On your phone, make sure that you are signed in to the same itunes account that you use on your computer: Settings>Store>View Account. Once you've done that, sync your phone. Itunes account info is transferred during the sync process. See if this fixes the issue.

After using iTunes Match, 5 songs have a "was not copied because the audio format is not supported by the iPhone".
I have deleted these songs and downloaded them from iTunes Match (they were "matched" and not "uploaded" files). However, it still does not work.

I have the same issue with 8 songs in my library. All are "Matched" and I've tried deleting them and redownloading them from iTunes Match, but they won't play in iTunes or transfer to any of my iDevices.

Sound has stopped working; failed to play test tone; format not supported by the device (Vista x64 Ultimate)

I can no longer hear any sound from my speakers/headphones. This happened suddenly yesterday without any hardware changes or noticeable software updates.
-- The sound is not muted and the volume is set to full.
-- In the device manager, my SigmaTel HD Audio device has no warnings or errors.
-- I can't find any related messages in the Event Viewer.
-- The primary audio device is selected as the default for playback. The mixer shows my media player as being mixed properly to the device.
-- In the sound control panel, under Playback > Speakers/Headphones > Properties > Advanced:
- I get the error message "failed to play test tone" when I try to Test my Default Format (dvd quality)
- I get the error message "format not supported by the device" when I try to change my Default Format
-- Note that unlike others who have similar problems, I'm not joined to a domain

* "disable all enhancements" in the sound control panel

I followed the following steps:
    * using regedit, go to HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\WMI\AutoLogger\Audio and change the “Start” value from 0 to 1.
    * Reboot the machine
    * Try to play an audio file.
    * Post a link to the generated log file which you can find in: %WINDIR%\system32\LogFiles\Audio
but don't know where to post the resulting AudioSrv.Evm.001 file. It's also not human readable and I can't find what utility parses it for reading.

Still can't read the EVM. logparser 2.2 can't parse it.

Upon your description, I see that you have done a lot of research and tests. Unfortunately, none of these troubleshooting works.
Based on my experience, this issue related to "failed to play test tone" can be related to several reasons. It also includes hardware defect. I am confusing why Dell confirms that the issue is related to Operating System. Could you let me know what operation Dell had troubleshot with you?
Meanwhile, here I just provide more troubleshooting except what you performed. If it doesn't work, I may also need to recommend that you contact Dell for support.
1. Microsoft has released a Hotfix to troubleshoot related to "Failed to play test tone".

3. I noticed that this issue occurred not long ago, I may need to suggest that you perform a System Restore to the previous restore point when the computer without any problem.

3)     Choose Basic Restore.
4)     Follow the wizard and click Next.

Meanwhile, as I know, I'm afraid that there is no other way to look at EVM file except Windows Driver Kit. Maybe there are some third-party software that out of my mind can look at EVM files, you may need to perform more research on Internet.

Error message: URL's with the type "file:" are not supported. I get this pop-up twice each time I enter Safari and Mail.

Everytime I go into Mail and/or Safari, I receive a pop-up the states "There was a problem connecting to the server. URL's with the type "File:" are not supported. The pop-up comes up twice each time and I have to click "ok" to close them. Only started after install of OS Lion 10.7. Any one else have this and is there a solution. I have 200+ files that "is not supported by the ipod."!!

ipod q: everytime i connect my ipod to computer, an itunes popup window tells me that "Some of the items in the iTunes library, including [song title], were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this ipod." they were fine before!
what! this includes podcasts, songs etc. there's a list of 208(!!!!) files that "were not copied becaause the file type is not supported by the ipod"!

sounds like an authorisation problem try selecting all the files that won't play, then go to "window" (ithink) then un authorise the files the do the same thing again but this time authorise them. I don't have itunes infront of me right now to double check but i think that should be right.

Quicktime exported "Video format not supported by the iPod". Why?

Most likely the resolution or bitrate doesn't fall into the supported Video spec.
If you are using a Mac, I suggest you download a free video converter, called handbrake
You can also Google for other version of the video convertor if you are using Windows.

For some reason on an update the CreatedAt field is created and given a value of null. So of course on an insert/update it will error because CreatedAt is an Identity field.
I've tried to configure the modelBuilder in my context to tell it that CreatedAt is an identity field, but that still doesn't work.

So far the only way to fix this is by commenting out my Seed data, but it's not a fix. I've seen other solutions where you can force it to not serialize certain fields, but I don't know if those solutions apply.

So I think this occurs because you might have created the database (Code-first) with POCOs that didn't have the CreatedAt field in them. I think that's what I did and the easiest way to fix it for me was to delete my database and re-create it with my POCOs
inheriting from Entity Data from the very beginning. We were still in development so it worked out for us but I know some people might not be able to do that. Here's what my table looks like after it was created correctly:

Error in CodeFirst Seed with migrations : Modifying a column with the 'Identity' pattern is not supported. Column: 'CreatedAt'. Table: 'CodeFirstDatabaseSchema.Category'.

Hi,
I have activated migrations on my Azure Mobile Services project. I filled the new seed function Inside the Configuration.cs class of the migrations. If the tables are empty, the seed function is going without any problems. When my AddorUpdate tries to update
the first object I get the error in the inner exception : "Modifying a column with the 'Identity' pattern is not supported. Column: 'CreatedAt'. Table: 'CodeFirstDatabaseSchema.Category'."
Part of my code is as follows:

This occurred to me because I changed my POCO models to inherit from EntityData after I had already created my database without the extra Azure Mobile Service properties (UpdatedAt, CreatedAt, Deleted). The only way I fixed it was to drop the database and
start over with my classes inheriting from EntityData from the beginning. If you can't do that then I would create a new table with EntityData models and see how that database is created and manually update your tables to match those. Here's an image of one
of my tables from the management console on Azure. You can see that CreatedAt is an index.

The invoked member is not supported in a dynamic assembly?

I have an application that creates a report viewer control on a windows form. It then creates a derived ReportClass using System.Reflection.Emit. When the viewer ReportSource is set to the derived ReportClass we get the following message:
The invoked member is not supported in a dynamic assembly.
Any idea what is happening here?
Are dynamically created types not going to work?

It's entirely possible. The viewer's ReportSource does have COM dependencies for rendering the report. I haven't heard of anything specific to reflection and dynamic classes but from what I've heard there have been issues (not specific to CR) beween that and COM in general. I'm not well-versed in reflection so I can't speculate as to what the actual issue might be.
If you want a finite answer from the Product Group on this one, your best bet is to log a message. Otherwise, were you looking for another workaround, other than the one you've already found?

Hi All,
I Found the Solution.
The SAPinst tool was somehow not able to extracte the
J2EEINSTALL.SAR files from the JAVA Components DVD.
So I manually extracted the the file in the temporary install folder which the SAPinst creates in the /tmp filesystem (on LINUX by deafult) during the installation process.
The following command is used (I used this on Red Hat LINUX 5.2) to extract the J2EEINSTALL.SAR file:-
/sapmnt/SMD/exe/SAPCAR
-xvf /dump/SR4_Java_Components/D51033521/DATA_UNITS/JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_J2EE_INST/J2EEINSTALL.SAR
/sapmnt/SMD/exe/SAPCAR -->source directory of the file SAPCAR which is used to extarct CAR / SAR files on UNIX
/dump/SR4_Java_Components/D51033521/DATA_UNITS/JAVA_J2EE_OSINDEP_J2EE_INST/J2EEINSTALL.SAR--> destination dir. where the SAPinst tool will read and execute the file.
