The sims 3 game error

I have the Sims 3 game since I got my MacBook Pro in 2010, with all the expansions and stuff. But some weeks ago the game doesn't work as fast as before and it suddenly closes telling about an error or simply closing the game or sometimes stucking the whole computer.
If anyone experienced something like this, not only with the sims game but also with other games, please tell me what to do. I went to the apple store in Barcelona and they didn't know what happened with my little mac.

Can I buy a new graphics controller for my specific model computer that will support The Sims 3?

Need to know what model the laptop is.
The error is saying that your video card/adapter doesn't support at least shader model 2.0 and the game needs it in order to run.
if you have windows xp i would download the latest directx 9.0c from microsoft.com and also get the latest video drivers for your video card.
if those 2 don't help (i'm sure it won't) then that's all you can do for that laptop.
You can also go to canirunit.com and select the game you're planning on running and let it do a system check and it will tell you if your system can really run that game or not.
There are many great and inexpensive laptops you can get nowadays for no more $500 that can run even newer games on.

The Sims Game won't start after latest OSX update?

Ive tried so many things but my problem just don't get fixed!
Yesterday I updated my MacBook Air with the new OSX 10.8.4 Update, since then my Sims 3 is not working no more!
I tried a lot of things from the view that Sims was the Problem, but since this Problem accured just after I updated my Mac System, I figured it has to do something with the new Apple Update!
When I start my Sims all I see is a Black Screen, It wont react unless I end with cmd/esc.
I tried a lot of things and it just won't help anything.
I reinstalled the Sims and it just doesnt show any process.
I would be so glad, if sb. could help me and know why my Sims Game is acting up so much, since the new Mac OSX update.
Maybe the Sims and the new Update is not compatible with each other?

Boot into the Safe Mode and try to open it.
Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application unistaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

so i have a macbook and i have sims 2 and i stupidly deleted it from my computer and now everything i try and install it is comes up with error code -36.

I tried your idea. Looks like my gmail account is fine (no more requires attention errors) but I can't seem to open the mailbox. In the apps list it says Google Mail but when I click on it nothing much happens. I also pinned it to my start screen but same thing...I click on it but it doesn't open my mailbox. There's a number 1 on the tile (same as when it stopped working). There's no way to delete the Google Mail app and the gmail account isn't listed as a separate app.

I purchased something in the sims game and it says i already purchased but the in app isnt downloaded? What does that mean?

I made a 20 dollar purchase and it didnt go through. When i try again it says my purchase has been made but it was downloaded in my in app store???

It sounds like you made an in app purchase, the app shows you purchased it, but it isnt appearing in the app. I would reach out to our iTunes Store support directly with this article named:

Can I play The Sims on a Mac?

Just wondering if I can play the original The Sims game son a Mac? I've entered the Disc... but I'm not sure how to operate it... install it.. etc. Thanks!

Torch sim card error

Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem?? My sim card works perfectly in other cellphones. I have tried using it in my old BB, but also gives me the sim card error message.

Installing sims game discs on computer

Ok so when u all stop laughing at my incompetence on an apple computer I really do need an answer to the question of how do I install the sims game from the game discs onto my computer. As I stated before I am a windows guy and my wife made me buy the iMac. Please help me

DNA Sim Card Error

I have had my DNA since mid February, and started having SIM card issues within a month. After the phone update came out to "eliminate" the SIM card error it went until almost July without one hiccup. However, a few weeks ago I started getting the error about every other day. Now I am having to remove and reinsert the SIM card multiple times a day. I have also learned to restart the phone to fix the issue when its inconvenient to remove the card (which is almost always). I have not done a factory reset because I have seen that it fixes nothing. I am still using the original SIM card because I have seen no results from others replacing the card. Verizon and HTC need to get this figured out ASAP. I will never buy another HTC product, and am strongly considering another company for my cell phone usage. The consumer should not have to deal with this issue, or pay for another phone. We should be compensated and offered out of the contract or an alternate device. What is going to happen if someone has a SIM card issue and cannot use their phone to call the police? Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen...

It's not just HTC devices that have displayed this problem, there is a thread of people having this same issue with the Galaxy S3. It seems as though the most consistent fix has been to put a small piece of scotch tape on the back of the SIM card before inserting it. Sounds to me like there is just a little too much play in the SIM slot and the bit of extra pressure solves it.

Should I buy the SIMS 2 game?

Can anyone give me any advice......I really want to get the SIMS 2 game, but my G4 867 MHz processor isn't fast enough. I have the original SIMS game, but I'd really like to get the SIMS 2 one..it looks so good, and people have said that it's a great game.

I have the Sims 2 running well on a G3 B&W Powermac converted to a Sonnet G4 500mhz with an upgraded Radeon video card. Works fine. Sluggish at startup (takes about 45 seconds to load the game) and I also get a dialog box saying a G4 500mhz procesor or higher is recommended but thereafter the game plays well. With only one exception. I sometimes get an error message when i attempt to turn aging feature off since my daughter prefers not to allow the characters to age.
This error message reads as follows:
"Shader validation: shader program build error:"
It often appears in a text box with the same message repeated 10 times. And I have no idea how to address this.
But other than what I mentioned above, I'm at a loss to understand why you feel Sims 2 won't work on a G4 867 since I also have it running perfectly (no errors whatsoever) on a second Powermac (G4 733 mhz Digital Audio S-Drive). This latter G4PM is rather zippy and plays the game significantly faster than the B&W mentioned above. All features work well like aging, reflections in mirrors, and all movements are very smooth.

Sim error MM#3 (If it isn't the sim, could it be hardware related?) - Z30

So yesterday I get off a phone call and I get kicked off the mobile network. I look in settings and it is shifting from Bell then to Rogers (I'm on Telus) with sim MM#3 error.
I called support, and they told me everything is fine on their end. So I tried a restart and it fixed the problem. But today, I had the same MM#3 message after ending a call. Another restart and it's fine. I called Telus again and this time they said remove the sim and put it back in. Did that.
The phone is working still, but if it happens again I'm not sure what to do. Obviously I'd get another SIM, but I'm also curious it it could be hardware related? I've had the Z30 since November 2013 and I've never had this issue before.
Any thoughts? Is there any way to run a diagnostic on the phone itself to test for hardware issues?

I would also recommend a new SIM card. I haven't seen this issue with other #Z30 devices.

Sims game keeps quiting and giving me a type 3 error message!

Hi,
I have been playing The Sims Original on my Power Macintosh 8600/300 for awhile now and all of a sudden after installing well over 800 new items (Like TVs,couches) it continuesly closes out and gives me a type 3 error message sometimes it freezes the whole computer as well. It simply just closes out as if I clicked it then once its closed it will give me the error message. I have never had this problem before and yes Iam pretty sure it can possibly be the items but theres so many and I dont want to loose them all! I dont even know for sure if thats the problem. My PM 8600 runs Mac OS 9.2.2,and has 160MB of RAM.

Well I just installed it into my iMac yesterday (Without any of the downloads) and it works fine! I guess it was the downloads. Ill have to watch out for them. I dont know why though, Even after I got rid of them all on thePowerMac it didnt stop with the message so I put them back! Then I got a type 2 error. Why? I like it on the iMac but I cant get my saved files over on this mac. Can I share files VIA USB?

HT3960 My iPhone will not update. it keeps asking me to restore but then says there's an internal error -1. At first it wouldn't update saying there was no SIM Card. This was a used phone that i had the SIM Card replaced

Got a used iPhone4 to replace my lost one, had the screen replaced and then had the SIM card replaced by Best Buy.
They had issues in the store connecting to iTunes but the Geek Squad where they wiped it and said all was good.
Got home to update it and all was good up to the point where i needed to have the phone to work.
Then it wouldn't recognize there was a SIM card and to restore my phone.
it comes up now with unable to restore, unknown error -1
