The speed of the latest Firefox version is NOT awesome - it's crap

Firefox keeps crashing with the message "Well, this is embarrassing" coming up all the time.
Also, the speed is far from "Awesome" as you claim - it is in fact so slow I have started to go back to IE or Safari.

the thumbnails for the new tab page are stored in the cache, so in case you've set firefox to create no cache (in options > advanced > network) or delete the cache on shutdown (options > privacy) it might not work....

my wife was using another application and when she minimized this app, firefox was updating without any prompting to us, which I thought was unusual. The "new' firefox page just doesn't look right. Is norton 360 ready with SafeWeb for the latest firefox version?

Some time ago I received a warning to wait with installing a firefox update because parts of Norton 360 - I think it was SafeWeb - wouldn't work. I received later a notification from Norton that Norton was now in line with Firefox. Am I going to have the same problem with Norton 360 again if I will update to the latest Firefox version?

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.

iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

The website for adding "sync" to my Firefox version, does not work. Is there another fix for this problem?

I'm trying to sync bookmarks from our laptop to our desktop computer. The laptop is running Firefox 16.0.2 and the desktop has version 3.6.8. On the desktop, under "Tools, Options" there is no selection for "Sync". The desktop is running Windows XP Media Center Edition.
I did try to download a patch from your site, but the download website is no longer working. Is there some other patch you can offer to solve this problem? Can I upgrade the desktop to a newer Firefox version?

The old Firefox Sync extension for older Firefox versions was discontinued by Mozilla over a year ago. Update Firefox.

I'd love to use Safari as my main browser--simply because over the last four years I have migrated from everything PC to everything Mac--however, Safari to me just doesn't cut it compared to Firefox on my iMax ( IE is worse). Anybody else feel the same?

Latest Firefox version has display problems

Hello guys,
There is a major issue with the latest Firefox version for Android.
most of the times it displyas half-black web pages.
This is not related to a specific website.
also sometimes, when i click links, they are not responding. actually, in older versions, at least when you click a link, it vibrates and make sound.
please fix these issues. firefox was great. why did you ruin it with these updates. they were unecessary.

I have an 20" iMac and a 13" Mac Book Pro, both intel Core 2 Duo based. I live in Ecuador where the internet service is not as fast as in other countries. I purchased the Lion OS from the App store, However, due to the speed of the internet service I haven't been able to download it so, almost impossible for me to use the download version.
My Question would be if there is a disk I can buy or any other way to get it solved. I live in a city where ther is not available even a Mac service shop.
Wainting for some light on this matter.....

Try a "full reset" of Time Machine, per #A4 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum).
If all else fails, take it to your local Apple Store or Authorized Repair location, they may be able to determine whether the disk is dead.

This does not appear anywhere in the interface.

The suggested (obscure) key combo does nothing.
If you delete all tracks and then drag a wave file from Finder into your project, GarageBand messes up both the playback speed and pitch. Furthermore, the so-called track "track info" on the right makes no sense. It always displays "Real Instrument" and "Master Track", even when this is not the type of track you're working with.
