The top left corner of my iPhone 5s popped out
I Noticed today that when I set my phone down I could see the light from my iPhone 5s from the side of it. I picked it up to look and the screen is popping out. I have yet to drop it and I just received it a couple months ago. I'm stuck with it for 2 years so I really need help on how to fix it. Do I just take it to the Apple Store or is there anything I can do? And why did it do this?

It sounds like you noticed a portion of the screen isn't flush like the other parts are and as a consequence some light is escaping from it. There is not much that can be done for it, so I would recommend you use the following link to seek service for it:

Hey Scott! Like I said, I thought I had done some damage -- even though the drop was just a couple of inches that was my very first thought, but when it came and went with which app I was in (or not) I knew it wasn't a damaged SCREEN. So I wondered if it was a different damaged part, memory or some such.
When I saw that others had the exact same shape, I could only imagine that perhaps the phone was indicating it was running a diagnostic, had been forcefully dropped, had a faulty/damaged accelerometer or some other purposeful object. It clearly wasn't random, it was a definite shape.
Hey Paul! I'm hoping they've seen the issue and tried replacing a few parts or something... Ya never know. As a (mostly) retired guy I have the time!
I also mentioned in a kind of oblique way that I had enabled the Kanji keyboard. I should also mention that I have the field strength test enabled so that I am able to see the -db numbers instead of the antenna bars. That's right in the same area, so it could be related.... maybe... or not. The screen was unlocked when this happened and I'm guessing I pushed a whole lotta buttons and/or icons as I was grabbing at it... I wonder if it is possibly an easter egg of some sort -- just the right combo of touches. Then again, it bounced right on THAT corner... LOL
That's the only stuff I've ever done to the phone. It's never been jailbroken or anything like that. It has taken a few falls in its lifetime but none resulting in any obvious damage.
It's a 32GB iPhone 3Gs and it is now 2 years old (bought June 27, 2009.) I'm just happy that it seems to be OK. While Apple's stock may be the largest market cap in the US, my portfolio sure isn't. -
Has anyone else noticed light leaking out from the top left corner of your iPhone 4s?
I took notice of this issue a while back. I haven't gone into apple yet but I will be going in today to see what can be done. I read other threads but they felt with older model I phones and I have te iPhone 4s so I am not sure if it would be the same case. Does anyone have te same issue?
Actually, it is not irrelevant. If other people are expeienceing the same issue, then they may have found a solution. Since I dont live anywhere near an Apple store, driving all the way to one and getting turned away would have been a wast of time for me and a wast of gas. By posting this question I was hoping to see if other people had found solutions such as going into Apple and possible gotting a new phone or something along those lines. So as you can see, other people experienceing the same issue could potentially create an avenue for someone elses solutuion. Afterall that is one of the reasons people use discussion boards and forums such as this one, to find soplutions for their problems via others experiences and such. Anyways thank you for your resonse.

On my iPhone when I go on phone to view my contacts on the top left corner there is a circle with a arrow ( like a refresh icon ), just want to know what is it?
That's exactly what it does, refresh your contacts. As an example if you add a contact on your Mac or iPad and you use iCloud to sync them altogether, then this can be used to refresh the contacts on your iPhone.

my iphone 5 won't let me call anyone and it says invalid sim in the top left corner where it should say sprint. i do have wi-fi and i can send texts to people. does anybody knnow how to fix it?

Yesterday morning, my phone decided to kick me of my network and not let me back in. In the top left corner, it just says 'Searching...'. I have tried restarting my phone, resetting all settings and resetting network settings and nothing has decided to work for me. I then went to reset my phone but it will not let me log out of 'Find my Phone'. Therefore it did not allow me to reset my phone.
Please can somebody help.

I have placed my SIM card into my iphone 5c and have confirmed co with my cellular network provider.However despite numerous reboots I am still getting "No Service" in the top left corner. Please advise

I have changed my account to SIM only and when I put my new SIM Card into my iPhone 4 it just says 'no service' in the top left corner, also iMessage has stopped working too. I can only use my phone on my WiFi at the moment, does anyone have any idea?
I already have, I contacted Orange yesterday and they said I will receive a text to confirm the registrastion for my new SIM Card, they said the text would arrive between 2 and 24 hours and its been over 24 hours with no text recieved

My iPhone 5 have the glass popping sound when I press on the top left corner of my phone but I don't know why, I don't see any visibility of the glass coming out. My friends all told me to not exchange because after all the software is perfectly fine.
My phone just turned 2 months old. But in Singapore as long your phone is under one year warranty I can still go for an exchange at the respective telco, but my friends all suggest me to not change now cause after changing it'll be a refurbished set instead of a brand new one.

Just about to get a iphone 5 from virgin mobile, the "virgin" in the top left corner is throwing me off, if i unlock it will it go away?

That will go away if you use your iPhone with another carrier's network, but in that case, you will see the name of that carrier at the top left corner. That means that the Virgin text at the top left corner has nothing to do with having the device locked, but it shows because you are using a Virgin SIM card -

1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.

I am logged into facebook on my iphone...I am on a friends status and I am not being able to back out of his status because the "notification" header that should be in the top left corner to back me out of his status is not there. Anyone ever experience this before? I have tried soft reset, shaking the phone and syncing again with my computer.
