Greetings community, new first time owner of a Lenovo Product....
This has been a very upsetting experience to the date. I received my W530 5/20/2013 after two delays in the shipping. Upon the initial startup I was met with an immediate BSOD. Not entirely worried I continued with the routine update of Lenovo and then windows programs. Unfortunately, the BSoD continued from that moment on for the next few hours. After living through that I called up Lenovo support service and began asking questions. They said I could send it in to be repaired.
Following the first repair, (which results were a simle re-image) I wanted to test my faith in Lenovo so when the issues continued with error codes such as "PFN_list_corrupt", ""Memory_management". I sent it again.
After receiving w530 back from second depot, issues on CPU OS_lockup and Re-image were the actions taken.
Once again, a short hour after initial startup I was greeted warmly by "Memory_management".
I suspect the RAM or the memory control on board as the culprit behind these issues... and i would really appreciate any help searching for a way to resolve them.
The newest errror code today was a "System_service_exception" (0x0000003b)
I have passed the 21 days for return on the product while only having the laptop in my possesion for <14 days. Return is (unfortunely and highly depressing.) not an option. I just want to get to the bottom of receiving the product in this state and a means fix the recurring issues that updated drivers/solutions software cannot do alone.
Is there any advice the community could offer me in this possition?

I have encountered the 3b BSOD quite a few times along with a long list of other BSODs.
Depending on how many ram you have. Try taking all but one stick out of the computer and see if it persists. Try your different RAM sticks that way.
Another option is to run some RAM test, but they will often say that nothing is wrong (they did on mine).
When I got all my RAM switched the BSODs stopped.
Before that my computer supplier tried loading a new win 7 image, changed HD (twice), changed GPU, changed motherboard.
But all it took was 16 GB of fresh RAM.

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.04
If I am listening to music using my Apple earphones when I pull the earphones out the music pauses as expected. However, when I go back and plug the earphones in and try to play on with the music nothing happens and I have to go back to the list of tracks and select a new one from the start.
This also is impacting my listening to music from my iPhone on my motorcuycle audio system. The iPhone is plugged into a USB port on the bike and prior to iOS7 always resumed playing music from wherever it was in a track and displayed the music track name on the bike info panel.
Since upgrading now the music won't start and again I have to pull the iphone out of the glovebox and go back to the list of tracks and select a new track. But the moment the power interrupts or the nav audio cuts in and switches from iPod the music pauses and doen't restart as it always did.
Apple, what have you done?? You have basically taken the very first App that made the iPod exist and stop it functioning properly. When are you going to fix this or is there already some obscure setting that needs to be changed but that is not prominently displayed in settings anywhere? How can I make my iPhone function as an iPod properly again for my music needs?Nothing wrong, no panic. Some general remarks:
a. the battery will not be charged when over 95% full; a full battery is not charged
b. it is good for the battery to have it go down to about 50% before recharging, say once a week at least.
c. never let the battery go down completely, so that it shuts off on its own: that is very bad for a modern smart Li battery.
d. sometimes the old "battery calibration" procedure is advised, you should not do that.
trick: when you click the little battery icon in the top menu bar, you also see if there is a heavy energy user running. -

I now have a new computer, running Windows 7, and I have the old hard drive as my 2nd hard drive.

I can't seem to remove / unload the external swf files e.g when the carousel.swf (portfolio) is displayed and I press the about button the about content is overlapping the carousel (portfolio) . How can I remove / unload an external swf file from the main flash file and load a new swf file, while at the same time removing garbage collection from memory?

Thank you for the helpful advice. I made the changes as you suggested but I am receiving a #1009 error message even though my site is working the way I wan it to work. I would still like to fix the errors so that my site runs and error free. This is the error I am receiving:
"TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference."
I'm sure this is not the best method to unload loaders and I am guessing this is why I am receiving the following error message.

I also tried creating a function to unload the loader but received the same error message and my portfolio swf was not showing at all.

I have a question regarding suggestion you made to set Mouse Event to "null". What does this do setting the MouseEvent do exactly? Also, since I've set the MouseEvent to null do I also have to set the loader to null? e.g.

After loading the internet using Firefox AND then selecting NEWS and a delay the Error "The MSN toolbar has encountered an error. etc" occurs. Also, when browsing some searches are "REDIRECTED"!

I'm trying to get my itunes to go back to english but is coming up Russian on windows 7. I initally installed English version and about 6 months ago it came back Russian. It was English for over 2 yrs. I have use all the suggestion including unistall and reenstall of a new down load from apple.
I copied the iTunes file from the external drive and it's in both places. I thought all I would need is the iTunes program (which I downloaded to new computer) and my iTunes library file. There must be something else that's missing. My iTunes library looks the same on the new computer as it does when I open it on the external drive. If I click on an iTunes library song from my new computer, it will only play if I have the external drive plugged in.
My back-up drive is a mess. I have multiple copies of music, video, photo, and document files and I don't know how that happened. ={ Obviously, I don't know how to back up stuff properly and there are back-up files extending over a 6- to 8-year period. I think all I did was just drag and drop the main folders from the back-up drive to the same main folders on the C: drive. Also (and I'm kind of fuzzy on this) Windows used to automatically save music files in a folder within my document files (which makes no sense to me). As my Jewish friends would say, "Oy Vey!" -
I have tried uninstalling & installing firefox and it still won't let me open any websites. I have used firefox for a long time and it has worked great. I did recently install Office 360, but firefox worked after it was installed. Any ideas?

I need to add my new ipod to itunes.
itunes will only show the old, dead ipod that my niece had given me secondhand.
I just got a new one and want to put in it's serial number, etc. but keep the music.
Please help, I've been going around in circles online for hours. I don't want to merely change the name of the old ipod, which is the only info I can find.

Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
However it appears that no playlists or any other info such as ratings/last played etc will transfer.
If this is important to you, you may want to use other options.
There's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod to iTunes.
Once the music from your iPod is in your new iTunes library, you can go about adding new music as you did previously. -

That won't do the trick. You really need the computer. That way all your data and files can be backed up when you backup the computer.
Your only other option, which is much more limited, is using iCloud:

Can I recreate my proper library with its 8700+ songs and a load of meta data from the iPod. Since two upgrades ago iTunes, for me, has become very unreliable.

Migration of the User exits and reports to new ECC 6.0 from 4.6c

I have a late 2013 Macbook pro with retina display running OS X (Mavericks) my siteadvisor had recently grayed out and was not protecting against sites so I uninstalled my acfee internet security suite (provided by Cox with my account) and the siteadvisor altogether. I then reinstalled the Mcafee internet security and went to download the siteadvisor website. Once I went to download the siteadvisor installer stops and says "A newer version of SiteAdvisor is already installed on your Mac." How do I get my siteadvisor installed and back working again.
