The small track ball on top of my mouse will only scroll up, not down now.
well it used to work...any ideas why it won't scroll down anymore? its just a few months old.
can the mouse get dirty inside? how to take the base off to clean?

There is a post, somewhere, on taking it apart. Not for the faint of heart.
Standard advice, if you search on clean, is a lint free cloth dampened w water or alcohol / disconnect / turn upside down / roll vigorously in all directions. Maybe blow out w caned air. If it is still under warranty, take it in and let them do it. No luck then you get a new one.

When in a catalog folder and showing a single picture, the mouse wheel only scrolls up, not down. This behavior is not seen in any program other than elements. If more than one line of pictures is showing in the window, it works fine, both up and down scrolling.

in the program pages there is a function that automatically will save may document not only one i click save
In Lion and Mountain Lion you must save the first time then it will autosave for you with versions.
ForEverSave, a 3rd party application, might actually prompt you after a set period. Check it out and any alternatives.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />

Try the basic troublshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B: Resart, Reset, Restore using backup, Restore as new.

I'm guessing that you'r not buying a new edition of the Adobe Suite 5.5.
Apparently Adobe haven't been awake to make sure the 5.5 is 100% compatiable with Lion. However, I do believe it's only a few minor troubles you will experince and Adobe constantly update their software to adjust to Lion.
You should go to Adobe.com and see the list of known issues.

Since maverick (os X 10.9.1) has been installed my track pad on my mac book pro (late 2011) is hit and miss, reset it worked for a bit then seems to die. Doesn't matter what application I am using. This is on all internet browsers as well FF, Safari and chrome.
I took it to the apple store and they couldnt find anything wrong with it (as ive had other issues with it such as a kernal panic and optical drive spitting out dvds and not burning cds properly)
Its only scrolling it seems to have an issue with. All the othe gestures are fine ive even tried switching all the gesture off and on again, restarting the mac but the same problem persits a while later. It can be working for 10minutes or 8 hours and then boom no longer works.Remove Growl, DiVXHTML and other DIVX software (use MPEG4Streamclip or Smartconverter or Wondershare Videoconverter for videos you need to convert for your own use, and not for giving to others unless you own the copyright for it). Update your Adobe Flash from http://www.adobe.com/
Shut down Parallels except when you need to use. Disable Citrix and your File Sharing for VPN or remote access for Citrix except for when you use remote access. Find out how to remove Peerguardian. The Mac has its own firewall which blocks all except ping attacks through Apple menu -> System Preferences -> File Sharing. Use a hardware router to block ping attacks. Parallels has its own built-in networking firewall for Parallels itself.

Just upgraded to Lion. Scroll does not respond. Have tried altering preferences. Will not fix. In all applications, including this page, a box appears and seems to randomly move around the screen, resting wherever I begin to work. How can I turn this off and get scroll to work normally?

Can not down load up date for flash player..I tried removing my original flash player and this did not work...and now i have no flask player! A firefox window opens for down load and only reads "save" or "cancel" it does not have a "RUN" button. When I double click on the saved document it does not down load. Now what can I do??

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that helps to install Flash. -
Extend Wireless Network using a Telstra technicolor Gateway wireless Router to Airpot extreme but Airport will only except "join a wireless network (which it does) not "extend a wireless network" (Led turns yellow and I can not get a network working on the Airpor Extreme ethernet ports but can ping Airport extreme from Technicolor Router.
Airport gets it address DHCP.Funny how I can ping the Extreme but the Hard Ethernet ports dont seem to work correctly.
When the AirPort Extreme is configured to "Join" a wireless network, the Ethernet ports are not enabled.
Oddly, the AirPort Express has a special feature that will allow it to to "Join" virtually any wireless network.....and the Ethernet port can be enabled. So, an Express would work for your purpose to provide an Ethernet connection to the media player. This assumes that the Express is located where it can receive a strong wireless signal from your main router.
Note that the Express will not provide any additional wireless coverage when it "Joins". -
The tool bar line has suddenly disappeared and cannot print or check history. Also, bottom tool bar has disappeared so cannot see clock, shift to other programs.
Only happens with FireFox. If I access any www site via FireFox, same problem. I have re-booted several times, same problem.
