On the left, you should have a list of keychains and categories. If not, Select Show Keychains from the View menu.
Select the login keychain and All Items in the Category.
In the search field, type something that will help find your account keychains, like "gmail."
Select the keychain for your email account password and delete it.

my phone has stopped connecting to my gmail account.When I click on the mail button it opens and the a message appears that says the user name and password for "imap.gmail.com" is incorrect. My information is correct under settings I have even deleted account and tried to re-set up my gmail account. Still nothing. It had been set up for months and working with no issues.
ATtempt to power off your device and power it back on, if that doesn't work reset all settings should resolve it for you

Mac Mail won't sync with 2nd Gmail account
I'm using Mac Mail (ver 6.6) on OSX 10.8.5 on my Macbook Pro.
I have my Mac Mail set up to fetch mail from multiple email accounts through IMAP. One of these is my old trusted personal gmail account, and it has been working fine for 2 years. However, yesterday, I added a new email account called "d-ourovino", which is for a business. The "dourovino" account is hosted at gmail as well. It is now working and syncing fine. But since I've added "dourovino", my old personal gmail account has stopped syncing, even though I didn't change any of its settings. What is going on? I'm at a total loss. Any suggestions?
See screenshot below...This unlocking of the CAPTCHA also got my gmail to work. I think, just by noticing how gmail works, that if you make too many sign in requests within a certain amount of time---they load the CAPTCHA process to make sure you're a real person and not a computer. Since I was signing off and on repeatedly trying to figure out why it wouldn't take what I KNEW to be the password---turning off the CAPTCHA function just let gmail take your user name and password and log in. YEAH FOR THE HELP!!

Mail won t send emails with gmail account.
Mail app was working perfectly and suddenly it stopped working
All i have configured is my gmail account with IMAP, it receives the mails perfectly but i cant get any mail to leave my outbox. I simply get the timeout error with the try again or edit settings message.
I rechecked and recreated the outgoing mail server with the settings from google, and it still happens.
I tried rebuilding the outbox as i read on these forums that it might help, but it didnt.
What else can I do?

You could try moving the preference file to the trash.
The file is called com.apple.mail.plist
and can be found in the following folder: username -> library -> preferences -

Not receiving the verification e-mail from Apple
I wonder if anyone can help me. For some reason, I never receive the verification e-mail for my Apple ID, I receive other e-mails from Apple OK but not the verification one, which means that I cannot set up Facetime on my iPad.
Any suggestions how to get past this please ?

Check your email account's SPAM folder - I use YahooMail and theirs is VERY effective, but sometimes thinks legitimate emails qualify - SOME Apple emails are often affected

Whenever I try to type in my information to my Mail app it will not verify my gmail account- it says my username/password is incorrect when it isn't.
Please help!it may be a two part security verification. contact the email provider and see if you need a special password.

I have found the option to have the e-mail veification to be sent out, clicked for the request some 10 times and so far I haven't gotten the e-mail to verify it! No access to i Cloud.
Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account. Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox. If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.
