The video out is NOT WORKING under 10.5.2

*APPLE please read this;*
The video out on the MacBook Pro is NOT WORKING under 10.5.2, or precisely is working with a possibility of 10%! Monitors doesn't find signal in, or when they find it, the image is unstable with green shadows.
_I tried 28 external monitor in a store and only ONE was working normally!_ I tried with all the cables combinations (DVI->DVI or DVI->ANALOG, with several different brand cables).
Before the 10.5 update, I didn't have any problem with external Monitor.
The point is that I have installed in the same computer (MAC BOOK PRO) also WINDOWS VISTA, and all the monitors that are not working with MAC OS are working perfectly under VISTA system.
I made a long research online and I found out that thousands of users have the same problem, but no one receive an answer from APPLE from several months!
This is not the only problem that I have under MAC OS 10.5, but them, are other topics.
_Please at least resolve this MAJOR problem that I and thousands of other users have with video out._

Video out under 10.5.2 works fine for me and for a colleague of mine with a more recent MacBook Pro. I'd wager it's a problem with your Leopard install, not a universal one.
Also, FYI, Apple doesn't read these forums; they're just for user-to-user help. If you want to leave MacBook Pro feedback for Apple, do so here:

But again, I do not believe yours is a universal issue. We'll be happy to help troubleshoot though. What do you mean the image is "unstable"? Could you take a digital photograph of the external monitor's screen and upload it somewhere?

DVI video out suddenly not working.

That's basically it. I have a 23-inch Cinema HD Display at home and at the the office. Suddenly the video out is not working with either of them. The displays control panel lists the external display, so the system is detecting the connected display.
There is nothing wrong with the displays. I connected an old PowerBook and they light up fine. With my MBP, the power light lights, but nothing is displayed on the Screen.

OK so I went to the Apple Store and they said my cable was a third party cable. We tried an apple cable and it worked! So Apple changed the pin out configuration on the OS 5.1 upgrade so only Apple cables will work! So I had to shell out another $40.00 to get that cable!

Satellite 1800-100: video-out does not work

I just installed windows XP on my old Satellite 1800-100, but now my video-out does not work anymore. So I just downloaded the latest driver, but there's no way I can get it installed. According to Windows the new driver isn't newer, so it won't let me update it. And when i try to unistall the display driver, I have to reboot before it takes effect, and wile rebooting it automaticly installs the standard driver again.
Can anybody help me?

Do you mean TV- out port or monitor port? As far as I know this unit is preinstalled with WXP Home and all drivers can be also used for WXP Pro.
Did you preinstall your own OS (non recovery image)?

Tecra M4: TV s-video out does not work with Vista

I have windows vista ultimate on Tecra m4.
I tried to get tv out through s-video but nothing happened.
I tried fn+f5 but it shows only Lcd choice with no other choices.
While it works good with windows xp tablet edition I installed the newest driver offered by toshiba but nothing happened.
The same problem is still here; no tv out.

As far as I know the Vista drivers are not available for the Tecra M4 at this time.
I have checked the Vista driver download site and the M4 is not listed.
I think you have to wait for compatible drivers
If you install the graphic driver, you should check the Nvidia display settings. There you could choose between the TV, analogue display and digital flat display.

On ipad screen during playback, look for an icon that is a rectangle with a triangle in it.
press it,should see a list of available devices.

The video editor is not working

I have a nokia 701 with symbian belle on it and the video editor program is not working I searched for a solution on the internet and its written that I just can open the video and edit it but it didn't work with me and thier is no edit option on the video, I also tried to uninstall the program to install it again but the program is protected and can't be uninstalled.
so I came here with hope to find a solution to my problem so please help me.

have you recently upgraded to Belle Feature Pack 2? Because the video editor has moved to the Gallery itself. otherwise, check if there are any firmware updates available for your device, and update to the latest version offered.
failing that, you can try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite and if that doesn't work, then you may need to perform a three-finger hard reset. please make a backup of all personal data first as this reset wipes everything.
Failing the above, you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support

Tecra S1 video out does not work

I tried to connect my TS1 via cinch to a beamer. Unfortunately because of other reasons I can not use VGA.
However I do not get any signal at all. I tried nearly everything. I installed Windows XP with Toshiba Recovery CDs again, but it does not work either.
Is there anyone knowing what to do?

do you have a picture on the internal lcd?
via chinch to a beamer - this wont work...
you get a pal/ntsc signal from this connector.. i am not sure if your beamer can handle this sort of signal...
take a vga cable to try *and* install the "fn-f5" tool from toshiba to switch the picure to external display.

The SiriusXM player does not work under latest version of Firefox. Is Mozilla aware of this?

When I installed the latest version of Firefox my SiriusXM player stopped working. SiriusXM Tech support says that their player will not work with the latest version of FireFox. Is Mozilla aware of this and will it be fixed in the future. I am also having the same problem with certain radio stations that stream their broadcasts.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Video out doesn't work anymore

The video out doesn't work properly any more on my G4 12inch powerbook. It had been working fine, but now it doesn't work properly with either of the mini-vga adapters that came with my powerbook. When using the mini-vga to composite/s-video, the image appears on the tv but there is no colour and the picture isn't stable at any resolution over 800 x 600.
When connecting to a monitor or projector using the mini-vga to VGA adapter, the image appears on the screen etc but the colour is completely wrong (everything is shades of green).
I can't think of anything that might be the problem, though I did upgrade from 10.3 to 10.4 and I'm wondering is this might be the problem??

I really need help. I can not set up my i chat and had someone else do it. They have set up jabber for me but now the video chat is not working. How can I get it working?

Had an Iphone 4 for about 3 months now. This happened to the first one I had and they ended up having to replace it at the apple store just a couple weeks ago 6/2. It happened again last night to my new one. This time i was able to correct it by going to itunes, backing up the phone to icloud, and then restoring the software. Mine did not work with voice memo, but did work with headphones plugged in, and would also work on speaker. I could hear callers but they couldn't hear me. I had purchased a new case (lifeproof case at $79.99) because it comes with plugs that cover the headphone jack, and the charging port, and is also waterproof. I heard that the root cause is due to lint, dirt, etc getting inside the headphone jack. Well, must be something else. It's a 10 days old phone, and has been in this overpriced case the whole time, and I have not used the headphones. I hope this doesn't keep happening.

How do you get the video out to TV to work on the iPhone 3GS

I cannot get the video out to TV to work on my iPhone 3GS with iOS 5.1.1.
I am using the $40.00 apple composite AV cables and nothing seems to work. With the cables connected to tv input nothing shows up in general settings for video out. Or anywhere else for that matter. I have tried many different TV's, sometimes I get audio but never never ever video . Does anyone else have this problem or better yet the answer?

But, i do know what was wrong now. The whole problem was the brand new $40.00 set of apple composite AV cables i just bought was no good. This afternoon i took a trip to the nearest apple retail outlet (30 miles away) with phone and cables in hand. And after doing a little head scratching of their own they decided to try another set of cables, and low and behold the darn thing worked like a charm.I was very impressed by the service at the apple store even though i didnt buy either product from them. I wonder if there is a bad batch of cables floating around out there because it looks like other people out there are having the same problem, which is why i didnt really suspect the cables. Macbook Pro 2011 DVI HDMI out does not work with TV when the power cable is connected

My Macbook Pro (Early 2011) DVI HDMI out does not work with TV when the power cable is connected. If get the blue screen and then can use the macbook but nothing is displayed on the TV. If i go into display I can see that there are two screens but nothing displayed on the TV. If i take the power cable out at this point the TV shows the second desktop as expected. If i then reconnect the cable, the screen flickers, as though it is being affected by the power cable, and the screen goes blank on the TV. Only if i remove the DVI cable do i get the blue screen again. If i remove the power cable and reconnect it will do it every single time, so i cannot see it being a TV issue or a minor glitch.
I have had this working previously but at the minute it seems to not be playing ball....any thoughts
