The top two inches of my firefox screen seem non responsive i.e. unable to click on links or grab the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen if it is within the top two inches below the tool bar

It seems that for whatever reason, I am unable to click on any links, pictures, or anything really within the top two inches of my internet browser screen, it seems like a "dead zone'' of sorts.
the tool bar is fine, and from about two inches down on the screen everything is responsive.

The Yahoo! Toolbar extension has been reported to cause this issue.

If part of the screen is not touch sensitive, and you have tried power off/on and reset, the best option is a visit to an Apple genius bar to have the techs check and see what is wrong with the screen and touch circuitry.

The search bar in the top right hand side of my screen works fine, but the main search bar in the middle of the home screen doesn't at all; do you know how I can fix this?

I can access bookmarked pages, pages that are on a saved RSS feed, and can search the web using the top right-hand bar on my screen. However, the main bar, in the center of the home page (not sure of the correct name) will not do anything - whether I press search, or hit enter on my keyboard. There also appears to be another bar underneath that, which I can press, but it remains useless.
My Dad is running Firefox 4 on his computer, and has showed me what it is meant to look like. I can therefore conclude that there is definitely something up with mine.
I am currently using Firefox 4 with my laptop, which runs Windows 7.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 4, but the problem still remains. I am not keen to use Internet Explorer, purely because I have bookmarked so many pages on the previous version of Firefox but also because I get on very well with the whole layout etc.

Now that I was sent by Microsoft to your download update site to get the latest version 4.0.1, Firefox crashes (becomes non-responsive) before opening any site page I try. When will you fix this problem?

For two weeks I have tried to use your automatic download of the latest version 4.0.1. It would sit there telling me it is trying to connect to the download computer for hours, several times overnight. Then, it became non-responsive and error messages were sent to Microsoft who directed me to your download site. After downloading your latest version several times, the new page would open. After selecting a bookmarked site, it would open (sometimes only partially) but when I tried to scroll down, it would freeze up and become non-responsive, again prompting error messages to Microsoft. They must be getting a kick out of this. I'm running a Gateway 7200S desktop with Microsoft XP and Intel single range Pentium 4 processor. I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

I have checked you site on the phone and it seems that Zak is correct.
Please go to the phone layout and make sure there is no element out side the browser area at the right side.
You can simply do Select All to find if anything is outside the browser area. If you find anything you either need to delete it or you need to bring it in the browser area.
If still an issue please share he muse file with us and we will investigate it further.

TS3274 Email display problem: My email only display the list of emails and a preview (first two lines of the body of the mail). If one click on the message it only shows the heading on the right hand side of the screen, but not the content.

My email only display the list of mails in my in box with a preview of the first two lines of the body of the message. When one clicks on the message to open it, only the header is displayed in the right hand side of the screen - the actual message is missing. This happens on older mail previously downloaded that use to work properly as well. Any idea how to fix this?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Desktop appearance problem: For no apparent reason my Mac running OSX 10.4.11 imposed a mesh-like pattern over the folders on my desktop and also across the top of the screen and down the right-hand side where I have the dock. How do I remove it?

For no apparent reason my Mac (2 GHz PowerPC G5) running 10.4.11 has put a mesh-like pattern over the folders on my desktop and also a band of the same pattern across the top of the screen and down the right-hand side over the dock. (See screen grabs below.)
It doesn't affect any operations but makes folder names and drop-down menus difficult to read through the pattern.
I'm not aware of changing any settings so suspect I must have clicked on something without noticing. How do I get rid of the overlaid pattern, please?

If You press cmd+tab keys (cmd = the one with a cringle) (tab = left side keyboard third row big arrow pointing to the right)
By keeping cmd-key down and stepping with tab-key You can see if the iMovie symbol show up. then release.

I have a requirement in SMARTFORM where the required output will be a single form design, approximately A3 in size, split by invoice details on the left side and delivery details on the right side.
As the Invoice details and the deilvery details will have multiple line items
I am planning to create two MAIN window one for the Invoice on the Left hand side and the other for the delivery on the Right hand side of the form.,
Will this work or is there any other solution to do the same .

No, it's not possible to have 2 main windows. It will let you activate the form but will run into dump.
If invoice details on left and delivery details on right are one on one then you can create one table with separate columns for each having all the details in one internal table. If not there could be other work arounds depending on your requirement.
