My wife and I have identical Lumia 520 phones on Windows 8.1 - out of the blue Cortana installed itself onto her phone - well, she probably installed it without realizing it because I often tell her to say OK to any updates that pop up. We are both at Cyan
and I have 4.8gb of free space on my phone with all my photos and most apps on a 16gb SD card. Now, I have tried repeatedly to download an update and repeatedly is has stopped with the error message above. Tech support said it resolve itself if
I reset the phone and did a restart which I did and it still fails for the same error.
Has anyone encountered this issue and actually solved it yet? I have seen lots of suggestions and no real answers in the general forums. I was even told that the 520 was not able to run Cortana (which I know it does). Would it matter which
provider you are with that would affect this update. My wife is O2 and I am EE
I don't see why I should upgrade my phone when I know I don't need to

In the app store, click purchases at the top , and download there.
If it's not visible, click "store" on the top bar and "view my account." You can unhide it there.
If you had a problem downloading, before you do either of the above, you may want to trash the contents of /var/folders/ (found by "go to folder" in finders "go" menu, top bar).

Try these steps as needed:
Reset phone: press both the home and power buttons, releasing when the Apple logo appears

I'm now getting the message "The update will be loaded the next time Firefox starts". Is there any way to STOP the updating at this point, if there are going to be problems with ver. 32.0 under XP (which I am obviously still using)?
I am using Firefox 32.0 on Windows XP and have experienced no issues.
You cannot stop the update now that it have been installed. However, you can downgrade Firefox back to 31.0 once it restarts by downloading 31.0 from [https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ here]. -

When my I tunes Match has been downloaded but when i open I Tunes I do not see it in the left hand column. I have to go to I tunes store about and click on it.
When the match process is not running iTunes match will not be present in the side bar, this is normal behavior.
If you go to store in the iTunes menu bar you should see "Turn off iTunes match" and "update iTunes match".
When the match process runs, after you have restarted iTunes, or manually selected update iTunes match it will re-appear in your sidebar. -
I had the geek squad from bestbuy supposedly install iphoto 11 on my mac but it is not there and when i try to download it it say the app has been download by another user on this machine. What do i need to do get get this app on my system? If they could not do it right the first time I do not have much faith in their advice.
Assuming you've done a system wide search for it including the Applications folder and it's not there......
I think you will need to address this with them - did you pay them for the application? Or was your purchase price to include it? And the question(s) to ask them:
If the app store states that it has been downloaded, ask them where it is and which Apple ID they used. (the store keeps track of Apple IDs and machine IDs on everything you download).
I have absolutely no faith in their advice; however, in this case, it's not so much technical advice, but an answer to your questions: you paid for something and it appears not to be there. -

What exactly? Your questions don't make much sense since you failed to provide an explanation what problem you actually have, what program you actually mean and so on. That aside, edu versions are technically not different from the normal programs, just their licensing is different.

Have you checked to see if the music is in iTunes on the computer? if so dose the music play on the computer? in itunes, if you click on the iphone from the list on the left, and then click on the music tab on the right, is sync music checked? if so are you syncing all music, or a specific play list(s) of music? if it's syncing only specific play lists, is there any music in that play list?
