"The site says xdb"

Hi,
One a new 11g database, I have configured APEX and ran the apxconf script and provided the port number as 8080. When attempting to access APEX home, I am getting a login box asking for username/password. Here is the prompt:
A username and password are being requeted by http:.....:8080. The site says: XDB:
BTW, I unlocked anonymous user accounts, bounced the db/listeners etc....still not able to get rid of the login window. When the correct username/password keyed-in, it tells me that .../apex/apex_admin not available.
Any help to fix this annoying error would be greatly appreciated.

I ran into a similar problem. I am on 11.1 w/'internal' web server.
Login to the db as sysdba
from the SQL> prompt run
@?/rdbms/admin/epgstat
This will generate a report of various DAD settings stored in the database.
If the DAD virtual-path mappings shows 'no rows selected' and the DAD attributes shows 'no rows selected'
try running from the apex directory on your server (where apexins.sql, etc reside)
@apex_epg_config <fully qualified path to oracle home>
something like
@apex_epg_config /u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0
Then run the epgstat report again. The virtual-path and attributes sections should now be populated.
Try the URL again.

In some pages I keep receiving this message: "The proxy moz-proxy://172.20.5.250:8080 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "moz-proxy://172.20.5.250:8080"".

In my company, I used FF for sometime now.
I had some problem in the beginning, but using the proxy IP and Domain\Username + Password I was able to navigate.
Ever since I tried FF4.x and FF5.x... I started to receive the following message:

Even after inserting the Domain\Username and the Password I keep receiving the same error. In FF3.xx I was able to use the proxy.
Don't know what to do any more there are several pages that have this problem.

Even when I try to see the extensions I get this error. This is so weird!!!
For now... I have switched to Chrome, every new version of FF that is released I try it to see if the problem is gone. But, with no luck until now! :(

I did have this problem with proxy moz-proxy prompt for username and password. In my case it was for websites hosted not on the internet but on the local corporate intranet. I solved my problem by doing the following action:
Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network -> Settings: add the local website to the "No Proxy For:" field.
I hope this will help some of you out there that have manually configured their proxy settings. Also a tip if you need to turn on and off proxy settings I recommend using "Quick Proxy" add-on.

I am trying to download Photoshop on my mac, the site says the download started but nothing happens...

I am trying to install the CC on my Mac because my desktop computer died on me. I logged in, selected photoshop ( or premiere, or after effects) and hit the download button. The site says download in progress but nothing happens. I have downloaded other software ( not adobe) and it worked fine...Any idea what is wrong? I am not a Mac person and I am kind of lost. I thought adding the passwords to keychain would stop these annoying logins. But now they still pop up as usual but now have the added bonus of having my login and password already filled in. So now anyone can get into my internet access.
Is there anyway of turning off the login box if the mac already knows the password?

Flash drive? Can you mean that it's flash video?
If it's flash video then you'd need to look in the app store and see if there is a third party flash player or a video converter for your mac that can convert those flash files to the mp4 or m4v that the ipad prefers...and there could be the further complication that the files may/may not have DRM that prohibit their alteration.
I think your best bet would be to communicate with them and see what advice they give on file formats. You can't be the only one wanting to view the videos on an iPad.

How can I retrieve the songs I purchased before? The site says that the song has been purchased and I want to retrieve them.

I have a new computer, when I am on the itunes store site and buying songs. It shows when I look at old songs that I have purchased them already but I have no record of them with the new computer. Is there a way to retrieve these songs?

Sorry Ralph, but music purchases from the iTunes store are a one time download only, so you'll have to repurchase these tracks. However, some individuals have been allowed to redownload this purchased music for free by contacting iTunes support and explaining your situation to them. Worth a shot at this point.

I have the same problem. It ask for all elements that proxt detects ("NetworkError: 407 Proxy Authentication Required").

I believe you are talking about deleting unneeded emails on icloud.com. You do this by going to icloud.com on your computer, signing in with your iCloud ID and password, clicking on Mail, clicking your inbox or folders on the left side, then selecting email to the right that you no longer need, then clicking on the trach can icon at the top. After deleting all the email you no longer want to keep, you need to empty the trash to permanently remove it from your iCloud account. To do this, click on the gear shaped icon on the upper right and select Empty Trash (see image below).

Site says I don't have reader, but I do

I am trying to download some documents from a website and it requires that I have adobe reader. I am using internet explorer and I have both Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader, yet the site says I don't have it and that I need to download it in order to view and or print my documents.
Does anyone know what to do to solve this??

There is a very good chance you are experiencing a problem with having both Reader and Acrobat installed on the same machine.
You need to remove one and repair (or possibly reinstall) the other. It isn't recommended or supported to have both.
