The "verisign" logo for secured sites is missing from the status/addon bar. How can I get it back?
Whenever I used to sign it to ebay, the "verisign" logo would show red/unsecured. A refresh of the page would reload with a secure setting.
I can no longer see the logo anywhere but refresh out of habit anyway hoping it is then secure on the next load.
If the logo showed for any other sites/pages I wouldn't know.
Is there a way to get it back so I feel safer?
Firefox has a built-in security indicator, but it has changed. The status bar was redesigned out of Firefox, so now you use the area to the left of the address (green, blue, or plain) to check whether the site is secure.

If you were using an add-on from Verisign, its icon might be on the Add-ons toolbar. You can turn that on using:
View menu > Toolbars > Add-ons Toolbar
If you have the orange Firefox button, tap the Alt key to temporarily display the classic menu bar.
Does that fix it?

Tap the cloud symbol with the down arrow next to the songs you want to download. You can also download an entire playlist by opening it, scrolling to the bottom and tapping Download All. You can download an entire album by tapping the album, then tapping the download symbol at the top of the song list. You can download an entire artist by doing the same thing after tapping the artist name.
To save on your data plan, do this while your connected to wifi (and your charger to save battery). -

You could try emailing iTunes support, giving them your order number, etc. or you could just take the hit and pay the 99p. I know what I would do.

The list of open web pages, which normally sits bottom right on my screen, flipped to the left. How can I move it back to the right?

I accidentally deleted the built-in Maps app from my iPhone 4s. How can I get it back?
I'm not sure how I managed to delete it, since I thought built-in apps couldn't be deleted. It's also missing now on iTunes so I'm at a loss as to how to get it back. Tried shutting down and restarting but that didn't work.
You can not delete built-in Apps. You must have accidentally moved it into another folder.
Try the following...
Try searching for it using Spotlight.
Try a reset. Press and hold the Sleep and Home buttons for about ten seconds, ignore the red slider, until the Apple logo appears then release. This is the equivalent of a re-boot. You will not lose any data.
Try resetting the Home Screen Layout
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout -

Once they're deleted, you can't get them back. You're supposed to save them before this happens. To do this, save them to your camera roll (by tapping Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll), then import them to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
If the missing photo stream photos were in your camera roll when you last backed up, then would be included in the backup. Restoring the backup should recover them. -
I had a virus on my Windows Vista PC so I had to reinstall the whole system. With this I also got an upgrade to Windows 7. Now I want to use the iPod classic to put the music back on the PC. According to the explanations on Apple support you have to drag the iTunes file on the iPod to the My Music file. Unfortunately there is no iTunes file on the iPod. It does work fine though and I can listen to all the music. I have to say that before I deleted the hard drive fro the PC I forgot to switch the iPod to manual sync. It was psooible though to do that with the new installed iTunes without erasing the music on the iPod. Can anybody help? I really wouldn't like to loose the countings and playlists.

6 months of iphoto pics now missing. Where are they and how can I get them back?
Yesterday I was downloading some photos from my camera. When I finished I looked at my events and every photo and event from the last months were gone. The most recent download was preceded by pictures from last August and everything else was gone!
I have been reading this discussion and I have tried a rebuild of the library = no success.
I downloaded iPhoto Library Manager and I am in the midst of creating a rebuilt library, but something tells me that it is just rebuilding the library with missing photos again.
Mac OSX version 10.6.8 and iPhoto 9.2.1yes, I found an iPhoto Library folder on the second drive that has a date of August 22 2011, which seems to be right, everything since is gone.
So when I downloaded on Saturday i downloaded new pics into this old folder.
Where is the other, the including recent 6 months iPhoto Library folder?
I did not trash anything. -

Known bug. Quit the Camera App, double-tap the home key and delete Camera from the recent apps bar. Fire it up again, should be good.

hiu i have an ipod which shares same itunes/icloud account as my iphone. i deleted the contacts off ipod and they have now gone off my phone too. anyone help, how can iget these back on my phone?
When you share an iCloud account between devices, any action you take on one device (such as deleting contacts) is synced to the others. (That's want iCloud does; syncs data across devices, keeping the data on the devices the same.)
The only way to recover them now is to try restoring your device to your last backup, or restore them from another backup source. -
i synced my iphone to the computer to upgrade it to the 5.0 version, but all of my contacts got deleted and so did my calander. Help!

On the home page in Facebook, on the bottom of the left hand corner there is supposed to be a friends on chat window that shows green dots and pictures of my friends that are on chat. Mine is no longer there and i was hoping that you can help me in finding it and putting it back.

Patricia SutcliffeHi Patricia, the theory behind clearing cookies is that they may include obsolete or corrupted information. There's no way to know which one poses the problem, so it's usually best to clear them all. Facebook will set new cookies when you log back into the site.
Regarding the chat windows, I don't why the two accounts would work differently. Perhaps it is a setting within Facebook? -

You can't delete Safari from your phone. Check Settings>General>Restrictions and make sure Safari is turned On. If it is, look through all your screens and inside all your folders. (If you are running iOS 6 you can swipe your screen to the right to bring up spotlight search and search for Safari; if it is inside a folder, the folder name will appear to the right.)
If you still can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore the home screen to its original configuration but may move other apps around to do so. -
In the newest version of Thunderbird my inbox doesn't show anymore the arrow that indicated I have replied to an email, which is quite annoying. The arrow to indicate I have forwarded a message is still there but the other one is gone. I like to have it back.
You did run ''Thunderbird'' in its safe mode (as opposed to Windows or even Firefox)?
I too would suspect a theme. And Thunderbird's Safe Mode disables all such add-ons. -
