The time in my iPhone and in my iCloud account differ precisely one hour. How can this happen?

I live in Lisbon, Portugal, and my iCloud account is set. to the Greenwich meridean. However, events in my iPhone Calendar are one hour delayed when compared to the corresponding events appearing in my iCloud account Calendar. Any explanation as to why this is so?

Go to icloud.com, sign into your iCloud account, click your name at the top and choose Account Settings, click Time Zone and be sure it is set to a city near you as well as to the correct time zone. Then open your calendar on icloud.com, click the gear-shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, click the Advanced tab and make sure you have not checked time zone support at the top.
Then on your phone go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Time Zone Support (in the Calendars section) and make sure this is set to Off.

You should be storing everything on your computer and you should always backup your computer. Have you failed to do these things?
If so, not good, then you can redownload some iTunes purchases in some countries. Open iTunes store, click Purchased under Quick links

Thanks for your prompt reply. However, the sources you gave do not seem to apply exactly to my situation. I have attached some screenshots that show what the dialogue box looks like for a pdf download, and what my settings in the Apps panel of Options are. You will note in the first screenshot that I have checked the box to handle this file type automatically; however, the next time I try to download a file of that type, the same dialogue box appears looking exactly like the one shown, so checking the "automatic" option appears to do nothing. The files to be downloaded from my Gmail messages are not generic or altered file types - they are shown as pdf, doc, docx, etc. So while your intent was good, your post did not help. Thanks anyway.

Connect the old phone to your computer, right click on it in iTunes, and choose Transfer Purchases. That should put all of your music in iTunes except any tracks that were not purchased from iTunes. Put the phone into airplane mode for a little while and see if the battery still drains at the accelerated rate. If so, there is some type of service/app that is draining your battery.
First, try turning off all unused notifications. That did the trick for me when I had this problem.

How can this happen? Is there any way to prevent the database from allowing invalid dates to be inserted.

That's part of the problem. We don't have direct access to the database. I don't know what the equivalent of SQL Server's Query Analyzer or SSMS in Oracle. I'm more of a 'NET and SQL Server developer.
What the group I am helping does is extract the data (from a system they don't control) using Focus. They send a SQL statement and then Focus retrieves the rowset and does what Focus calls a TABLE FILE operation to put it in a Focus file. Because the Focus rowset typing appears to be based on what datatypes Oracle represents the columns as having, Focus then attempts to interpret the date and time as valid. But apparently they are so messed up that Focus actually halts/crashes.
So every morning, they notify the group responsible for the Oracle system to "fix" the records that are bad. They apparently do this by copying the END_TIME to the START_TIME, hopefully with a simple UPDATE query, but perhaps manually with some other tool.
I'm also not a Focus expert, but in experimenting with sending different SQL statements (like using to_char() to identify the bad data) we did eventually find out how to identify these records using DUMP. What I helped the MIS group here do was to change their SQL query to be:
SELECT CASE WHEN DUMP(START_TIME) = 'Typ=12 Len=7: 100,99,255,255,0,0,0' THEN END_TIME ELSE START_TIME END AS START_TIME
FROM etc.

DId you power it off ond then back on?
Did you reset the iPod?
I would try resertting the iPod. Noting is lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

A guess: your friend was standing beside you when this was demonstrated. There are several apps available (all described as "entertainment"). The app was simply showing where your friends iphone was, i.e. Right where you were. Your position cannot be tracked. The apps are meant for joking.

To clarify: you are not being charged for the extra storage - it's complimentary to reflect the fact that you had storage in MobileMe. At the end of June it will disappear unless you care to pay to renew it.

Same machine - many MAC and IP addresses. How can this happen?

Both my machines show (on WakeonLan) as having more than one IP address and MAC address. This resulted yesterday in my wife's Windows laptop which had a fixed ip address not working because the IP address had recently been adopted by the iMac.
