The upper toolbar is no longer present !

Hi, like millions of people I also use Adobe Reader; impossible to work without it!.
I have always been fully satisfied with it but from a couple of days I have an annoying problem.
The first thing I noted is that the usual PDF icon in a folder was changed (Images 1 and 2). Then, when I opened a PDF the upper toolbar was no longer present (Images 3 and 4) and when I tried to do something it happened what you can see in Image 5. Moreover I have observed that you can no more change the size of the window by dragging its right side and that to close the folder you have to use the PDF icon of toolbar at the bottom of the desktop.
I hope very much you can suggest something to fix the problem even though I fear that it may be a virus that (despite Kaspersky) has infected my computer !!
Looking forward to hearing from you I thank you as of now
Alvise

Hi alvise625r,
Are you still facing this issue?
Pressing F9 key should bring back the menu bar. Also, if you have Kaspersky installed on your machine you might need to uninstall or downgrade as there is known conflict because of kaspersky:: Kaspersky Lab Forum > Bug: KIS version 15.0.0.463 patch B Acrobat Reader XI

  • When I edit my emails, the delete option is no longer present. No option is there at all?

I used to be able to delete emails by hitting edit, checking the circle and then htting the delete button would remove those emails. Now when I hit edit there are no options on the screen to delete, move archive or anything. What am I missing?
I just powered off and then ran it again and the delete option reappeared.

  • After upgrading to V6, The View menu no longer shows the shopathome toolbar

The shopathome toolbar is no longer on the View menu so I can't display it.
This problem started after I upgraded to Firefox V6 under Windows XP.

    Thanks for the great feedback.
While the toolbar offers many benefits the compliment our site (coupon and savings alerts and reminders are my favorite part!), we realize that the toolbar is not for everyone. If you decide to uninstall the toolbar, be sure to use the Uninstaller found in Add/Remove Programs from your Control Panel. • With the newest version of Firefox, I can no longer use the Google toolbar! Also, some of my Webroot protection had to be inactivated. When will these features be able to be used with Firefox again?

With the new version of Firefox, the Google toolbar and something with my Webroot protection had to be inactivated to install. I use many of the features on the Google toolbar daily, and miss not being able to use it. When I try to reinstall, the message is that it is incompatible with Firefox 5.0. And I am not sure which features of my Webroot protection had to be deactivated for Firefox to install and run, but I want to retain my firewall and virus protection. And I MUCH prefer to use Firefox! So - I know you are always developing and improving. When will these become compatible again with Firefox.

The Google Toolbar is from Google and support for it can only come from Google, and Google has eliminated it from Firefox, and it never was in Google. Even Google has indicated that the features are available in Firefox through other extensions. But the features are really available in Firefox even without extensions from what I've seen because Firefox has very powerful bookmarks and knowing how to use them with JavaScript, substitution, and keyword shortcuts is a key to using Firefox.

  • Firefox 30.0 does not display the Xfinity Toolbar any longer

I just updated to 30.0 - well, should I say, Firefox automatically updated. Usually no problem. But now the Xfinity Toolbar (Comcast) no longer shows up above my tabs. I tried to disable the add-on and reinstall, restart, lather, rinse, repeat: but nothing shows. There is a 'band' above my tabs where the toolbar should be - and the toolbar is listed as an option in the pull down View/Toolbars - but nothing shows up. Can this bug be fixed... fast??

    Okay. two possibilities.
    * 1) The toolbar is not compatible with v30.
==Go to the add-on web page and check. Look for support site.
    * 2) The toolbar is blocked by another add-on.
    ==Try disabling all other add-ons. Restart. If the toolbar works '''. . . .'''

I need google toolbar but 5.0 won't let me have it. Please quit reminding me to upgrad to it until it is compatible.

You can turn off update checking Tools > Options > Advanced > Update
but Firefox 4.0 is no longer supported, so you should update to 5.0

  • Is there another browser like firefox or do I have to use IE again to get the google toolbar?

firefox 5 has let me down badly.

If websites complain about 128 bit encryption not available then that can be caused by the "U;" that is no longer present in the user agent of Firefox 4+ versions.
    * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_agent#Encryption_strength_notations
Firefox supports 256 bit encryption ciphers since Firefox 2 was released in 2002.

  • On versions 4, what happeded to the Stop Loading "X" command that used be on the upper-left toolbar?

I just downloaded Ver. 4.0. After doing so, I've noticed that the Stop Loading command, the X that used to reside in the upper left of the toolbar, is now gone. I've searched, but cannot find a process for replacing it. This used to be a valuable tool for me as I"m on dial-up. I use it to stop my current page from loading so I can jump to another site thus allowing it to load faster.

Firefox 4 no longer shows a Reload and Stop button on the Navigation Toolbar, but has a button on the right end of location that shows the different states. During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Stop button. If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.
You can middle-click that button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.
If you want the previous appearance back then you can use these steps:
    * Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move the Stop and Reload button out of the location bar.
    * Move the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the location bar.
    * Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
    * Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

  • How do I get rid of yahoo toolbar and get back my orange firefox button in the upper left corner of screen so I can use my stuff again?

Yahoo toolbar suddenly imposed itself as my log on screen whenever I booted up my computer and clicked on Firefox. Now I can't get to my bookmarks even though it told me that if I activated the new bookmark system it would transfer my old ones. It didn't happen. The toolbar has no bar for typing in a www.http address. I cannot use it and don't want it. I am using Explorer just so I can access my bookmark address, but don't like Explorer. I want my old Firefox screen back that has the little orange button in the upper left corner of the screen. How can I get there? My computer use has been highly curtailed by this unrequested invasion!

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
