The sound on my ipad disappeared,please help its my only device
Ok 3 days ago the sound disappeared and the slider in the music app wasnt there and there was no slider when I double click the one button,and when I try to use the volume buttons nothing happens. I tried everything resetting,rebooting checking if it was mute,but later I read something that told me to clean my dock connector with a toothbrush and alcohol,and for some reason THAT WORKED. However,sometimes the problem comes back and that is really annoying and frustrating. Do u have any idea of what is wrong and how do I permeantly solve this problem.
1. Double-click the Home button and swipe the Task Bar (at bottom) to the right. Check volume and mute settings.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo

Website shows all the cells borders on ipad. Please help!

I am a new member.
I just realized that only on ipads and iphones, my website www.carmenguedez.com shows all the cell borders. Every page has a table defined in HTML/CSS and the borders are hidden in all browsers viewed from PC's. How can I fix it?
My husband and I created my website from scratch using dreamweaver and reading online tutorials, etc. We are not experts in web development and I couldn't find an answer online.
How can I hide these cells borders?

CarmenI found the solution to my problem. I just nedded to add the bg color to my table:
<table width="831" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="Table_Border">
I changed to: <table width="831" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="Table_Border" bgcolor="#35281c">
Now, the table borders don't show on ipads.

I got a brand new I phone from the apple store three weeks ago and my silent button had just stopped working, I have the latest hardware and update. I have turned the phone on and off as well as switched the sound on and off many times but the sound wont go off.
You shouldn't lose anything because its all saved on the internet. Since you're using an account. It will all still be there if you delete the app, reinstall it and log back in.
Deleting the app should work, but if it doesn't, you will usually have to wait for a bug fix app update. Every time your app crashes it sends a report to instagram and they try and fix the problem, so the bug fix update shouldn't take too long. -

Do you get sound on any apps e.g. Music and Videos but not others ? If you do then have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. Hi, sill no joy with my sound on my iPad .the sound only works on one app ( Annie ) and the ring volume and it works for about 5 seconds after I switch it on . 1. What version of the Mac OS are you running (Apple > About this Mac)?
2. What version of the iOS are you running (Settings > About)?
3. Do you use MobileMe/ iCloud or another server based sync solution like Google or Yahoo?
4. Do other changes to synced information like Address Book content sync successfully back and forth?
Based on your description it sounds like you have a 1 way sync issue. Events sync fine between the iOS devices and fine from the computer to the iOS devices but not from the iOS devices to the computer.
Try:
Backup your computer and iOS devices before doing anything else:

I'm a new user of these apple forums so I don't really know how stuff works, bur here's my question
Recently, the sound on my iPad Air randomly shuts down, (os 7.1 downloaded) then it randomly pops up again. Sounds in the videos of photo gallery still works, as well as the videos on the internet (browser: chrome), and videis on Facebook too, but sounds like key board clicks, lock sounds, and games from the App Store store stop working... Please help, and I would also like to know if there are any other owners out there who face the same problem...Rev_JC:
Welcome to Apple Discussions.
There are a number of possible approaches to your issue. At first I thought it may be that your logic board was going out. The it sounded as if you needed to Reset the PMU. Finally, who talked about slapping it around and getting results, it sounds like it may be a loose display cable or something of that sort. Since you are completely new to Macs your best bet would be to go online and make an appointment at the Genius Bar in your local Apple Store. It costs nothing. They will look over your computer and give you an idea of what is wrong and what it will cost to rectify it.
Meanwhile, to help to identify your computer more closely, while the computer is booted go to Apple Menu > About this Mac. That will tell you the OS you have installed, the Processor speed and the computer you have. Please report this info back with you response.

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I have no trouble viewing apps in the iTunes Store on my iPad. However, every time I try to install a new app, I get an error message after a while - cannot connect to iTunes Store. This issues cropped up two days ago on my new iPad. Please help...

I"m going to make the presumption that you've checked the volume and that you don't have it muted. One thing some have suggested is to go into the settings and reset all settings.
It is kind of a drag because you wil have to retweak everything but it's helped for some. -

I want to swap my 3rd generation 64gb 3G ipad, for the same as a mini. However cellular is confusing me, can I get 3G on a cellular ipad? Please help. Want to put the sim I take out of the ipad into the mini. On the apple shop website, the cellular model is £100 more expensive then the 3G one, however in currys it only sells cellular. I do not want to make a mistake it's a lot of money.
3G and cellular are different ways of referring to the same thing, they can use the mobile networks for data. The cellular/3G models are £100 more than the wifi-only version.
The 3rd gen iPad uses a micro-sim card, the Mini iPads use smaller nano-sim cards, so you won't ba able to use the same sim card.

I received a replacement iPad. On my original iPad I had dozens of books and PDF's. I completely backed up my original iPad. The categories of my iBook files transferred but NOT the actual PDF and Books. Please help.
Are the PDFs and ibooks on your computer's iTunes ? If so then you should be able to re-sync them, if not then you can re-download ibooks for free as long as they are still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519 . The backup doesn't contain the contents of the ibooks app, so for them to be restored to the device they needed to be in your iTunes library.
