The taskbar disappears when I open firefox. It just statred doing this. Any suggestions for how to fix it? I'm running on XP. Thank you in advance.
When it is just my desktop on the screen, the taskbar is at the bottom as usual. Now when I open Firefox, the taskbar disappears. This just started yesterday. I'm running Windows XP on this laptop. Any suggestions on how to correct the problem would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Have you got Firefox's menubar displaying if so turn that off using
* View -> Toolbars -> [] Menu Bar
That may restore the Orange Firefox Button. Post back as to whether that works.
I do not use Vista, but it seems odd that only Firefox should make the Vista taskbar disappear. You would do better to post your own question in a new thread.

Try quitting Newsstand completely - double tap home button, delete it from the multitasking shelf - then launch it again.

I am currently having the same problem with music that is downloaded to my laptop and stored into itunes/itunes match which is not downloading to my ipad. I had this same problem a few months a go and it was fixed with a update to my ipad but it has happened again with most recent update. The bad thing is I didn't notice until I went to listen to the music on my ipad and it was available. Apple is becoming very unattractive to me. I am in search of a diffrent device.

Your phone still thinks it is plugged into the stereo. I don't remember how to solve this but perhaps you can search through the forum or maybe one of the members here will jump in on how to switch the playback to speakers.

Firefox won't open at all.
Error Meassage: Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. Unfortunately the crash reporter is unable to submit a crash report. Details: The application did not leave a crash dump file.
I've restarted my computer and I've tried a system restore. I've also unintstalled and reinstalled firefox.
Sometimes, I may get the crash report, but if I click Restart Firefox, that error message will just pop up.Make sure that you have iTunes installed properly and that the program has registered the itpc: protocol.

McAfee have taken the decision to rewrite the Firefox SiteAdvisor plugin to make it easier to update. This should ensure that Mozilla's fast-release schedule does not cause lengthy delays after future version updates. What it means for Firefox now though is that until the rewrite is complete - and tested - SiteAdvisor is being prevented from loading in Firefox in order to avoid the possibility of software incompatibility.
The SA rewrite is projected to take a few weeks to complete and test; it should be ready by about the third week of July, although the exact date is not being given at this stage. It could be earlier.
In the meantime, users who are concerned about the safety of websites may wish to consider WOT as a temporary substitute. WOT ratings are set by user consensus rather than by automated site testing, so WOT is not a full replacement for SiteAdvisor. It is, however, a good rating tool in its own right (I use both it and SiteAdvisor in all my browsers) and is apparently unaffected by the upgrade to FF5.

If it was permanent marker, you probably can't. Lenses often have layers of film on their glass to reduce glare and distortion that would be damaged by any chemical that could remove marker. You can try very carefully cleaning the lens with denatured alcohol - don't use enough that it can drip or seep into the iPhone - but my guess is that the lens is permanently damaged. Apple cannot repair just the lens, but will replace the entire iPhone for either the AppleCare+ deductible, if you have that coverage, or their standard out-of-warranty replacement price. Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment. -
I was having issues with firefox so I upgraded to firefox 4. I am connected to the internet but when I open firefox or even internet explorer it says Unable to connect problem loading page. Nothing will pull up!!!
I don't know if you are still having the issue but if you are have you contacted your ISP? It sounds to me like it's more of a connectivity issue than a browser problem. I've dealt with similar things several times and in both cases it was something with the modem or an ISP setting.
I'm also wondering if it could be a Wi-Fi issue. Can you log in to your router? (It varies by brand but you would go to a site such as http://192.168.10.1. That is for Trendnet. The information for yours should be in the documentation that came with it.)
You should be able to get the router log in page to come up even if you can't connect to any websites. (Provided the network is set up correctly.)
I also would double check your connection settings (if you're connecting over Wi-Fi) or your ethernet connection. (If you're connected directly to the modem and router.)

Found 0 results for When I open Firefox I get a "Well this is embarrassing" message. Makes no difference if I click on "Start a new session" or "Restore", it crashes. There have been similar reports, yes. You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.

While syncing my I phone it gets to step six "optimizing " and gets almost to the end and I get a message that itunes has stopped working and has to close. It get to like 1074 of 1138 items to optimize when iTunes quits. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<
So, could you, apple developers, please, explain WHAT THIS PROBLEM IS ABOUT?!!!!!! FIX IT! When I try to use the internal hard drive as a scratch disk I get this error "unable to set scratch disk- the selected directory is on write protect or non-writable media. Any ideas on how to fix this. It only happens in fcp.
By internal, I assume you're referring to your systems (boot) drive. Is it, by chance, a partitioned dive?
Also…although many people successfully use their systems drives as scratch disks, over time you'll have better results using a dedicated drive for your media.
