The sound at youtube goes mute automatically and/or when i'm in a flash game and i press a link the sound also mutes. it only happened when i updated firefox :(
the sound mutes, the bar keeps downloading and "playing"
when i go back or pause+play the sound goes back on
when im playing a game i have to open chrome because the sound mutes everytime i click anything on the (flash) game
im considering moving to chrome, im very disapointed with last firefox update, its full of bugs... ;(
Recent crashes of certain multimedia contents (this includes Youtube videos, certain flash games and other applications) in conjunction with Firefox are most probably caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and/or a malfunctioning Real Player browser plugin.

Remove all apps from multitasking bar. Double click Home button then tap and hold an icon and tap on little x on every app. Then reset. Hold down Home and Power button until Apple logo appears.

I wish to use the previous version not the one that has today been automatically installed. My settings were to let me know and I decide to install when I'm ready, how do I go back. This because one of the previous Plugins does not work with this version, and they have no fix for it yet!

3 year old iMac 24 running OS 10.7.4. After it has been on for a day or so, it stops going to sleep and becomes very slow. This only happens when Safari is running. Quitting Safari solves the problem. Has anyone else have the same problem? Does not happen on MacBookpro only on iMac.

Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts? -
Does anyone know why when streaming a movie from my iMac the screen on my tele goes grey but I still get audio. It only happens when using the DVD application on the mac. iPhoto streams fine.
You are prevented from Airplay mirroring certain things like DVD content as the material is usually protected so you get a checkerboard type display. I think there is a theoretical risk that the Airplay stream could be intercepted and the protected video copied, albeitin lower quality.
Apple may be being cautious or are required to do so with the DVD player app by movie studios/licensing authorities. It makes no sense to the average consumer who is just trying to send their purchased DVD to the TV via the computer and AppleTV.
Playback in something like VLC should work - not tried it myself but others have commented it doesn't have the restriction. -
After a HD crash, I have to reinstall Photoshop Element 12 and Premier Element 12. I still see the link in my purchases history but nothing happens when I click on the link. How can I get my softwares back?

My balance sounds horrible when is at the center ... it only happen when I plug my Headphones... if I move the balance to the left/right i have a mono sound in my headphones left/right
I too am experiencing this issue after upgrading to Mavericks. Headphone audio balance seems to always stick to the far right. When moved to the center, it still only outputs sound to the right side. I have to constantly adjust the setting a little to the left of center for both sides to output sound equally.

Firefox allows to select part of a word. You can select a word with a double click and use Shift + left click to set the end of the selection, so you need to click at the end of the last word instead of in it.

When I try to play flash games it uses the wrong gpu
When I try to play flash games it uses my integrated Intel gpu not my dedicated Nvidia one. Other games use the correct gpu, however. Is there any way that I could possibly force flash to use the correct gpu? I can't change it through the Nvidia settings as it is apart of browsers and I can't change browser gpus.
Unable to find ANY GPU settings in Firefox.
I don't use IE or Chrome, so I can't say how to even check them.
Nvidia forums have NOTHING on forcing a browser to use a specific GPU, and I know Flash has nothing in settings to do it. -

So, I got Adobe CC a year ago and I recently downloaded ABOBE CC 2014 at adobes SUGGESTION. When I open After effects it says I only have 4 (and counting ) days left to purchase…………I’m supposed to get it for FREE, right?. It doesn’t happen when I open illustrator and Photoshop CC 2014. Flash Games and Videos stopped working all of a sudden
I used to be able to play various Flash games and watch videos, but I started noticing last week that I have lost the ability to do so on every browser I have installed (IE, GC, FF). I tried my other computer and everything works fine. I have been through many troubleshooting steps, talked ot the developers of the game I tried playing, and more. I still can't figure out what the issue is.
I'm having the same problem and there's no resolution to be found. You try and click on a video on FB (or play a game) and it says you need "Flash Driver" and I have it. Very frustrating
