The text in all my ibooks has disappeared!

I was reading on my iPad yesterday and when I turned the page it was blank.  As was the next one and the one after that...  so I tried to go back to my purchases and reload the book, but purchases wouldn't load.  I tried opening a book that I had already finished, and all the text in that iBook was gone as well.  I can't get the iBook store to load, either.  Is this an iBook issue or a cloud issue?  How can I fix it?

If you are having issues with your iBooks on your iPad showing no text, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPad -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

    Are you using a non-English variant of Thunderbird? This might explain the difference in the wording used.

    I have a essay I've been working on, using MS Word for Mac and today when I opened the file all the text is missing.     That issue can be caused by the Adblock Plus extension.

    You'll need to switch off iTunes Match on the device &amp; sync the iPod with iTunes as hopefully you've kept all your music on your PC.

    You have one and possibly two problems.
    First problem you tried to open the iPhoto library with iTunes and appeared to have set iTunes as the default app for iPhoto Libraries. That isn;t going to work.
    To fix that select the iPhoto library in the Finder and do a File->Get Info. In the middle of the Info window you'll see Open With dropbox. Click on that and select iPhoto, then select the Change All button
    This will get iPhoto back as the default app to open iPhoto Libraries.
    Double click the library now and if nothing else is wrong iPhoto will open the library. If it does do as Michael wrote and go to the Applications folder and drag iPhoto to the dock to remake the shortcut.
    However since you started this thread by saying that the iPhoto shortcut in the dock had a question mark on it it is possible that iPhoto is missing from your Applications folder. If it is post back.

    If you are lucky you may be able to recreate your library using the method here:

    If that doesn't work you can just add your iTunes Music folder using "Add Folder to Library", that gets your music back in the library but loses playlists and ratings etc.
    Becuase this is rather a common problem, it is a good idea to make backups of you Library file from time to time:
    Backup the iTunes Library Files
    The library files are in:
    My Documents\My Music\iTunes
    Close iTunes and wait about 30 seconds.
    Copy iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml somewhere else e.g. into the Previous iTunes Libraries folder.
    To restore, with iTunes closed drag the current itl and xml file from the iTunes folder to the desktop, then copy the backup iTunes Library.itl into the iTunes folder. The xml file isn’t necessary but can come in handy if the library needs to be recreated and the itl file is causing problems.

    I already had that done IE. I had duet already chosen as input and output etc etc.
    The problem seemed to be the issue that was addressed by Eriksimon:

    Following that advice gave me a drop down menu which allowed the various buttons to be
    checked and unchecked.

    More to the point I find using Logic needlessly tiresome
    and the explanations that are given in the "Help" menu
    are nothing short of tragic. Perhaps Apple could start to give
    out free ropes or razor blades to everyone who buys the program.
    Not to say it is not much better that the other junk out there, it is,
    the sorry fact is that that is not saying much at all.

    Have you checked whether the emails are visible at http://icloud.com ? If they are, it's a problem between your Mac and the website; sign out in System Preferences>iCloud and sign back in again.
    If they aren't, then it's a server problem and you need to contact Support. If you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

    You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
    If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support and you may be asked to pay a fee; if so you should argue that this is a problem they've caused (it's not the first time, by the way) and you shouldn't be charged.

    The paths won't agree on the two OSs so a simple XML import isn't likely to work.
    See Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers and, if needed, Make a split library portable. The techniques in the first link will work when moving the library between Windows and OS X as long as the library is "portable", but iTunes takes quite some time checking the database when the library is opened under a different OS.
