The time in iCal, iMail, and Screensaver clock is incorrect
*I've noticed that the time given for events in iCal is always displayed as 7:08pm and the time that is displayed for all of my emails regardless of what time they were recieved is displayed as 7:08, and the time displayed in my screen saver is also stuck at 7:08. The clock in the upper right corner of the screen is right on though, and is working just fine. I also noticed that in iCal the time scale in the day mode is gone, it just says -sat- where there should be a time, except for noon which is displayed as such. This is just a little problem that has been bugging me lately if anyone has any insight into how this can be fixed please let me know, i can take screen shots of some of the examples if needed.*

HT5313 How about fixing the bugs in iCal? and Sleep Mode?
The 10.7.5 update sure has a lot of fluff patches. When is Apple going to fix something important, like all the bugs in iCal? And the bugs in Sleep Mode?
Examples:
• iCal events tend to pop up 30+ minutes late all day if I sleep the computer overnight. This has been going on since 10.3.9.
• Network Issues: iChat sessions via Bonjour have to be manually restarted after coming out of sleep.
• Disks mounted over the network dismount during sleep.
• Screen Saver doesn't play well with other apps: I lock the screen when I'm away from my desk. If Firefox starts using all available CPU time while the screen saver is on, screen saver won't exit. This can make it very difficult to get control of the machine.
How about a patch for the above?
I'm a professional software engineer, so spare me the Blame The Customer tactics.PS. Best Example:
• Last week I almost missed an appointment because iCal decided I wanted to be alerted to this event 9 hours after it happened. ... Maybe you think I typed it into iCal wrong. So what if I did? WHO THE #@$! WANTS AN ALERT *AFTER* AN EVENT HAPPENS? Why is it even an option? -
How do I log the time in hours, minutes and seconds to a table
Hi
I'm a relatively new user of Labview. I am currently writing a program that logs the temperature of an oven and the current time to a table and graph. I am using a GPIB card to communicate with the oven. I have used the Get Date/Time string to get the time and the Decimal String to Number to convert the time to a number which I have then put into an array which goes to a table and graph. My problem at the moment is that the time is being logged in hours only. I need to log the time in hours, minutes and seconds. Can you tell me how I can do this?Hi,
I can see the setup now. The decimal string to number will only ever give the hours, since the ':' character is not part of a number, so won't translate. Use the code I attached previously to get the time as a timestamp, and then go from there.
I've made some modifications, although you'll need to alter the file save to take into account the double precision number
for the timestamp is now 3E+9 (since it's seconds since 1904!!), but since you're writing to a comma separated values (or tab deliminated) style file, this shouldn't be a problem. You could always do a textual save from the table instead.

Everytime I try to sync my mac calendar with icloud, the times get switched around and I can't retrieve them. Now I no longer know what time my appointments really are. I have to have my laptop with me in order to check my appointments?! This is driving me crazy. Can anyone help me fix this problem?
Thanks!I'm not sure what you mean by the times get switched around, but you migh check on both mac and device in the Time & Date section of preferences/settings to be sure they are both in the same time zone.

How will the Time Capsule support IPv6 and coop with the new emerging security threats that will emerge due to the new technical possibilities that IPv6 provide?
Cross your fingers and hope.
Obviously if there is any big or known threat Apple will send out a firmware fix.
But the TC is designed to be end user simple device. It has no firewall that is visible at any rate. I don't know that it truly doesn't have a firewall but it is not part of the end user controls.
IMO if you have major security concerns that go beyond end device firewall, which is where Apple do put most of the security, since firewall in the router is plainly not a stop to anybody deliberately downloading an infected file or website, and most end users.. do not want a firewall that prevents them using the web like a business does, where only certain ports are allowed. Everything else tough luck.. you are not allowed to use it. Then TC is unsuitable for you anyway.. buy a proper firewall appliance. -
Just bought HP Envy 4-1030us 2 days ago and i have configured my needful software. The fan seems to be running most of the time (battery or powered) and it is very noisy and annoying. I turned off the coolsense too but still noisy. Pls let me know what to do? Is it problem with the laptop. Should I return?
You can enter the BIOS and disable the "Fan Always On" setting.
I suggest leaving the coolsense on.

Cant tell the time when reciving calls and iPhone is locked
here is the setuation .. it was middle of the night .. my iPhone is next to me .. i am in bed .. iPhone locks it self and goes to black screen .. i go to sleep .. some times later in the night, i get a phone call .. iPhone rings .. i pick it up .. its one of my co workers .. i can read his name .. BUT, i could not tell what time it wan when i picked my iPhone ... the clock up on the top is not visibale .. because the iPhone is locked .. so for a few seconds there, i did not know the time .. till i had to answer .. and belive me .. you need to know what time it is when someone calls you while sleeping .. as i am sure you all know, there is a sence of eargency to any call you recieve during your sleep ..!!
these little things should not be missed by Apple "Guines" enginers .. this bug needs to be fixed asap ..
However, if the iPhone is not locked .. and you do get a phone .. the clock will still be up there for you to see what time it is ... this bug only happens if your iPhone is locked .. then the clock will be replaced by the lock symbole .. iPhone not cool !!I believe this is normal. When you hit the top button you are putting the phone into sleep mode. When you recieve and miss a call it will show up on your phone. If it is left untouched it will go back to sleep after awhile (depending on what your sleep settings are) However when you go back to your phone after being away from it, if you press either the top button (sleep/wake) or the bottom button (home) it should still show whether or not you recieved a missed call or text message.

How can I safe my data back from the Time capsule to iphone and macbook?
Hi,
last weekend we were robbed while being on vacation and iphones and macbook air got stolen. Good thing was that at home we had a time capsule and our normal macbook. As soon as we get the new iphones and the new airbook we want to get our itunes and apps and datas back to the iphones and airbook ... can somebody tell us how to re-safe or back-safe stuff from the time capsule back to the equipment?
Thank you ... I feel so "naked" without my phone :-(
VirtualkateSorry about your loss. Follow the directions here to use Time Capsule to restore your new Air to the state your old Air was in when stolen. When you first connect your new phones, you'll be given the option of restoring from the backup of your old phones or setting up as new. Restore from your previous backups, followed by syncing your content back to your phones. You should be good to go. Maintaining current backups makes this a piece of cake.

Can I use the time capsule as backup and hard disk at the same time?
Hi.
I want to buy a time capsule.
I wondered, if I can use the time capsule as backup (over time machine) and as a hard disk at the same time?
If I buy the 2TB time capsule, I wanted to use 1TB for the backup and 1TB for hard disk.
Is this possible?
Best wishes
SophieIt is not recommended.. the problem being anything stored on the TC only is not backed up and cannot be backed up by the TC itself or Time Machine. So what are you going to do about back.. the TC can and do die suddenly.. and the cost of recovery can be huge.
See Q3 here for the semi-right way to do it if you must.
http://pondini.org/TM/Time_Capsule.html
You can plug a USB drive into the TC and use that for files.. but note, its speed is poor.. fine for wireless as wireless is even slower but you will really notice it if you expect the drive to be as fast as the internal.. it will be a fraction of the internal drive speed. 1/2 write and 1/3 read aprox.

Update termination error at the time of order creation and chamge?
Dear gurus,
Facing an error at the time of creation of order.
system is giving update termination error & when we are going in change mode of that order system is giving an error message " SD document XXXX is not in the database or has been achieved"
please treat on priority
regards,
kraiHi,
Goto ST22 T.Code and analyse the error. The error message why it is terminated will be displayed here.
Or go to SBWP T.Code in the user where you got this error and check the inbox.
It will display why the error is appearing.
Show the same to the ABAPer and ask them to work on it.
I think your server may be slow and it will take some time to update the order created by you.But I am not sure.Check the error message.

Am I the only one who is experiencing constant crashing with Flash Pro 5.5 on both Mac and PC?
I have a mobile project that has a handful of *.as files and one primary *.fla file (~17MB) and Flash crashes on me ALL THE TIME when I'm working on the project. The timing/frequency of the crashes is varied - sometimes it crashes when I'm duplicating a symbol, sometimes it crashes when I delete a keyframe, sometimes it crashes when I test movie ... the list goes on. If my FLA was gigantic I might understand slugish performance at times - but a FLA < 20MB seems pretty modest. I also keep very few other apps open while I have Flash open.
My hardware is a macbook pro 4GB RAM (2010 model) and a Windows 7 x64 8MB RAM Intel PC. Both machines are fairly high end and varied in components (video card, sound card, etc) - so I have a hard time blaming any specific hardware element for the Flash Pro crashing. I'm running the Master Collection version of the Adobe apps (not that that matters) but it does add to my frustration that our company paid so much $$$ for that license but we're having to deal with so many crashes a day.
After working with Flash through most of my career (since Flash 1), I have never seen such buggy performance of the IDE. I am at my wits end with this. Can someone please let me know if they also experience these crashes? If there's anything I can do to stop/reduce them? And/or if the next update/iteration of Flash Pro will be more stable?
Thanks for any advice, hope, encouragement anything would be appreciated...
