appointment with a hotline but I am pretty sure that costs money.....?

I synced my iphone, now I do not have my apps or my calendar on phone. How do I get them back onto phone? Things were great before sync...
The only way to do so is to start over: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. You won't be able to use the backup of your old phone unless you are setting up a new phone.

Could you confirm that when you re-open the sorted album, the display order on the top bar just over the browsing space is still in 'album' order ? That order may have been changed to a date order. For me, I get the order of the last album I opened, not necessarily the 'album' order of the present album.
