The video files from Colin Smith's Adobe Speedgrade tutorial are solid green but other video files work.
Howdy,
I downloaded the project files for Colin Smith's Speedgrade tutorial but all the video files show as solid green and have a frame rate of 0.01 to 0.00 from within premiere Pro CC14 but they play fine on VLC player. I tried to download and unzipped the files multiple times with the same result. Other MP4 content works fine on the Premiere Pro timeline.

Im having a problem with the dvd quality, I'm using compressor to convert the video fils from apple prores to mpeg2 .It doesn't matter how long my video is even if its just 5 minutes I'm getting cut edges/lines in the video specialy if i have titles it comes up really bad , I took the same video to a friend of mine who have PC and he uses Encore , did the encoding there and it was just fine no problems! BTW I tried using doferent setings in compressor from CBR and VBR I even pushed up the setings to 8 or 9 BR and still no luck !

For now, I'll assume you're shooting 1080i.
Take a representaive clip into a new sequence. Add a title.
In your sequence, make sure field dominance is set to Upper.
Set render settings to Pro Res 422.
After rendering, export QT self contained.
Import into Compressor (I'm now referring to v3.5).
Select the 90 minute Best quality DVD preset.
Open frame controls and turn on (click the gear icon). Set Resize filter to Best.
Submit burn and check quality on TV.

You can use a program like Carbon Copy Cloner. It will clone your HD to the external. The format is the same as your internal drive and you can boot from it using Option key at boot time.

You can use some third party software to copy the music from your old iPod back to computer first, and then import the music into iTunes and re-sync them to yournew iPod. Here is a guide about how to transfer iPod music to computer. Hope it helps. Feel free to email me if you need further help.

I tried to migrate my files from my old G4 book to my new Macbook Air. It did not work properly and I want to restore the Air to its original settings. How do I do this?
You will need to use an external DVD drive to run the disc installer that came you your machine. You can also do it with another Mac using the Remote Install Max OS X app. Finely, if you have access to another computer, you could burn the install image on a USB thumb drive, boot from that, erase the drive and run the installer.

As of yesterday no animation or videos will play from Firefox, but other browsers still work fine. I have checked plugins and even updated to the Firefox 14 beta today, but this did not fix the problem.
this problem started yesterday; before then there was no problem.
I have updated everything I can find, and ran a system restore and disc clean.
The problem still persists. What am I missing here?This happened to me too. This problem started suddenly with no changes made on my part. I had 11.2 Flash version with Firefox 13. I tried updating to the new Firefox, same problem, then updated to Flash 11.3. I even uninstalled RealPlayer.
I read a solution on another forum and it was as easy as clearing my cache. Everything works fine now (even after reinstalling RealPlayer and allowing the download button function). -
I have been regularly receiving video tutorials from Addicted 2 Salsa and synching these to my iPod but recently I have been unable to do so. I overcame this problem in the past by making an ipod version or loading them on to iMovie and then sharing them but this method no longer works. THere is no problem viewing them on my computer and everything else synchs okay to the iPod so what is going on and how can I overcome this problem?
Double check to make sure podcasts are configured to sync to your device from under the iPod's Podcast configuration tab.
To access the Podcasts tab for your iPod, plug your iPod in and click on it from under theDevices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the Summary tab. Along the top you should see a Podcasts tab, so go ahead and click on it. Here you can configure how and what podcasts sync to your iPod.
If you do make any changes to do this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to apply the update changes to your device.
Otherwise, are you getting any error messages when you sync your iPod Classic with iTunes?

Video transfer from computer to new ipad (ret disp) shows transfering process, but it's not in video or movie . ...Where'd it go ? sync automatically downloaded some - but was a bit prejudiced and selective with content mainly all edited by me in Moviemaker (windows 7, probably the reason)
I use technology since neanderthals roamed the planet . ....don't quite understand all the nuances . .. .So, my all things "i" (apple/mac) guru has arranged a meeting, and I'm impatient. I know some of my videos are in several formats, etc... and I don't quite understand the differences . ...to me, it's complicated, as Alec Baldwin would say.
Unfortunately, I'm "late" to the game metaphoricaly ( windows vs apple/mac ). I have a couple ipods and actually endorse the ijet remote device (Co. from San Diego). I have pro tools and other hi tech gear in the pro keyboards/sequencing arena where I've been writing computer music since 80's and it's evolution.The Apple video app is very limited in what it will play. If you have multiple video formats and if they will play on an iPad, then you likely need a 3rd party vidoe app. One such is BUZZPlayer which is available in the iTunes App Store on a Mac or PC or from the App Store app on an iOS device.
You transfer the videos to 3rd party video apps using iOS File Sharing.

iTunes will only import music from your phone that was purchased from the iTunes store. To transfer music from other sources you have to use 3rd party software, such as PhoneView.

I have totally "uninstalled" what I had and then reinstalled the newest
version of itunes. Still......
First, when I click on the itunes icon to load it takes the program anywhere
from two to three minutes to load. None of my other programs take this
long.
When in the itunes program I can be moving around in my library and itunes
when choosing a song or songs, choosing file, edit, etc,. whatever command I
choose it just suddenly stops. I can issue five commands and watch each one
respond in 30 second to two minute intervals. I can issue several commands,
even shutting down, and it will do all but takes several minutes to do so.
My itunes program was working fine when this problem suddenly arose.
TerryClick here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

SLM01Do you mean Entourage? It appears you have Office 2004 or older. Those are PowerPC apps only and will not run in Lion or later. If you need access to those emails like, "RIGHT NOW!", then I would suggest purchasing Office 2011 for Mac. Outlook is the new Office email client in 2011 and can import your older Entourage data.

There is a YouTube built-in app for watching those videos. If you can't find the app (it can't be deleted), then check that it's not hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions > YouTube.
For videos on other sites then you might find that some of them (probably more so if they are news sites) have their own apps in the App Store which might let you get some of the content that you want (and there is the built-in YouTube app). Also there are browsers such as Skyfire which 'work' on some sites - but judging by the reviews not all sites. If you want to play flash games then you are probably out of luck if you want to play on-line though the iSwifter app might work on some of them, but again some flash games have app versions in the store. -

It looks,like the videos on the web page are flash, which will not play on the pad. That is why the made an app. Go to the store and get the free google news app. It is laid out a little different, but any videos in it will play.

help! imovie media browser only has one option, "Mobile". other videos had option for medium and small. mobile option wont import into iDVD. other videos gave me the Medium option, why not this one? need answers ASAP!
That is your answer then.
Large is 960x540
Medium is 640x480 (or 720x480)
Mobile is probably 480x272.
It is offering you the sizes that make sense given the size of your source material.
As a trick, you might try this. In your project, put a short 640x480 clip in the project as the first clip of the project. Then keep the rest of the project as is. See if it will let you share now in Medium. It will not look as good, because there are not enough pixels to cover the Medium size, but it might work. -
