somehow we have disabled the touch screen in my IPad 2 and I don't know how to enable it again. Any ideas
Try this and see if it works.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

The headphone jack on my iPad2 does not work
The headphone jack on my iPad2 does not work. I have tried plugging and unplugging the headset, resetting the device, and buying new headphones. None of these have worked. Any suggestions?
If you are too lazy to deal with the problem and just want to never use the headphone jack, buy one of these in line remotes instead

Recently, the bottom edge of the touch screen on my iPhone stopped responding to touch. I have gone through all of your hints and tips in the service information pages to see if there was a DIY solution. The little 'dots' which indicate water damage are white. I checked those in case someone else had caused water damage to my phone, as I do not live alone. The home button works fine, the non-functioning area of the screen prevents me from using all functions for which the screen will not revolve to the side when the phone is tipped. Texting is a nightmare, as I have to keep turning the phone to access certain alphnumeric icons on the keyboard. Is this a common problem with the iPhone 4? Is is expensive to repair?
Before you claim the hardware failed, try basic troubleshooting as described in the User's Guide of reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).
If none of these resolve the issue, Apple offers and Out of Warranty replacement for $149US. -
Touch screen on steam 11 x360 not working after windows 10 clean install
I did a clean install of windows 10 on my HP stream 11 x360, and now the touch screen won't work. Under system it says "no pen or touch input", and there is no touch screen driver listed under HID in the divice manager. It worked when windows 8.1 was installed, and it still works in the BIOS. None of the following has worked thusfar: rebootingseveral windows updatesseveral updates using HP support assistantlooking through HP's windows 8.1 drivers list (it doesn't seem to list a touch screen driver at all)looking through HP's windows 10 driver list which was recently added. Incidentally, I was about to flash the BIOS when I noticed that hte version on the website is f2, and mine is f4. I'm not sure what that means. I didn't end up flashing, though. I remember seeing what I thought was a touch screen driver when looking under programs and features in windows 8.1 before the upgrade. I think it was called magic something or other... Microsoft's website indicates that windows should have touch support baked in, so I'm not sure why this is an issue.
try installing the windows 8.1 driver for your touch screen maybe?i had to install the win 8.1 wi-fi driver because the win 10 default was awful, and it worked (and still works) perfectly.

The touch screen on my iphone4 suddenly stopped working
I was trying to figure out how to 'enable web' so I could get a photo transfer app to work thru wiFi at a hotel, and I think I did something to disable the touch screen. Its stuck on the opening window and I can't slide to unlock it. also can't shut it down and reboot because I can't slide to power off.
update: I never figured out HOW I made it stop working, but a forced shutdown brought it back.

Yes! Stop using the charger! My husband noticed it was worse when plugged in. One apple guy told me "restore" ... I did all that and it did not help. After I stopped using the charger, it stopped messing up. I used my husband's charger and all is well.
Later, an apple employee told me to bring in the charger for a trade in, because they had a recall on some of them.
I haven't traded it yet, but I plan on it.

Try this calibration procedure:
Open a stock iOS app (e.g., Clock). Once the app is open, press your iPad’s power button until the ‘slide to power off’ screen appears. From that screen, press and hold your Home button until iOS force quits the stock app you have open. You’re done! -
Hello, I've got a question about my Iphone 3gs. Well one day i woke up and i tried to slide to unlock my phone but the touch was unresponsive. So, i turned off my phone and back on, the unlock screen came back one and same problem happened. The only time the touch works is when I slide to turn off my phone. When people call me, i can't answer. When people text me, I can't answer. I do have the latest update for the phone. I've looked everywhere on the internet and have got no answers. I have dropped my phone a couple of times and it does have some cracks on the screen. Please help!

My touch screen on my iPhone 4S not working after upgrading to ios 7?
I upgraded to iOS 7 and all the sudden when I go to type in my code to unlock my phone it is really laggy, when I finally get into my phone and go to use the keyboard to type a message it acts like I haven't even touched the screen when I go to type.
Unfortunately with all of the problems and such an unstable OS today is my last day using my iPhone. I love my phone and have had it on my company business account for the last 4 years but it has become so prohibitive to use as a business tool I am forced to move to the company’s Galaxy based phone. I hope at some point in the future things will improve and I can once again have my iPhone back on the company plan. Good luck all I will be rooting for you.

Is it possible to turn of the touch screen on my T410s?
I have a T410s and i think that the processing speed of my computer is slowed by having the touch screen on constantly even when not in use. Is there a way to turn it off when im not using it? Even if the processing speed isn't lowered I still would like to turn of the touch screen sometimes.

The touch screen is not working when I am in the Music app of my iPod Touch. How do I get it to begin working? It just stopped today.
