Why can`t I burn the Video I took with my iphone to a playable DVD that works in DVD players. Made a video, put it on my computer then added to my library. Created playlist, selected "Burn to Disc" but only creates a data DVD. I need to know how to burn my Video to a DVD-RW that will play in any DVD player.

I have found something about idvd, but why would that be the only option? itunes should have the capability to burn to dvd (a playable dvd)your personal videos insted of buying different software. Otherwise it`s only good for music. Why have an iphone? Why not buy a camera and the software to burn pics or video to what ever you want. This makes itunes obsolete in my mind. Windows media player as well. I downloaded itunes to our computers because we have iphones. Now it`s just limited to burning music, insted you have to buy more software to make it possible to burn playable dvd`s of personal vidoes and pics,? that should already be included in itunes. itunes should be able to reconize licensed products over personal videos downloaded from a persons iphone. -

A quick Google of iCloud leads me to believe that video content is not currently part of the iCloud service. That makes sense because adding video to the mix would certainly add a lot of bandwidth strain to the service. But there is an iOS app called Video Stream ($2.99) that you might look into that adds video to your iCloud account. If you use a lot of space you may need to buy additional iCloud storage above the 5 GB of free space.

Since upgrading to IOS 7 the photographs I take on my iPhone 4S do not transfer to the cloud. Sometimes one or two of them transfer but then none for weeks. I have deleted photos from the cloud in case it is full but to no affect. I use my iPhone in conjunction with an iPad so this is driving me mad. Anyone else have this problem?
No you're not the only one having this problem in fact many people are having it I spoke to Apple support today about it. First it is my opinion the aspect ratio is different on iPhone 4s compared to iPhone 5s, however I really feel it is a software issue. Just to make sure I am having the same problem you are I will describe my issue. I Have confirmed the following: if I Center an object on my iPhone 4s screen and open the picture while I am still in the app (open on the bottom left it)looks fine. But when I open camera roll and open that particular picture it's also fine
Until I scroll left or right it pulls the image to the left side appearing to cut off the left side of the image. After talking to Apple support today and my knowledge with Apple products I strongly suspect this is a software issue. Apple asked me to do a restore as a new phone but I'm not going to go through all that nonsense when I believe it's a software issue and not a hardware issue. So again to recap to answer your question you're not alone, theses sort of things are expected when they rollout a new iOS just hang in there and let's see if they put a patch out for next update. -

There is no "cda format" - this is just how Windows Explorer shows the tracks on an audio CD that can be played on any CD player. When you use iTunes to burn a playlist to an audio disc, it creates a standard "Red Book" disc, converting the format of the files within the iTunes library to 16/44.1 audio (albeit without recovering any of diminished quality of mp3 or aac data). If you want to create a CD that contains the files from iTunes, in the format in which they exist in the library, you should use the MP3 CD or Data CD selection from the iTunes Burn Settings dialog.

I've purchased some songs on my iphone (it's running ios 5 beta). When I sync the phone with my pc it tells that there are no purchased songs to tranfer but I can't find the file in my Music library.
There's away to get the file from the phone?
I've always bought from iTunes store without problems before.
ByeFirst you would need to authorise your computer in order to play any media u purchased on your iPhone, click on store on the menu and click on authorise computer. It will prompt you for your apple account id and password. After your've authorised your computer, right click on the iPhone device shown on iTunes and then click on transfer purchase, it will transfer all the purchase on your iPhone to the iTunes library on your computer.
Then you can choose to sync your iPhone with the iTunes library, you can do that by clicking on those tabs shown as you click on your iPhone device on iTunes (i.e. apps, audio, movies etc) and then click check the sync option and then click on apply. IMPORTANT: make sure you back up your iphone before as syncing might erase stuff on your iphone.
After syncing you will find the media files in your home folder (mac) or user/your name/music folder (PC), they are located in the iTunes Media folder in those folders. -

Photos shown in the Package Contents are not visible in iPhoto.
I am using iPhoto '08 (7.1.5 (378)) and have suddenly found that the last 3 years worth of photos are not displayed in iPhoto while they are still visible in the Package Contents (using Finder). The folders (with event and image content) for 2012 through part 2009 are in Originals, Modified and Data but do not get picked up by the iPhoto application. I have backups upto April 2011 i.e. no backups for a considerable number of photos since April 2011.
I have searched previous discussions whereupon I have tried using the re-build option in iPhoto Library Manager (it re-builds with the photos missing) and all the re-build options available when launching iPhoto with the Option+Command keys pressed (with seemingly very little activity).
Has anyone had this problem? Have I missed a relevant discussion? Does anyone know how I can re-instate my missing photos and events in iPhoto?

MartinWhen you repaired the libary did you check the option ot recover orphane3d photos in the iPhoto Library folder along with rebuilding the database file and repairing file permissions and?
If that doesn't help the try the following:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

I want to get copies of the pics on my iWeb but they are not in my iphoto library anymore. Does anyone know how I can get them - easier and faster than downloading my own pics one at a time?

That is a different question. So, do you mean you are using a new computer with iTunes to sync? I'm presuming that is what you mean if you just downloaded iTunes?

To transfer items that were not purchased through iTunes you will need a 3rd party software to do so. Do a Google search so you can review the options and select one to use.

Problem:
When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.
Any help that you can provide in helping my iPhone accurately sync with iPhoto and iTunes will be greatly appreciated.
Symptoms:
1) Sync: It’s not completing the sync. Below, I’ve provided all of my settings from the iTunes Summary tab so that you might tell me if I’ve selected any incorrect options. I prefer to sync the “old school” way – by connecting to the computer – as opposed to syncing over the cloud. Perhaps this is what’s causing the problem? Here is a list of the steps displayed in the iTunes window as the sync progresses:
waiting for sync to start (step 1 of 7)
backing up (step 2 of 7)
preparing to sync (step 3 of 7)
determining apps to sync (step 4 of 7)
preparing apps to sync (step 5 of 7)
importing photos (step 6 of 7)
waiting for changes to be applied (step 7 of 7)
syncing apps / copying 1 of 4 (App name) (step 7 of 7)

2) Photos: I've selected only certain of my iPhoto albums to sync to my iPhone. All of the albums are correct/complete in iPhoto. All of the albums are listed on my iPhone, both before and after the sync, but the albums are empty (no actual photos) before and after the sync. Perhaps this is tied to the fact that the sync isn’t completing, but because “importing photos” is one of the steps that the incomplete sync displays, I don’t know.
3) Apps: When I launch iTunes and click on the Apps folder under the Library listing, then click on the Updates tab, iTunes searches for any Apps needing to be updated and provides a list. If I click on Update All, the Apps are successfully updated in iTunes. But, when I plug in my iPhone so that the updates will transfer to the apps on my iPhone, the updates don’t transfer to the apps on my iPhone and those apps still reflect that they need updating on the iPhone.
Other Potential Pertinent Info:
The flash memory hard drive on my MacBook Air recently died (perhaps a month or two ago). Apple had emailed me about a known issue and literally the next day, my MacBook Air crashed. I installed a new flash memory drive and re-installed everything from a backup off of an external hard drive. Everything seems to be working fine; it recreated accurately all of my software and data, including iPhoto and iTunes, the pictures and songs (respectively) for which are stored on that hard drive, as opposed to being on the flash memory in the MacBook Air itself. However, I don’t recall if the start of the sync problem described herein started happening at the same time that I replaced the flash memory drive. All I know is that the computer is working perfectly in all respects and that even as the sync is failing, it at least says that it’s doing the right things and looking in the right places (e.g., the list of albums on my iPhone matches the list of albums in iTunes, etc.).
