The timer service encountered an exception checking for the upgrade mode registry key. Requested registry access is not allowed.

Once in a while i get the error
Event ID 6463
The timer service encountered an exception checking for the upgrade mode registry key. Requested registry access is not allowed.
This also happens when i restart the timer service.
I already cleared the SharePoint cache (xml's) but no success with that.
Environment is
SharePoint 2013 SP1 + CU Dec 2014

This is a brand new SP13 with SP1 installation after binaries installation i also installed Dec 2014 CU and then created the SP farm.
The Apppool/Timer account is member of WSS_ADMIN_WPG.
Issue can be reproduced with restarting SharePoint Timer Service.
Hereby the Process Monitor output. Hence i filtered it on NOT SUCCESS and Path contains the word UPGRADE

    Check, if you have the "Primary Only" option enabled. Then keywords will only be applied to the "Primary Image":
    See:                  Keywords or ratings are applied only to one of the selected images - why?
    Uncheck the little square button with the "1".

  • Exception: Cannot read target memory. PL AXI slave ports access is not allowed

    Hi There,
    I am having some issues debugging with the SDK tool for a Vivado project.  I have no issues using the plan ahead version of the project, but when I try to use the SDK on  a project exported by Vivado, I am unable to read memory and get the message above.
    Are there any settings I need to set to allow access to this memory.
    The AXI Lite slave is located ate 0x43c0000 in memory.

  • Is the Time Machine capable of logging websites for the admin to see?

    What I mean is, if I were to log in to someone's network when it's a time machine, will they be able to track what websites I been on easily or would they have to do a little bit of hacking to figure out? I prefer my privacy when I want to briefly use someone else's network when mine is down and I noticed my neighbor seems to have one.

    Not as long as the browser is on your computer. Time Machine is a backup utility, not a web activity monitor; it will back up Safari's history file if it's on a disk it's backing up, and other browsers work similarly.
    Note that they might find out what you've been visiting through their router.

  • How to check for the sub folder in the document library Is already Exist using CSOM?

    Hi,
    My requirement is to create the  folder and sub folder in SharePoint document library. If already exist leave it or create the new folder and the subfolder in the Document library using client side object model
    I able to check for the parent folder.
    But cant able to check the subfolder in the document library.
    How to check for  the sub folder in the document library?
    Here is the code for the folder
    IsFolder alredy Exist.
    private
    string IsFolderExist(string InputFolderName)
    string retStatus = false.ToString();
    try
    ClientContext context =
    new ClientContext(Convert.ToString(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DocumentLibraryLink"]));
                context.Credentials =
    CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;
    List list = context.Web.Lists.GetByTitle(Convert.ToString(ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DocumentLibraryName"]));
    FieldCollection fields = list.Fields;
    CamlQuery camlQueryForItem =
    new CamlQuery();
                camlQueryForItem.ViewXml =
    string.Format(@"<View  Scope='RecursiveAll'>

    </Query>
                                </View>",
    @"/sites/test/hcl/"
    + InputFolderName);
                Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ListItemCollection listItems = list.GetItems(camlQueryForItem);
                context.Load(listItems);
                context.ExecuteQuery();
    if (listItems.Count > 0)
                    retStatus =
    true.ToString();
    else
                    retStatus =
    false.ToString();
    catch (Exception ex)
                retStatus =
    "X02";
    return retStatus;
    thanks
    Sundhar

    Hi Sundhar,
    According to your description, you might want to check the existence of sub folder in a folder of a library using Client Object Model.
    Please take the code demo below for a try, it will check whether there is sub folder in a given folder:
    public static void createSubFolder(string siteUrl, string libName, string folderServerRelativeUrl)
    ClientContext clientContext = new ClientContext(siteUrl);
    List list = clientContext.Web.Lists.GetByTitle(libName);
    CamlQuery camlQuery = new CamlQuery();
    camlQuery.ViewXml =
    @"<View Scope='RecursiveAll'>
    <Query>
    <Where>
    <Eq>
    <FieldRef Name='FSObjType' />
    <Value Type='Integer'>1</Value>
    </Eq>
    </Where>
    </Query>
    </View>";
    //camlQuery.FolderServerRelativeUrl = "/Lib1/folder1";
    camlQuery.FolderServerRelativeUrl = folderServerRelativeUrl;
    ListItemCollection items = list.GetItems(camlQuery);
    clientContext.Load(items);
    clientContext.ExecuteQuery();
    Console.WriteLine(items.Count);
    if (0 == items.Count)
    //create sub folder here
    Best regards

  • Regular expression: check for the presence of special characters.

    I have the following requirement:
    I need to check for the presence of the following characters in a keyword: @, #, > if any of these characters are present, then they need to be stripped off, before going further. Please let me know the regular expression to check for these characters.

  • BO 4.0 Advanced Analysis for OLAP - The MDAS service encountered an error.

    Hi guru's,
    We are running BO 4.0 SP02 Patch 11 with SAP BW 7 and experiencing the following error with Advanced Analysis for OLAP:
    "Analysis edition for OLAP
    The MDAS service encountered an error."
    After you click show details:
    "com.crystaldecisions.thirdparty.org.omg.CORBA.MARSHAL  minor code: 0x0  completed: No"
    I have researched into this and found forums such as:
    http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2053481
    SAP KB 1560100 - BI4.0 Advanced Analysis Web problem: The MDAS Service encountered an error
    SAP KB 1661163 - An error is generated when selecting a query or cube in Analysis for OLAP: Error 15
    However, none of these have helped our situation too much.
    We have rebuilt the windows server 2008 R2 recently, hence the process we followed was a fresh install of BO 4.0 SP02 platform & tools, and then patch 11 on top of these.
    Crystal, WEBI's (using the same BICS connections as the AA's) and Dashboards are all working as per expected.
    The errors are for every AA including ones with only 2 variable selections (light queries) to ones with many more. Hence it is platform wide for Advanced Analysis.
    I have also tried creating new AA using existing BICS, new BICS existing AA, new BICS new AA all with no luck.
    We have also created new Adaptive Processing Servers with only the MDAS as a common service, turned on tracing etc but nothing springs to us as to what is going wrong.
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?
    Thanks all,

    Hi All,
    After conversing with SAP support technicians we have found what is causing this issue.
    On the windows servers we have the following installed locally:
    - BO platform 4.0 SP02
    - BO platform 4.0 SP02 patch 11
    - BO client tools 4.0 SP02
    - BO client tools 4.0 SP02 patch 11
    - Crystal reports 2011 SP02
    - Crystal reports 2011 SP02 patch 11
    - Crystal reports for Ent SP02
    - Crystal reports for Ent SP02 patch 11
    It seems that the crystal reports 2011 or cr for Ent was causing an issue in the .WAR files that BOE uses to run Advanced Analysis for OLAP.
    After uninstalling the two crystal products and removing any left over cr files in program files on the server, AA for OLAP works successfully in our environment.
    The other point after this was i stopped the tomcat and SIA, i renamed the BOE folder under <install dir>\SAP BO4.0\Tomcat6\webapps and restarted the tomcat and then the SIA. In 4.0 when the tomcat is started again it will go and recreate the BOE folder from the BO directories effectively recreating the apps .WAR files under the webapps\BOE folder.
    SAP will hopefully document this issue for other clients.
    Cheers,

  • The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception. InnerException: Requested registry access is not allowed.

    I have read some of the other posts for people that got this error, but none seem to apply to me.
    My program has been working for weeks.  I made some minor changes, and started getting the error (full details below).
    I did a TFS "undo pending changes" and still getting the same error, even after logging off.  The one odd thing is that I did change my Windows password this week. The connection string is using a SQL user id and password that has no issues.
    I'm an Admin own my own box (running WIn XP SP3).  I even tried "Run as Admin" on Visual Studio.
    I'm doing a Debug-Start, running a Console-Test-Program that calls a WCF service, which on local machine is hosted by "ASP.NET Development Server".
    We have two other developers, one has the same problem, one does not.  In theory, we have all done "get latest" and are running the same code.
    The SQL Connection is related to a trace database; we are using this library http://ukadcdiagnostics.codeplex.com which has worked fine for months.
    When I do "Start Run" in Visual Studio, I get this error:
    {"The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception. "}
    with InnerException: {"The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnectionFactory' threw an exception."}
    and it has InnerException: {"Requested registry access is not allowed. "}

    I think I found it... this is sure a strange error for what is really happening.
    Apparently it had happened to me before, and fortuantely, I actually added the following comment:
                // Above is related to the WCFLOG SQL Diagnostics Trace
                // If you get error here an inner exception "requested registry access is not allowed"
                // inside exception "type initializer for System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection"
                // then make sure you have impersonation enabled in your client.
                // See AdminConsole web.config or FRB.EC.AdminService.ConsoleTester.app.config for examples
    Now I think I will do a try catch and spit out the same text.
    Still testing to assure that this really was the issue.
          <endpointBehaviors>
            <behavior name="FRB.AllowImpersonate ">
              <clientCredentials>
                <windows allowedImpersonationLevel="Impersonation"/>
              </clientCredentials>
            </behavior>
          </endpointBehaviors>
    The line below in BOLD below is what somehow seemed to disappear from my app.config - probably due to a TFS human error - still checking that also:
            <client>
                  <endpoint address="http://localhost:4998/AdminService.svc"
                                  behaviorConfiguration="FRB.AllowImpersonate"
                                  binding="wsHttpBinding"
                                  bindingConfiguration="WSHttpBinding_IAdminService"
                                 contract="svcRef.IAdminService"
                            name="WSHttpBinding_IAdminService">
                        <identity>
                              <dns value="localhost" />
                        </identity>
                  </endpoint>
            </client>
    Here's how I "idiot-proofed" this error for now, to give an error that actually at least points to a solution:
            public SqlDataAccessCommand(string connectionString, string commandText, CommandType commandType)
                try
                    _connection = new SqlConnection(connectionString);
                    // See AdminConsole web.config or FRB.EC.AdminService.ConsoleTester.app.config for examples
                catch (Exception ex)
                    if (ex.ToString().Contains("The type initializer for"))
                    throw new System.ApplicationException(@"
                    Your client app <endpoint> must be cofigured have a
                  'behaviorConfiguration' attribute like this:
                    behaviorConfiguration='FRB.AllowImpersonate'
                   that points back to a behavior that has this syntax:
              <behavior name='FRB.AllowImpersonate'>
                 <clientCredentials>
                     <windows allowedImpersonationLevel='Impersonation'/>
                 </clientCredentials>
              </behavior>
              ", ex);
                   else
                        throw ex;
                _command = _connection.CreateCommand();
                _command.CommandText = commandText;
                _command.CommandType = commandType;
                // TODO _command.CommandTimeout = ;

    Hello guys,My first time in community.my problem is that my SIM card was working ok and from today at the left of the screen up shows that is searching for the sim.I contacted the carrier and the SIM card shows that is working.Any suggestions?

    Hey NicolasZen,
    Thanks for the question and welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you are experiencing issues with “No Service” or “Searching” on your iPhone. The following resource provides some great troubleshooting steps that you may wish to try:
    iPhone: Troubleshooting No Service
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4429
    Your iPhone may have one of these symptoms:
    - iPhone displays "No Service" or "Searching" in an area of good coverage
    - iPhone doesn't regain service when returning to an area of coverage
    Resolution
    If you encounter either of the above symptoms on your iPhone, follow these steps to attempt to resolve the issue. Test after each step.
    1. Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
    2. Turn iPhone off and then on again.
    3. Remove the SIM card and verify that it's a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it isn't damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
    4. Check for a carrier-settings update. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Then tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, iOS will ask you if you want to install it. If Wi-Fi isn't available, connect your device to iTunes.
    5. Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
    6. Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
    7. Restore the iPhone.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • The MDAS service encountered an error.

    Hi Experts,
    I have a BEx Query. On this I have created an Analysis Work Space in BO. I have one system for both (Dev & QA) in BO.
    The Analysis Work Space query is executing without error in BO Dev, but it is throwing below error for QA query:
    The MDAS service encountered an error.
    Failed to execute getRepresentation() because the query state [USER_NOT_AUTHORIZED] is invalid. : com.businessobjects.multidimensional.services.MdasRuntimeException: Failed to execute getRepresentation() because the query state [USER_NOT_AUTHORIZED] is invalid.
    I have gone through so many SDN topics related to this. But couldn't get much info on this.
    Note: The query doesn't have any calculation.
    Please suggest.
    Best Regards,

  • Is it possible to keep an email account on the iPhone but stop if from checking for new mail?

    I have an email account that has been deleted from the provider (Gmail), but I want to keep the old mails on my phone, while stopping it from checking for new mail.  Is this possible?
    If I disable the account to stop if from checking for new mail (and producing a bunch of annoying pop-ups every time the mail app is opened), the account becomes invisible and the old mails disappear.  I want to keep them visible to I can read and refer to them, but want to stop the phone from trying to download new ones or check the account.
    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks for the thought.  In this case, that doesn't really help much, as it requires a bunch of button pushing just to check emails.  Plus, if I'm not mistaken, in addition to switching modes every time I check email, it also prevents the other accounts from downloading the most recent mails as well.  Since it's possible to keep an account on a Mac computer, but take it offline, it's very disappointing if there isn't a way to do the equivalent on an iPhone so that it passively holds the mails but doesn't send constant pop-ups every time the app is accessed.

    (The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.)

    For anyone that comes across this. I managed to fix the problem. It had something to do with the date on my computer. Mavericks installer apparently does a date check of some sort and that is where the error is coming from. Open terminal and check the system date. It may be wrong. Another poster in the forums told me how to to check the date and change it. Click here for the link to the explanation. Be careful because the date is in a weird format.
