The textbook I purchased in ibooks will not download.  I have enough available space.

I have purchased the McGraw hill biology textbook and it appears on my book shelf.  But it will not download.  I have enough available memory.  I have rebooted and reinstalled.  I have downloaded it on desktop. Still will not download to my iPad3

Sheilag44930607 do you receive any specific error messages when you try to install Photoshop?  What version of Photoshop are you installing?  Finally what operating system are you using?

Restart your phone, and if you can connect it to a computer and update it from iTunes instead of through wifi.

    My ibooks will not download

The original author isn't clear whether he means the ibooks app or a purchased iBook. I have purchased an iBook from the iBook store, and while I can download it to my mac, I can't download it to my ipad. You suggest syncing between the two, which sounds reasonable, but how do you do this? iBooks doesn't work like iTunes does.

  • TS1702 iBooks will not download at this time

It is trying to update, but will not download. It is not paused, and it cannot be deleted. It is shaded--lighter in color, and I can't open it from the home screen, but it will open a PDF from my email, etc. very frustrating. I am working on an iPad 1, which will not update to iOS 6, and the app says that it has updates for iOS 6, but there is no way to get it out of the "stuck" condition. Any suggestions?

You can reset all of the settings on your Apple TV to factory values.
Important: This requires you to reenter all of your network and account
    information.
    To reset all settings:
Choose Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
If you still have trouble, try resetting your equipment by disconnecting Apple TV, your TV, your wireless networking equipment or base station, and your router from the power outlet. Wait 30 seconds, and then reconnect everything.

  • IBook will not download even though it says it has already downloaded

    Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with a couple of iBooks I have recently downloaded. The iTunes store says that these books have downloaded already, however I cannot open them on my iPhone because it says that they are still downloading. Because I downloaded these books about a day ago, they should have completely downloaded on my phone by now; yet, my phone says there has been no progress in downloading the items. I've tried everything, from restarting and restoring my phone, to deleting the file and then redownloading it but nothing is working. I am having this problem with a couple of iBooks, but not ones that I purchased previously. Anyone have any advice? I'd very much enjoy reading books that I bought...
    Kind regards,
    Song02
P.S. I should mention that I have the latest software for iTunes, iBook, and the iPhone, so I don't believe the problem is due to old software.

    Hey Caseyb1tx,
I'd take a look at the following two articles to see if they can resolve the issue you're experiencing:
iTunes: Downloading iTunes for Windows using Internet Explorer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3212
Trouble installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1926
The File Download window will ask you to Run or Save the iTunes file you are downloading, try choosing each option to see if one works over the other - if you Save it, the iTunesSetup.exe file is saved onto your computer, so look where it is saving to and open the file from there to install iTunes.
    Have a good one,
    David

  • IBooks2 iBook will not download

I have purchased the Pearson "Biology" textbook.  I can download the "sample" of that book, and of all the other textbooks just fine.  I can download the full version of other textbooks just fine.  When I try to download the Pearson Biology (from the "purchased" section of the iBook Store) book it shows the progress bar in the book in my library but never progresses.. after some time (and usually some app switching) when I open ibooks again it tells me it could not download "biology" and to ether retry or try again later.  I am connected to Wifi not 3g (3g is disabled) Here is what I have done:
iBooks and iPad2 (32gig 3g ATT)  is fully up to date, I have uninstalled and reinstalled ibooks...
Rebooted iPad both by using the hold the sleep button till the slider comes out method, and the holding home and sleep button
connected to 2 different wifi networks in two different locations...
    disabled and reenabled wifi
I can download apps, other books, other textbooks etc... just not this one...
the only thing I did NOT try is sync the iPad with a computer with the ibook downloaded to it...
    Thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!

sync the iPad with a computer with the ibook downloaded to it
That was going to be my suggestion!

  • Updates will not download and have frozen my phone.

With the release of iOS 6, I was subjected to a torrent of app updates adding support for iOS6.  I had not yet (and did not plan to) performed the iOS update, but I figured I would just allow the apps to update.  There were about 20 updates, so I just reveiwed them all and hit "update all".  Upon doing so, my phone became inoperable, paralysed by the process of downloading and installing the apps, and has been frozen in this state for 24 hours.
I can activate the lock screen, but unlocking the phone occurs after about a minute delay.  Once in the phone, I am unable to open anything.  Sometimes an app will start but will always cash within seconds.  I have rebooted, only to find it in the same state.  I have attempted to sync, restore, reset... none worked.  I always get errors like, "sync failed to start", "there was an error connecting to the iphone", etc...
Because the phone continuously cycles (autonomously) through unlock, freeze, lock, lockscreen appears, unlock, freeze... it does not allow the computer to do anything,  I can not pause the downloads, I can not delete the apps, I can not do ANYTHING.  I have a $300 paperweight.
    Please help!

One approach, if you haven't tried it would be to do a restore...then when putting your stuff back on after the restore, incrementally add the apps back in....
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If that doesn't work, you could try dfu mode....I haven't tried this in iOS 6, but imagine it works the same...
DFU mode[1] is a state that you can put your iPhone into where it can interface with iTunes but does not load the iPhone operating system or boot loader (this is what really differs DFU mode from recovery mode). DFU stands for Device Firmware Update.
While connected to PC, running iTunes, hold down Home and Power( button on upper right edge) button for exactly 8 seconds.
Release the power button.  Restore message will appear in iTunes.  The device will be recognized by iTunes, but no display will appear on the device itself.  The lack of a display on the device will verify that it is in dfu mode.

  • Ibooks will not download purchased books from cloud on iPad

I have an iPad 1 and I have recently downloaded version 5.01 onto it but in the process all my music and books were gone. I was able to retrieve all of my music but whenever I try to redownload the books I have already purchased in the ibooks store it begins downloading then stops right when it is almost over. I have tried going to cloud also but this does the same thing. Please help!

I Just figured this out. I had downloaded a bunch of books on my iPhone and had the greyed-out issue on my iPad with sync collections enabled. Had tried all the same fixes as indicated in this thread and others without success. What worked was restarting my iPad (this may not be a necessary stage) and searching for the titles that were stuck In the iBooks store. As expected each showed an 'in progress' download button. I was finally able to tap this to stop the (non-existent) download, which hadn't been possible within 'My Books' or the 'Purchased' tab on the store. When I tapped the button briefly jumped to 'Read' then changed to the standard iCloud download button for a previous purchase. Tapping this successfully initiated the download, which then synced into the right collection in my library.
    Hope it works for you!

  • My purchased logic pro will not download- options ? :(

I have just purchased logic pro from apple store online, but it doesnt seem to be downloading for me . I can see it in the Purchased list in my appstore , and in the status column to the right of the app, it just says "waiting". Nothing has doanloaded for quite a while now....... Help me !

    Restart your Mac...
    Test..
    If that doesn't work...
Sign out of the Mac App Store app using the menubar option Store > Sign Out
Quit the Mac App Store app
Relaunch the Mac App Store app and sign back in again using the same Apple ID you used to purchase LPX, again via the menu option Store > Sign In
Look out for any dialog boxes requesting you agree to new Terms and Conditions... and do so..
Once purchased, any apps you bought will be found under the Purchase tab of the Mac App Store application... so check for LPX there and download install.

  • Attempting to download Adobe Flash Player 11.3 to use the Picaboo Photo website and it will not download. Help please?? :)

In an attempt to create a photobook with a Groupon I purchased, I need to have Adobe Flash Player 11.3. When I click 'Get Started' on the Picaboo website then 'Yes' to 'This content requires Adobe Flash Player 11.3. Would you like to download?' it then states at the bottom left that 'Canceled Openin the Page' and I can't find if its downloaded. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

    SOLUTION:
Needed to update the Operating System that I was on - computer is only a 2008, but that means way outdated. They don't sell it in the Apple stores, you have to call to order it and it's less then $30 with delivery.
