The update "Keynote Updater" cannot be installed

The digital signature for this package is incorrect. The package may have been tampered with or corrupted since being signed by “Apple”.
I am getting this message from software update. Is there a way round it?
Thanks
Andy

I found out about the updates on Version Tracker although Pages is open pretty much all the time. Even after closing and re-opening Pages does not report an update. I opened Keynote and it does, asking me to go to Software Update. I had already ran this countless times and thought that maybe the link from Keynote would spark it into life, but no, apparently my system is up to date, despite Keynote knowing that it is not.
Yes I am on Pages 2.0 and Keynote 3.0 and no I have not set iWork updates to be ignored.
Maybe its been pulled from Software Update because of signature problem.

Installs fine for me, so I'd guess you got an incomplete or corrupt download. See the Further Information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for direct links and download a fresh copy of the installer.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".

    Correct.
System requirements for XCode is 10.8.4 and above. Since you have 10.7.5 it can't be installed.

  • Why am I getting the message, OS X cannot be installed on . . .?

There are no other details.  Just the simple message "OS X cannot be installed on . . ."
The only instructions are to reformat my hard drive.  That will leave my computer incapacitated for at least an entire working day as it reinstalls everything.  And what else will screw up in that process?  I'm already in this situation because OS X is disabling features on my lower level OS.  I don't know what new problems will be introduced in this OS "Upgrade" but I certainly don't need to lose a days work GUESSING that I need to reformat my main hard drive.  Are there any other instructions, anything else I REALLY need to do to get past this blockage?

I found one solution to this problem on hp forum but my laptop has boot legacy and does not disable the efi boot order.

I am having the same problem. Windows is trying to install. It identifies the various partitions but says that I cannot install Windows on the Boot Camp partition or any other. I select Drive options (advanced) and Format the Boot Camp drive, but it makes no difference.
    This is the Windows error:
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer BIOS menu.
I am not sure what Csound1 is suggesting with that post above. There are some involved suggestions over here <https://discussions.apple.com/message/23548999#23548999> about using Disk Utility to delete the Boot Camp partition and create new ones - is that the idea?

  • Keynote update now MBA Bricked?

    Hi All
Awoke this morning to a couple of updates being notified on my 2011 MBA. Its the new Keynote update and I think Safari.
The update started but has now been stuck at Software Update, Installing2 items, running package scripts..... since 0800 this morning, its now 1230.
Is there anything I can do to recover? else I have a brick (albeit a very nice looking brick!)
    thanks

ok sorted. Had to hold down the power key for 3 econds (didnt know this much, doh) then load up the software updates one at a time to see which was causing an issue. Neither were. So I am now all up to date and its looking good. Phew.
I had called applecare to get the above and despite being outwith the90 days the very helpful chap talked me through the above. I was offered applecare for 3 years (with education discount) at £139. but declined for now as it is so close to christmas.
Thank you apple I am delighted with your response today.

  • "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, windows can only be installed to GPT disks." Error

Hey Im getting the following error when trying to install windows from a USB.
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, windows can only be installed to GPT disks."
I installed the windows 8 (64bit) iso using boot camp to a usb.  I was able to do this after changing the info.plist to allow me to place the iso on the usb.  After I make the partition and start the install, I get the above error.  I formatted the partition in the installation but I keep getting this error.  I've repreated the entire process but i keep getting this errror and the disk utility says my partition is a Windows NT File System (NTFS) so im not sure what's going on.  If you can help me that would be greatly appreciated

  • Error 1334: File pptxflt.flt cannot be installed

When I tried to update Acrobat Pro XI this AM, I received the message "Error 1334. The file 'pptxflt.flt' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'PCW_CAB-ACR11004'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from teh CD-ROM, or a problem with this package." I have cleared all temporary files and rebooted, and tried reinstalling the update. Still nothing. Is this a problem with the update or with my system (Win 7, 64bit)?

I tried both patch and via Help -> check for updates with exactly the same result.
    Version 11.0.3 of Acrobat Pro.
Never had problems with regular updates before this one.

  • My install disk is saying mac osx10.6 cannot be installed on this computer

I am trying to reinstall my osx and the computer is saying cannot be installed this computer

Actually I bought the disk off eBay, but it is definitely genuine and since it was for the 13" MacBook Pro (which I have) I thought (having read the caveats about disks being hardware specific) it ought to be useable.
It's definitely a genuine set as it came with the full "Apple" packaging, booklet, wallet and even the two white Apple-logo stickers that they stick in there for some bizarre reason. Yes, I did notice (having received the disks) that there's a statement on them regarding them not being for resale, but the seller didn't happen to mention that on his auction (yeah - go figure!).
At the time of purchase I thought they were specifically for my hardware. Seeing the "2010" mark on the disks was a bit of a 'raised-eyebrow' moment, but I just find it hard to believe that the discs are being so 'touchy' given that they are for the correct model MBP, just separated by one year.
In fact, as I touched-on in my original post, some contributors to this discussion forum went as far as to say that you could even install cross-platform with the discs for more-recent hardware. I know that not everybody gets these things right when discussing stuff, but I'm just surprised that there's such a wide range of opinions regarding this.
If there are no further ideas, I'll have to put it down to experience and go buy the retail version. If anyone has any further advice or experiences of this issue, positive or negative, I'd still be glad to hear from them though.
Thanks all for the input so far.
