The video is automatically zoomed in (cropped)

during the video calls if the other person is using and android phone in lanscape mode the received video will be extremely zoomed in and showing only just a part of what should appear and in the full screen mode if I moved the mouse cursor to the very right or left edges it will start to show some other hidden part of the video !!! zoomed in is a good feature but not to be automatically zoomed in I believe that it is a bug not a feature when it is done without the permission of the user .. who wants to see a small part of the receved video ?!!!

This happens for me too. The result: I can just about see someone's full face when they're exactly in the center. Previously, I could make a pinch gesture with my fingers in order to zoom out the picture. But this has stopped working since a few weeks ago. I've tried rebooting the device and that didn't resolve anything, so I'm thinking that something changed in the software that made it break.

  • Automatically zoom and crop an image to fit in a square

    I've got an mx:Image which is loading an image from the web.  I don't know how big the image will be in advance.  I'd like the loaded image to fit within the mx:Image's square frame by zooming and cropping off the sides or top/bottom as needed.  In other words, if the image frame is 64x64 and the loaded image is 70x64, it will be centered and lose a few pixels on the right and left sides.  Is it possible to do automatically?  I've played with maintainAspectRatio and scaleContent but I haven't been able to get what I want.

    In an ideal world we would use a high resolution version with a 100% width set for every device (and screen size). Because of bandwidth reasons, the page should load only a version of the image intended for a specific width range.
    Sometime in the future we will (probably) be able to use this:
    <picture width="500" height="500">
       <source media="(min-width: 45em)" src="large.jpg">
       <source media="(min-width: 18em)" src="med.jpg">
       <source src="small.jpg">
       <img src="small.jpg" alt="">
       <p>Accessible text</p>
    </picture>
    However, this will not yet work. Therefore, ideally, a polyfill picturefill method that works quite well can alternatively be used:
    https://github.com/scottjehl/picturefill
    Solution:
    Call the picturefill.js (see above url for more information and sample code)
    body:
    <span data-picture data-alt="A giant stone face at The Bayon temple in Angkor Thom, Cambodia">
            <span data-src="small.jpg"></span>
            <span data-src="medium.jpg"     data-media="(min-width: 400px)"></span>
            <span data-src="large.jpg"      data-media="(min-width: 800px)"></span>
            <span data-src="extralarge.jpg" data-media="(min-width: 1000px)"></span>
            <!-- Fallback content for non-JS browsers. Same img src as the initial, unqualified source element. -->
            <noscript>
                <img src="external/imgs/small.jpg" alt="A giant stone face at The Bayon temple in Angkor Thom, Cambodia">
            </noscript>
        </span>
    This works in all browsers and devices. On a mobile platform only the lower resolution image will be loaded up.

  • One of the Video monitors is zoomed in

    Hey Guys,
    I am using CS3 for Mac. For some reason all the video in the right monitor (pardon my lack of terminology) is zoomed in. I checked the scale on each of these clips and they are all 100%. If I double click them to play in the left monitor it plays at the correct size. It must be something simple, but I don't see any kind of filter on the whole video track or anything. Any ideas what that could be?
    Thanks,

    Hi Jim,
    Thanks. It is kind of strange though, because I captured the footage directly from the same DV cam I always do (with the same settings). I am mixing the actual dumped video with some still images I imported and they are various sizes. Could this cause it? I am doing the images on a 2nd video track. Any ideas on how to fix?
    Thanks,.

  • Canon Rebel 3ti EOS 600D and the video stops automatically

    The Video automatically stops recording after a few seconds. I have a PNY Performance 16 GB 3.5hr HD VIdeo it also says 4 with a circle around it and I don't know if that means Class 4 or not ? I just got this camera a week ago. Can you please help ?.
    Denise

    Good luck!  Incidentally, Canon does not specifically recommend a brand... but the SanDisk and Lexar brands seem to be the best (and even within these they have a variety of performance specs.)  e.g. "SanDisk Extreme" or "SanDisk Extreme Pro", etc.
    I do see enough posts from people who have cards which are supposed to be fast enough... but sitll give them problems.  But the problems tend to go away when they buy a high quality brand.  For this reason, I tend to not mess around with budget cards -- sometimes saving a few bucks just isn't worth the grief.
    Glad you are liking your new camera!

  • Why is the video camera really zoomed in???

    Hi.
    Has anyone else noticed that when you use the Iphone4 camera in video mode, it is zoomed in compared to the still camera? It makes it really difficult to shoot anything close up and is just really annoying. Why should it be different, surely it use the same lens for both.
    Thanks

    The camera is 5MP. The camera records at 720P which is 1280×720= 0.9216MP. The easiest way for them to record this without using a lot of processing power is to use only the pixels in the middle of the camera which means it will be zoomed in.

  • Is there a setting to allow the video to automatically switch to the active speaker?

    I know that the speakers video box can be highlighted but I would like for it to switch and go full screen on the active speaker.

    That function is not a part of Connect. The highlight is the tool that has been implemented to call attention to the speaker.

  • Why does the browser view automatically zoom in to the first text box it sees on a web page?

    I have an iPhone 5c w/ iOS 8.  When I open a web page that has a text/chat box (form field?), the keyboard opens and the view zooms to it?  It does not matter what browser I use. This did not happen with iOS 7.
    Thanks,
    PCnetMD

    Hey there pcnetmd,
    It sounds like you're opening websites on browsers on your phone, and the screen keeps zooming in and bringing up the keyboard. I would start by troubleshooting the software on the device:
    iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
    iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    If it persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes with this article:
    iOS: How to back up and restore your content
    And restore it from your backup with this article:
    Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

  • How to make the video close automatically?

    Is it possible? Or we need to add a Close button, and let it execute the following JavaScript?
    javascript:window.close()
    It seems that the code does not work in PDF (the format that the project is published in).

    Did you set the Preferences, Project, Start and End, to Close project instead of the default Stop Project?

  • HT2844 When I plug my LED cinema display into my macbook Pro, the video switches automatically but the audio still plays via the macbook speakers by default. Is there any way to make the audio default to the display audio when plugged in?

    Hi,
    Pretty much as the tital says really. I'm fed up of having to manually select my audio output every time I plug my macbook pro into me LED display. Can I make it default the audio to the display when plugged in?

    yeah- I think so, AlexGrady.  see if your machine supports hdmi audio out, it should say under "about this mac"
    then  buy the correct adapter to your LED display.  I think you also have to enable audio out via HDMI, and the adapter has to support HDMI audio passthrough
    sorry, that's all I have for now

    oh, and this forum is for Mac Pro's (just sayin')

  • IMovie - When exporting a video it zooms the video in. How can I fix this?

    Ok this is on my iPad not iMac.
    So basically when I try to export my movie to camera roll, it exports fine but when I click to watch it on camera roll the movie has automatically zoomed in, but when I go back to iMovie it is zoomed out like normal. How can I stop/fix this?

    Howdy Lumagofe,
    I was thinking that you may need to reset the iPod Nano, outlined here How to reset iPod http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1320.
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and Volume Down button simultaneously for at least eight seconds or until the Apple logo appears. You may need to repeat this step.
    If the above step did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep. Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to power.
    If that doesn't quite get the iPod going again, then it will need to be restored. Use this article to help with that Restoring iPod to factory settings http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1339.
    All the very best,

  • How to automatically let the video getting scaled when the browser changes size

    Hi,
    I'm using a f4v file with dimension 1200x720 and I might upload a 1920x1080 version.
    You can see it at work on www.etmotionpictures.com
    I want to the movie to automatically (down)scale in the browser.
    So when I resize the browserwindow and refresh the page, I thought the movie would be resized to the new dimension of the browser-window but it didn't do it.
    Maybe I misunderstood what scalemode=letterbox is doing.
    By the way I used to generate the code and then paste it in a html file.
    Here is the code:
    I just realized it might have something to do with the fact that the width and height are added in the parameter and at the beginning when the object is declared. Do I need to change that in order for the video to automatically scale.
    Thanks for any help.
    I really appreciate it!!!

    Hi,
    Thanks for helping me on the right track.
    I used swffit to accomplish what I wanted.
    Here is the link: http://swffit.millermedeiros.com
    Here is the code I used for anyone who want to do the same thing:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
              <script type="text/javascript" src="swffit.js"></script>
              <script type="text/javascript">
                   /* swfobject.embedSWF("example.swf", "my_flash", "550", "400", "8.0.0"); */
                   var flashvars = {};
                   var params = {};
                   params.bgcolor = "#000000";
                   params.menu = "false";
                   params.quality = "high";
                   params.scale = "no_scale";
                   params.bgcolor = "#FFFFFF";
                   params.allowFullScreen = "true";
                   params.AllowScriptAccess = "always";

  • Adobe Premiere Pro CC Timeline automatically zooms in when moving clips around

    This is an issue that keeps happening. It has been an ongoing problem with Premiere Pro CC and now 2014.1. It would start after working for a while on a project and become more frequent as the project gets larger. The only way to rectify the problem is restarting the computer. I would be working and I go to drag a clip around on the timeline and the timeline will automatically zoom in and thus place the clip in the wrong location. This happens when I am not holding down any keys. It will continue to zoom in every time I move any clips on the timeline and once it starts it happens on all sequences. While restarting the computer seems to help I have to do that 5 or more times in a day which can be very frustrating. It doesn't seem to be related to any OS, computer, hard drive/storage. Deleting preview files, flushing PRAM, trashing preferences doesn't help either. I usually work with Quicktime files AppleProRes Codec or H.264. Any help or insight into this issue would be greatly appreciated.
    Here is a video that demonstrates the bug:
    Premiere Pro Version: Every version from 7.0.0 to 8.1
    OS Version: Every version of Mavricks and Yosemite including version 10.10.1
    The footage I most use is H.264 and ProRes 422
    The problem occurs randomly throughout the day, nothing seems to trigger it. When it starts the only way to make it stop is to restart the computer

  • Is there a way to prevent the video chat from resi...

    When doing a video chat with one person, said person can see my video feed fine which is 16:9. He see's the full screen and all the text on both sides of the screen. Problem is when others join in the video chat, skype resizes or crops my feed to them and they can no longer see the whole screen and they can read the text on the sides anymore. Is there something I can do or they can do so that skype doesn't resize the video?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    In the case of group video calls, the video format will always be 4:3. The wide screen 16:9 format is not yet supported.

  • Videos stopping automatically.

    Hi guys,
    When I'm playing some video in my ipod nano 3rd generation something strange happens and the video stops automatically.
    For example, I was watching a "Two and a Half Men" TV show and in 2 minutes and 25 seconds it stopped. I played again after the 2m27s and continue normally until 5 minutes and stopped again. It happened five times in entire video.
    I already tried others videos and it happens in all of them, in different period of times.
    Any suggestions?
    Cheers,
    John

    Updated: Nobody had this problem before?
    Thanks again,
