The URL that was set for my homepage redirects to a network authorization page even though I cannot connect to that network.

I am no longer within range of a network that I was ''attempting'' to connect to as ''guest'' and now the guest registration page for the network overrides the url that was set for my home page in Firefox. (I never actually established a connection to the internet on that network because the guest username and password repeatedly failed.) The redirect executes whenever I type the URL, www.yahoo.com, into the address bar or when I follow a link from a search engine to that URL, or when I click the home button. How can I stop the
redirect? I deleted all network locations that contained that network and cookies that contained the network name but that did not stop the page redirection. I do not believe this to be a virus or malicious network because it was at an research institute. I looked in prefs.js for any keywords from that network but I did not find anything obvious.

You downloaded a profile from somewhere. If it's not one you want or need, delete it.

The VTY sessions are set for SSH, is telnet still open?

I'm in the process of enabling SSH on all of my routers, switches and firewalls. After upgrading the IOS to one that supports SSH, generating the crypto key and then setting all of the VTY sessions to SSH only, my security team informs me that telnet is still vulnerable to IP spoofing. They can demonstrate that when they launch a telnet session to one of my routers, the telnet session will pause for maybe 2 seconds before receivign the message that the session was terminated by the router. They claim this indicates that the router is responding to the telnet session and before the actual disconnect is forced they could IP spoof the box and cause a DOS.
I say boulderdash but without any proof I am forced to create a bunch of ACL's to specifically deny telnet. Here is an example of my VTY's:
line vty 0 4
access-class 23 in
exec-timeout 30 0
password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxx
logging synchronous
transport preferred ssh
transport input ssh
transport output ssh
*The access list here is limiting access from a certain internal set of IP's.
Any thoughts?

Thank you for your time on this. I believe I have found and corrected my issue. In my first post I showed what the vty 0 4 sessions were set as. What I failed to show was that the "vty 5 15" sessions were only set to "no exec". So what was happening is that when I would telnet to the router, the session attempt would either walk down the list of VTY sessions looking for an open port or the router just bypassed the ones that were set for SSH and tried the first VTY port that was set for no exec. This would allow for the telnet session to attempt to open but because the router was not allowing access to the command line interpreter, the router would reject the session attempt.
To correct this I simply set up all of my VTY sessions the same way, transport SSH in & transport SSH out. The next attempt closed the telnet session immediately. I still maintain there is no need for additional access-lists as I'm trying to keep my processor's free from any additional load to allow them to process the payload traffic as efficiently as possible.
If anyone has any best practices they would care to leave here, I would be interested.

May have something to do with whether or not the URL can be reached while building your widget. I've got a video on the web. When I enter the URL into the field for the video object and click to another field, the URL is replaced with some text indicating that it is accessing the video then updates itself to displaying just the name of the video file.
It shows just fine in preview and I can see the full path to the video when I export the widget so it should work for you.
Is the video accessible from your Mac while you're laying out your widget?

If you've had posts removed then I assume that they broke the forum's terms of use in some way (and you should have received an email explaining why).
If you've had refunds then did you not receive any email from Apple listing what they were for, or can you not tell based on what you asked for refunds for and the amount(s) that you received ? If not then probably only Apple can give you that information.

Not so sure of that "just plain logic." Allowing sleep too often will cause wear on the drive -- excessive spin up and spin down. Temperature permitting, a drive will last longer if just left running.
For other hardware, a lot will have to do with the internal temps. When it's quite hot here, I allow the computer to sleep more often. But otherwise, it's a bit of this and a bit of that. I wouldn't personally recommend running 24/7, although I know of several here who claim they do, with no apparent adverse effects over many years.

The auto layout used mostly 1 photo, full pages. Obviosuly I can manually re-layout the pages as multi-photo pages and reduce the number of pages.
However, that seems like a lot of pgs. for so few photos since a blank Photo Essay book layout appears to use 73 photos?
I'm not sure I know why iPhoto did not the default layout to fill those photo frames. I expected the 82 photos to use approximately 23-24 pages max.
Is this a full 62 full pgs or 31sheets?
If it is a true 62 pages, what is the cost?

What does the book look like in iPhoto in the All Pages window? Are there photos on all pages? Books are printed on both sides of the page so that would be 31 pages.
This book has 48 pages or 24 sheets.

The URL appear with the IP address, but it's a internal address, We need that appear the address with the name http://mp-web.alma.cl/m149/
When they invite to a meeting from the outlook, the URL is correct, but when try invite from the Meeting Place appear the Issue.
