The time zone is incorrect on my Verizon iPad 3 when lte is enabled.

My time zone is incorrect when the LTE network is enabled on my Verizon iPad 3.  When I disable LTE the time zone shows correct.  The incorrect time zone when LTE is enabled always shows Cupertino.

I keep my auto-update for time zone turned off.  You might try turning it off, changing to the appropriate time zone, and then turning it back on.  Maybe it's an Apple joke of everything being on Apple time.

  • Why is the Time Zone incorrect in iCal?

I live in Hawaii and when I trun on the Time Zone Support (in Mail, Contacts,Calendars) and select Honolulu, it puts the time 1 hour earlier than the current time. (iCal shows 6:30 when the actual appointment is for 7:30).  However, when I select Anchorage, Alaska, iCal is set to the correct time.   If I turn off the Time Zone Support it sets the time 1 hour earlier  - just like setting it to the Honolulu time.  Can someone explain why this is happening.  It start when I switched to Lion and iCloud.

Are you normally in Hawaii?  What is your "home" area?

  • Exchange Server meetings in Russian time zones as well as names of time zones are incorrect after October 26, 2014

After October 26, 2014, Exchange Server users who are in Russian time zones may see meeting times incorrect Time Zone-display names may be outdated in OWA.
RU8 should release in middle of November of this year.
The RU8 update only updates the “Time Zone Name” http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/3004235
Time zone display names in OWA will be outdated after October 26, 2014. Meeting times will be updated if you install the 2014 time zone update for Russia (KB 2998527)
for the Windows Server. Exchange Server 2010 and Exchange Server 2013 rely on Windows for time zone information.
The actual times will be correct in OWA as long as the Windows OS update is applied: http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2998527
    Note:
There are multiple components involved this issue.Windows PC O/S update, Windows Server O/S update and Exchange server application update. We need to ensure all the below things are up-to date in-order for this functionality to work properly.
Windows PC - It should have the latest patch updated. There is no patch that needs to be rolled out for windows PC for this functionality to work.Just ensure that end users are in the latest available patch.
Windows Server- Ensure that the Windows server is latest update (http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2998527)
Exchange Server patching-  There is also an Outlook Web Access (OWA) related component to this involving the availability of the latest Russian time zone changes into the OWA display.   Meetings will display correctly in the calendar,
it is more of a feature issue around time zone display names.  Exchange Server SP3 RU8 will address this, and it will be released in middle November.

  • How do I stop iCal from ever changing the time zones of my appointments?

I cannot figure out time zone support in iCal, and just want it never to move the time of an appointment when I change time zones. I have tried switching time zone support on and off, and it makes no difference, the appointment times change when the time zone changes. It's infuriating! How do I make it stop?
    Thanks!

    Whitecity,
According to iCal Help...Changing the time zone for an event: Choose iCal > Preferences, click Advanced, and select the "Turn on time zone support" checkbox...To change the event's time zone, choose a time zone from the pop-up menu in the Info drawer. To make the event appear at the same time no matter what time zone the main calendar view is in, choose Floating..;~)

  • How do I sync my icloud calendar between iPhone 5 and macbook pro without a 1 hour difference? I've made sure that the time zones are the same on all devices and it's still doing it.

I cannot get my iphone 5 and macbook pro to display the same time on my calendar. There is a one hour  difference between them and it is driving me crazy!! Please help!!!

Did you also confirm that the time zone was set correctly on icloud.com (click on your name, check Time Zone)?

  • When time zone support is on even when I am on Jerusalem, when i create an appointment the time zone for the appointment is immediately changed to Gaza and even when I change it manually it returns to Gaza.

I have a 4s iPhone on IOS 6.0.1 with an Israeli Cellular provider.
I use Gmail services an exchange to sync my colander contacts and mail.
When the time zone support is set to ON in the Settings->mail, Contacts, Calendars->Time Zone Support
The time zone is showing Jerusalem (I am located in Tel-Aviv)
When I create a new Appointment, It Immediately changes the time zone of the appointment to Gaza.
Even if I change it back to Jerusalem it changes back to Gaza every time.
Only when the time zone support is set to OFF in the Settings->mail, Contacts, Calendars->Time Zone Support
The time zone in Gmail is ok and does not appear on the iPhone. (This is ok)
Dose any one know how do I make the iPhone not change the time zone to Gaza? And still keep the time zone support on?

they are not always on the same time due to daytime saving time changes twice a year in Israel which are not syncronized with any changes in Gaza, Beirut, etc.

  • How can I change the time zone for a calendar entry with iOS 7?

I want to make a new entry in my calendar (iOS 7) using a different time zone as the one I'm located in. There isn't any option to choose the time zone like there is in OS X.
I know I can switch off the option to automatically change the time zone in the preference pane of Mail, Contacts and Calendar to get the option in calendar but I want to use this automatic switch.
Is there any option to change the time zone of a calendar entry without loosing this automatic switch?

    Got it!
In your backing file you'll need the following in your handlePostbackData method:
    BookBackingContext bookCtx = BookBackingContext.getBookBackingContext(arg0);
    bookCtx.setupPageChangeEvent("PageLabel");

  • Getting the time zone support right

When I take an international trip I can never seem to get this right, and calendar events go slip-sliding all over the place.
I have tried by time zone support on and off, but still previous events seem to get displayed wrong no matter what I do.
Currently I'm in Tokyo. Next Friday I'm going to St. Louis for a couple of months. I have a customer call on June 6th at 10 am central time. I just added it to my calendar by entering "Call with Coaches on June 6 at 10 am CDT" (see screenshot) and it created this event which correctly shows it taking place on June 7th Japan time. And I added a note about the actual time just in case.
So how should I have it set so when I am in St. Louis it shows up as June 6 at 10 am?
And what will happen with all my other events where I typically don't specify a time zone?
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hey Doug Lerner2,
Thanks for the question and superb details. I can understand how confusing Time Zone support can sometimes be. In my experience, everything is going to relate back to the main Time Zone Support drop down menu at the top left of the Calendar. This is the easiest way to quickly switch the Time Zone you are viewing.
Once you travel to St. Louis, simply switch the time zone of your calendar (if it had not automatically switched) to see all of your events in the local time zone (including events that don’t specify a time zone). So if you had your event set for June 6th at 10am CST, once you switch the Time Zone to central time you’ll see that that event is displayed correctly. All of your events that were created in Japan will move to their respective times, and you can also have “Floating” events that will ignore the time zone, and always be at that set time.

  • Change the time zone in Java System only

    Hi there,
Does anyone knows where to change the time zone in Java system only? I know in ABAP they have t-code: STZAC? where do I change in Java? Configtool or visual admin? what is the service name or parameter for this?
    Thanks
    Kumar

    hi Kumar,
You can change the timezone of the JVMs using the -Duser.timezone
parameter,  add -Duser.timezone=<timezone> to all dispatcher and
server processes in your systems, using the configtool
    1) open config tool
    2) select yes
    3) select "cluster-data->instanceXXX->serverXXX/Dispatcher"
    4) in "Java parameters" add new line "-Duser.timezone=<timezone>"
    5) click "Apply changes"
    6) restart your instance
Let me know how is the result

  • Time Zone reporting incorrectly, Samba logs report incorrect workgroup

Let me start by saying that I am reasonably adept at setting up networks, and knowing what various logs are referring to, but I suspect I am way out of my depth in figuring out what is going on here.
A day or so ago, my MBP (1st Gen, details below) started reporting its time zone as being Eastern US, location Brainerd, TN. I have always had the checkbox ticked for "Set time zone automatically using current location". This is very weird, as I have never been there, and AFAIK, haven't done anything with settings to make any changes. When I select the Time Zone tab in Date & Time > System Prefs, and try to change it, I get the message "Unable to determine current location at this time".
Networking wise, I use Wifi to a 1TB Time Capsule, ethernet to the same TC, and/or tethering to my iPhone. The IP addresses attached to each of these NICs seems OK; my two LAN connections are within the same 10.0.1.n class A network, and the tether connection falls in the 172.10.20.n class C network.
Looking at the various logs, I noticed that the logs for Samba show that my MBP is a local master browser for a workgroup that MAY still be configured on the lone MSWinXP computer in the LAN.
Long and the short of it, I am paranoid that my network has been hacked. Any enlightened comments would be appreciated. My network security-fu could obviously use some more practice, but I think I've got everything locked down pretty well.

The most widely distributed form of 21st Century literature, the wild echoing lament of people talking with their fingertips, converting chemical signals into mechanical impulses closing circuits that propel binary digits to be assembled into octal patterns that turn into unread characters, marshalled into small groups of words, parading within frames as sentences and corps of paragraphs, made to bash this square at the whims of the lonely field marshall, bereft of attention, purpose, or satisfaction.

  • Ical can't add events to Exchange only if I change the time zone

Hi, I recently update my MacBook from Snow Leopard to Lion (10.7.3) and I was using iCal with Exchange in my organization without any problem, but now I cannot add events, I get a message saying that iCal can't add the evento to Exchange, and it gives me 3 options Cancel, Restore or Redo.
I search in the forums for this message but none has come to a posible solutions, but I found a discution that someone enable the time zone support and specifies a diferent time zone in the event and "voila" it fixes the problem, the events now are added to Exchange; but obviously this turnaround is not good because the meetings you have to mention the difference in the time to get a meeting done.
Anyone knows how to report this situation to Apple Support?

Sorry I do not write to give solutions, only to mention I have the same problem. Additionally, I can share that for the same Exchange account server I can register new events from my iPhone and my iPad. In both instances, events are uploaded to the server and appear in my MacBook's iCal.

  • My laptop iCloud calendar did not adjust to daylight savings time.  Do I need to manually move all the appointments are is there somewher I can do this.  All I found was the time zone adjustmant and that didn't help

when daylight saving time started last Sunday, my iCloud appointments on my laptop moved up one hour to 9 a.m.  They're supposed to be at 10 a.m. which is what's showing on my iPhone.  Is there an adjustment for this somewhere?  I tried the time zone adjustment, nothing there was helpful.

Please please help me, if you know how.

  • Change the Time Zone???

    Hi,
I need to change the System Time Zone to all the users in the XI environment but I don't remember how is the process...
Someone can explain me how is it?
    Thanks!

    Hi Hetal,
Thanks for ur fast response but the problem is not the Time Zone in the server (UNIX), is in the application. I remember that I need to go to IMG --> General Settings --> Time Zones but I don't know if I need to do something more to assign the TZ to all the users in the system.
    Regards!
