The u, j, m and 7 keys on the keyboard are not functioning properly on my macbook air. In its place are a random assortment of keys (Ex - u = "eqrw" or "IOUY"). This randomly happened when logging back in after sleep mode. No liquid damage at all. Please help!

OK, I fixed the problem by doing a SMC (System Management Controller) reset as follows:
1. Powered off my MacBook and removed everything connected except for the power chord.
2. When powered off, I held "Shift" + "ctrl" + "Option" + "Power button" for 5 seconds or so until the little light on the front started to blink rapidly.
3. Powered up my Mac, which took a little longer than usual to start and tested the "missing" keys which now works perfectly again.
Just added another couple of years usage with my aging mac :-)

All new keyboards need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and above for full functionality.
Rather short-sighted of Apple perhaps, but that seems to be a trend these days.
I'm afraid the only fix is to upgrade to SL. Personaly, I'd take it back and get a refund and seek an older keyboard or a third-party one elsewhere.

Accidental damage is not covered under Apple warranty. And it seems there is much accidental damage. Only a Genius Bar tech looking at it can tell how much it will cost to repair.
Cost to repair will be high, I suspect (though Genius Bar will confirm/deny.
There is no gentle way to say this sir/ma'am ... someone will need to pay for your friend's MBA repairs.

You might try a "hard reset" where you remove battery and AC charger, hold down power button 20-30 seconds and then reassemble and turn on. Reset BIOS (F10) to default settings, too.

Recently I installed iTunes on my computer so that I could put music on my new iPad and it was fine, the next day when I went to put some more on it it asked me to download the newest version of iTunes and I did but since then I have been having trouble getting access to iTunes. I assume this means I need a new battery? This was the message I got when I did the battery check.
The battery will not charge. Laptop just runs on AC power and battery is in but will not charge. What happens that causes cells in battery to not work? I did leave it off a few months. Would take make the battery go bad?

Hi guys i have a Lenovo G580 im not sure which version but i can tell you its intel i.3 and its got usb3.0 on it and 500gb hdd. 2.20Ghz 4.00RAM.
been days that i try to solve my Fn Key problem and also the arrow left and arrow up keys < i was using Win8 and downgraded to Win7 last week and that problem has occured since ,it misbehaves and it only works for a short amount of time it randomly works those keys FN.arrow up/left keys randomly they work , i upgraded again to Win8.1 now for the first few boots evrything worked well fn key and arrow keys np.< and now again it stops working.. and btw. whenever i press hard against it it would work pressing down the fn and arrow left/up keys when i press really hard it works but then again it doesnt Soo end of the story its not functioning properly and i have Energy management and Display driver HD 3000 installed and i still got this problem .. is there any fix to this anyone please !?

Hey mate the keys are faulty nothing can fix it except for buying a new Replacement! , i fixed the problem simply by Replacing the KEYBOARD ! i went downtown and looked for a g580 keyboard and they didnt exactly have the same version g580 they had c or b580 i dont remmber what letter it was sorry ! but the thing is the whole keyboard layout of many Lenovo Laptops are the same just look one thats the same, cause mine wasnt for G580 but the thing is its still working perfectly ! only problem is the Screws didnt fit i had to cut out the sides of the screw hole thingies to make the keyboard fit in well in my G580 , Simply put all you need is a new keyboard replacement buy one they cost between 20-40$ worth it cause you wont have any faulty keys anymore evrything will work fine. no need to reinstall anything just replace it with new Keyboard. and Plus its easy to replace it by yourself. i replaced mine by myself easily. Problem fixed.

After updating to Windows 8.1 from windows 8 games like pes 2014 and others are not functioning properly

Recently my system got update from MS now its running on Windows 8.1. After updating my games are not working properly
the games were running at very low FPS even key event and mouse event are lately taken. Even i updated drivers still its not working.
In windows 8 all games were running very smoothly. Only after updating i am seeing this issue.VRA
PC configurations :
1) OS : Windows 8.1
2) RAM : 4gb
3) Processor : core i3
4) VRAM : 2gb
5)VCARD : AMD radeom
Please help i am missing my games

My volume control keys on my keyboard are not working.

All of the keys on my keyboard are working except for the f10, f11, and f12 keys (those which control the volume). I have tried to fix this problem in system preferences but can't seem to find a place to fix the problem. I have a macbook pro.

try a pram reset
Resetting PRAM
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

The instruction should read "Settings > General > Usage > Music > All Music > Swipe right to left > Delete".

The TOP-OF-LIST and END-OF-LIST events are not triggered in spool

I am displaying a block list ALV where when using "REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_APPEND", I have populated the events with TOP-OF-LIST and END-OF-LIST. The ALV is displaying perfectly with the top-of-list and end-of-list.
I have created a button in the toolbar using the USER COMMAND which when clicked will generate a PDF file with my output result. In the subroutine for USER COMMAND , I have put the print parameters using "GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS". Then I have again called "REUSE_ALV_BLOCK_LIST_DISPLAY" with is_print parameter in order to generate the spool no. Then I am using "CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF" to convert the spool to pdf.
The problem that I am facing is that the spool is generated without the TOP-OF-LIST and END-OF-LIST. I cannot see the lines written in TOP-OF-LIST and END-OF-LIST in the spool.
Also the font-size is reduced very much in the pdf.
Please suggest me some solution if possible.
