The slow loading is unbearable

Question

Recently I have found that whenever I go to the "Apple Discussions" page & then to any of the forums it takes forever for the page to load! Like right now it took 20-30 seconds to load the "discussions" page & 30-40 seconds to load this forum's page. I have a 5megabit cable connection & I don't think there is any problem there since I can load other pages very, very fast including the Apple Store & other Apple sites. Could this problem be an overload of the discussions servers or does anyone have any suggestions as to what it may be or what I can do to resolve this. The situation makes using the forums very frustrating.

Until the press puts some pressure on Apple to fix their "Apple Discussions" site there will be no improvement in making it useable again. It is so slow now it is basically unuseable. I would love to see Macworld bring this to the attention of the entire Mac community & apply some pressure on Apple to fix the problem.

There's nothing to be gained by "applying pressure" from any outside agency, for they will already be under a tremendous amount of pressure to resolve whatever issues they may be having.
I can't agree with this idea. "They" are the 'in the trenches' people actually doing the work & are no doubt doing everything in their power to resolve the issues as quickly & professionally as possible, with or without outside pressure. However, they are limited by the resources the corporation makes available to them & it is at this level that outside pressure can make a difference.
This latest round of upgrades to Discussions has obviously been a major one, & it is taking an unprecedented amount of time to get the bugs out -- weeks instead of days. So clearly, Apple has not allocated enough resources to make the changes in a smooth, timely manner.
Pressure from the bottom up (IOW, from the lower sections of an organizational chart to the upper ones) isn't noted for its effectiveness in rectifying this kind of problem. This is true not just for Apple but for any entity so structured, be it a corporation, a military unit, or whatever. Top down pressure gets far better results (for what I hope are obvious reasons) & there is no better way to instigate this than by pressure from outside the organization, in this case from the users & stockholders the top tiers of the organization must keep happy if the organization is to remain successful.
IOW, it is not effective to rant here about the problems (but of course it is useful to delineate them). It is often very effective to rant (a bit) about them in other forums of public opinion. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, but it has to be heard to be noticed.
