The Way to connect CF to Exchange in Cloud

I have a CF server, needs to connect to Exchange Cloud,
Apparently there is no more existing IP adress.
What is the way to connect the CF mail spooler to a Cloud mail.
I do not have any knowledge on this matter.
Thanks for help.
Pierre.

Plug it in by ethernet if at all possible.
Then you can set the wireless to roaming mode.
If not then wireless connect them, using the extend wireless mode.

My question was about the necessity of implementing OID or any other version of LDAP.
We have a new 9iAS and 8.1.7 database implementation and i have a doubt about their networking architecture.
I want to know the ways of connecting 9iAS to Database and clients to database through 9iAS as middleware. We are debating if OID is compulsory or if we can go ahead with this implementation with out OID.
Can you please help me and provide me couple of implementation designs(i.e connecting clients to database through 9iAS). It would be great if any one can provide me the implementation's with and with out OID.

  • Understanding the way to connect a MDD to BlackMagic Decklink Extreme card

    Hi,
I require some help in the following:
I recently bought myself a Blackmagic DeckLink Extreme™ with 10bit SDI/analog video and audio capture card.
Looking at the specs, http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/sd/specs/, can someone give me directions as to the best setup I can do from the following sources and what other equipment I may require to achieve it.
    - mono stereo audio VHS -> has 1 video/audio in and 1 video/audio out (composite connections)
    - stereo audio video camera -> has 1 8 pin S-Video out port to composite connections (Hi8 tape type)
    - DVD player -> has composite 2 x 2ch stereo audio out, 1 x 5.1ch stereo audio out, 2 x video out, 1x component video out, 2 x S-video out, 2 x digital audio out; 1 x RCA/OPT
    - 2 x 23" monitors connected by ADC and DVI connections to a Apple MDD G4, may relay to 60" Plasma for video monitoring from video card prior to creating DVD final piece for playback.
Basically, I wanted to have multiple source inputs and outputs, but I'm having difficulty in understanding the setup. Please refer to http://www.blackmagic-design.com/downloads/connections/decklinkdiagram.pdf page 5/6.

One option is to purchase a hard drive (say, a 2TB Hitachi G-Technology drive) and connect it to the USB port on the back of the Apple Extreme. The other option is to purchase a drive with an ethernet connection (say, a 2TB Lacie drive) and connect it to an ethernet port on the Apple Extreme.
In the second case what you'd have actually is a NAS. Apple's AirPort routers aren't known for fast file sharing. The NAS option might be faster.
Is either option better for streaming movies from the hard drive to my Apple TV?
I could be wrong, but an AppleTV may not be able to access content directly from a network drive. It may require that a Mac serve as an intermediary.

  • Are there any known good home phone systems for the Home Phone Connect

I've had the Home Phone Connect now for several months.  I have had a Panasonic KX-TG7641 for a good while now.  I bought this system to connect a cell phone through the Bluetooth to make a receive calls at home.  This cell phone stayed docked in the charger next to the Panasonic base station.  There were a few extra steps involved in order to make calls using the Bluetooth and every time my mother-in-law visits it is an extensive training process to show her how to use the phone.  Every. Time. She. Makes. A. Call.
I saw the HPC and figured I could simplify the system and since the cell we kept connected was off contract, I got the HPC for free and signed up for 2 years with it. This was a mistake.  While I can always hear the callers on the line, they sometimes report that I am too garbled to understand.  Today I knew I was going to be on the phone on hold for a while, so I used my home phone handset for comfort (vice holding my Galaxy up to my head for an extended period of time)
After a 30 minute on-hold with the Veterans Administration I finally got through to an operator who informed me she could barely hear me/broken and garbled.  Where I have my HPC at it is right in a window and I have steady 2 bars on it always.  I told her I could call back on my cell phone, but she insisted we power through it so I wouldn't have to wait again on hold.  Well we eventually made it through the call.
After hanging up I used my Google powers to see what the issue it/how to fix it.  It appears that the people that have issues when using the HPC also have Panasonic phones/base stations connected to it.       This might be because Panasonic phones are widely available and are the most common ones in use, but it might also be in that something is incompatible between the 2 systems.  Odd, since the way it connects is similar to an old POTS.  Could it have something to do with the DECT 6.0 that hey use (on the 1.9GHz band) where other older devices use standard 2.4 or 5.8?

Thank you for the tip.  Sorry if it's the wrong forum.  I don't post here often.  I searched for the Home Phone Connect under devices and found it under "Other" so figured this was the best place to post it.  Could you point me to the correct place for the HPC discussions?
I'll double check later when I'm home on my computer to see iff the problems being reported are all using the DECT 6.0 (1.9GHz).  Might be causing some interference of some sort.

  • Mail refuses to connect to my Exchange Server

I have an Exchange Server which also functions as an IMAP server. I cannot get mail to connect this server using the IMAP protocol. Thunderbird on the same machine connects to this exchange server just fine using IMAP. And Mail does not have problem connecting to other IMAP servers. Any idea on where I can look to troubleshoot?

I'm in the same boat and have been banging my head against this all day. Have you found an answer yet?

  • Middleware technologies used for data exchange in Cloud for Customer system

    Hi Techies,
I would like to know what are the different middleware technologies like ALE,EDI and IDOC, Web Services or any other technology plays role in data exchange between SAP ERP and SAP Cloud for Customer system.
My project includes implementation of SAP Cloud for Sales, I've read many documents and seen various videos for ERP Configuration and Cloud Configuration, I see that there is a standard report that we want to execute and specify the type of data to be exchanged between Cloud for Customer and SAP ERP via SAP NW PI system.
When executing the report we select the IDOC Type and run the report, so once after execution all data is copied to SAP Cloud for Customer system.
What about configuration of IDOCS ? Do we need to maintain port, partner profiles, logical system etc ? as usual we do when working on Interface between SAP to SAP systems ?
Or is it maintained when we make all the communication settings between SAP ERP <-> SAP NW PI <-> SAP Cloud for Customer system ?
Can anyone help to understand this better ?
    Thanks,
    Gowri Shankar

    Hi Gowri,
The standard report does exactly that.
It generates, the ports, partner profiles, RFC destinations and other objects required for communication configuration in SAP to connect to C4C.
If you are not using HCI, you can directly connect to C4C, otherwise you will have to manually edit the RFC destination and provide the HCI worker node URL.
Note that this report is part of an Add On which is applicable only after a specific SAP ECC version.
If you are on lower version, you will have to create them manually.
    regards,
    Anirudh Vyas.

  • Cannot open your default e-mail folders. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your Outlook data file (.ost)

Fresh installation of Exchange Server 2013 on Windows Server 2012.
Our first test account cannot access their email via Outlook but can access fine through OWA. The following message appears - "Cannot open your default e-mail folders. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize
your folders with your Outlook data file (.ost)" is displayed.
If I turn off cached Exchange mode, setting the email account to not
cache does not resolve the issue and i get a new error message - "Cannot open your default e-mail folders. The file (path\profile name).ost is not an Outlook data file (.ost). Very odd since it creates its own .ost file when you run it for the first
    time.
I cleared the appdata local Outlook folder and I tested on a new laptop that has never connected to Outlook, same error message on any system.
Microsoft Exchange RPC Client Access service is running.
No warning, error or critical messages in the eventlog, it's like the healthiest server alive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't encountered this issue with previous versions of Exchange.

So it looks like a lot of people are having this issue and seeing how Exchange 2013 is still new (relatively to the world) there isn't much data around to answer this. I've spend ALOT of time trying to figure this out.
Here is the answer. :) - No I don't know all but I'm going to try to give you the most reasonable answer to this issue, in a most logical way.
First thing I did when I was troubleshooting this issue is that I ignored Martina Miskovic's suggestion for Step4 http://technet.microsoft.com/library/jj218640(EXCHG.150)because it didn't make sense to me because I was trying to connect
Outlook not outside the LAN but actually inside. However, Martina's suggestion does fix the issue if it's applied in the correct context.
This is where the plot thickens (it's stew). She failed to mention that things like SSL (which I configure practically useless - anyone who ever worked in a business environment where the owner pretty much trusts anyone in the company, otherwise they don't
work there - very good business practice in my eyes btw, can confirm that...) are some sort of fetish with Microsoft lately. Exchange 2013 was no exception.
In exchange 2003, exchange 2007 and exchange 2010 - you could install it and then go to outlook and set it up. And when outlook manual Microsoft Exchange profile would ask you for server name, you would give it and give the name of the person who you setting
up - as long as machine is on the domain, not much more is needed. IT JUST WORKS! :) What a concept, if the person already on premises of the business - GIVE HIM ACCESS. I guess that was too logical for Microsoft. Now if you're off premises you can use things
like OutlookAnywhere - which I might add had their place under that scenario.
In Exchange 2013, the world changed. Ofcourse Microsoft doesn't feel like telling it in a plain english to people - I'm sure there is an article somewhere but I didn't find it. Exchange 2013 does not support direct configuration of Outlook like all of it's
previous versions. Did you jaw drop? Mine did when I realized it. So now when you are asked for your server name in manual outlook set up and you give it Exchange2013.yourdomain.local - it says cannot connect to it. This happens because ALL - INTERNAL AND
EXTERNAL connection are now handled via OutlookAnywhere. You can't even disable that feature and have it function the reasonable way.
So now the question still remains - how do you configure outlook. Well under server properties there is this nice section called Outlook anywhere. You have a chance to configure it's External and Internal address. This is another thing that should be logical
but it didn't work that way for me. When I configured the external address different from the internal - it didn't work. So I strongly suggest you get it working with the same internal address first and then ponder how you want to make it work for the outside
    users.
Now that you have this set up you have to go to virtual directories and configure the external and internal address there - this is actually what the Step 4 that Martina was refering to has you do.
Both external and internal address are now the same and you think you can configure your outlook manually - think again. One of the most lovely features of Outlook Anywhere, and the reason why I had never used it in the past is that it requires a TRUSTED
    certificate.
See so it's not that exchange 2013 requires a trusted certificate - it's that exchange 2013 lacks the feature that was there since Windows 2000 and Exchange 5.5.
So it's time for you to install an Active Direction Certificate Authority. Refer to this wonderful article for exact steps - http://careexchange.in/how-to-install-certificate-authority-on-windows-server-2012/
Now even after you do that - it won't work because you have to add the base private key certificate, which you can download now from your internal certsrv site, to Default Domain Policy (AND yes some people claim NEVER mess with the Default Domain Policy,
always make an addition one... it's up to you - I don't see direct harm if you know what you want to accomplish) see this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc738131%28v=ws.10%29.aspx if you want to know exact steps.
This is the moment of ZEN! :) Do you feel the excitement? After all it is your first time. Before we get too excited lets first request and then install the certificate to actual Exchange via the gui and assign it to all the services you can (IIS, SMTP and
there is a 3rd - I forgot, but you get the idea).
Now go to your client machine where you have the outlook open, browse to your exchange server via https://exchang2013/ in IE and if you don't get any certificate errors - it's good. If you do run on hte client and the server: gpupdate /force This will refresh
the policy. Don't try to manually install the certificate from Exchange's website on the client. If you wanna do something manually to it to the base certificate from the private key but if you added it to the domain policy you shouldn't have to do it.
Basically the idea is to make sure you have CA and that CA allows you to browse to exchange and you get no cert error and you can look at the cert and see that's from a domain CA.
NOW, you can configure your outlook. EASY grasshoppa - not the manual way. WHY? Cause the automatic way will now work. :) Let it discover that exachange and populate it all - and tell you I'm happy! :)
Open Outlook - BOOM! It works... Was it as good for you as it was for me?
You may ask, why can't I just configure it by manual - you CAN. It's just a nightmare. Go ahead and open the settings of the account that got auto configed... How do you like that server name? It should read something like [email protected]
and if you go to advanced and then connection tab - you'll see Outlook Anywhere is checked as well. Look at the settings - there is the name of the server, FQDN I might add. It's there in 2 places and one has that Mtdd-something:Exchange2013.yourdomain.local.
So what is that GUID in the server name and where does it come from. It's the identity of the user's mailbox so for every user that setting will be different but you can figure it out via the console on the Exchange server itself - if you wish.
Also a note, if your SSL certs have any trouble - it will just act like outlook can't connect to the exchange server even though it just declines the connection cause the cert/cert authority is not trusted.
So in short Outlook Anywhere is EVERYWHERE! And it has barely any gui or config and you just supposed to magically know that kind of generic error messages mean what... Server names are now GUIDs of the [email protected] - THAT MAKES PERFECT
SENSE MICROSOFT! ...and you have to manage certs... and the only place where you gonna find the name of the server is inside the d*** Outlook Anywhere settings in the config tab, un it's own config button - CAN WE PUT THE CONFIG ANY FURTHER!
Frustrating beyond reason - that should be Exchange's new slogan...
Hope this will help people in the future and won't get delete because it's bad PR for Microsoft.
    PS
ALSO if you want to pick a fight with me about how SSL is more secure... I don't wanna hear it - go somewhere else...

    Hi.
If the instrumet can communicate with an OPC server I think both methods are fairly equal.
There is a chance that you might have to reinstall LabVIEW without OPC server if you choose DDE, as it is known that it might conflict with the DDE server.

Is there a way of connecting the ipad to the smart board in the classroom, so that the smartboard is the control, and the ipad is displaying what is on the smartboard? This is to help a visually impaired child see what is on the smartboard.

    Absolutely!
Install Splashtop2 on the PC and enable it to be controlled or ran from iPad or Reflection to simply allow iPad to serve as PC unwired monitor. With Splashtop and an Apple TV connected, you use the smartboard as usual, yet the PC and iPad can see the same content. The impaired child can even interact with the Smart Board via the iPad as if he were writing directly on the big screen. Erasing functions can be done by touching the Smart Board manual controls. Several variables are in play that cause this lack of functionality:
Apple won't permit PC software that infringes its proprietary apps.
Smart Board companies refuse to develop iPad apps because they feel threatened and are being replaced by iPads
School districts think Apple TV is meant for copyright infringement and could expose them to safe harbor lawsuits
Network administrators make it impossible to login Apple TVs because they don't want the streaming occurring
Classrooms are not able to keep up with the technology of using the iPad
Clicker companies refuse to play with iPad because they see it as a potential threat to their core business clients
Apple is not working as hard as it could to exploit its capabilities in education, thus losing money in iPad sales
The bottom line is that we educators and technology developers are hurting our childern with petty conflicts.

If you get an IOException when you try to use the socket, the connection was obviously closed.
The correct way for an application to know if the socket was closed is:
    1) the server sends a message indicating that the socket should be closed
    2) the client closes the socket itself

  • The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable

    Environment: Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Setup: Fresh install of Office 2010 64-bit from office 365 web site on a fresh install of Win 7 Pro 64bit.
Issue: I first launched Outlook and tried to link a new account to the client by putting in my email address and password.  It seemed to take it, but a new dialog box keeps poping up asking me for my password (it shows the email address
already filled in).  It acts as if it does not like my password, but I know it is correct because I can log in and get my mail through the web access.
When after 5 or 6 tries, I press cancel, I get the error message  " The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.  Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."  Then I get a
dialog box listing the Microsoft Exchange Server and Mailbox.
    Steps to resolve:
I am at a total loss on how to resolve this issue, is there anyway to manually connect to M.E> as it is just saying the connection is unavailable.  All of the other threads dealing with this issue have been no help.  I can sign into my account
at login.microsoftonline.net so I know the account is valid.  I also receive email to my iPhone with the account and server.  Any advice would be wonderful.
I went into Control Panel ->Mail, and deleted the profile.  Then I tried to create a new profile and I got the same results as the first time through Outlook directly.  Also, this is Windows 7 64 and office 64, but in Control Panel, it says
Mail(32bit).  This is a completely new install so I don't know why it is not working.  I have performed this exact same install on a dozen machines over the last 2 years without a single hitch.
I checked my DNS records and everything seems to check out.  I haven't changed anything in DNS for over a year.
I am out of the office so I cannot copy some of the registry entries as some of the other posts recommend.
I ran remote connectivity analyzer.  I don't know what it is saying, but below are the things that seemed to be irregular:
    1) Attempting to test potential Autodiscover URL https://X123.com:443/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml
Testing of this potential Autodiscover URL failed.
2)Testing TCP port 443 on host X123.com to ensure it's listening and open.
The specified port is either blocked, not listening, or not producing the expected response.
Any help would really be appreciated.
    Tom

    Hi Tom,
Please manually configure your Office 365 account in Outlook 2010 to check whether the issue persists. About how to manually configure Outlook for Office 365 account, please refer to:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/hot/archive/2012/02/06/how-to-manually-configure-outlook-office-365.aspx
If the account can be manually configured but can’t be auto-configured by using autodiscover, please open Outlook - press CTRL key - right click on the Outlook icon from right bottom corner taskbar - Test Email AutoConfiguration. Put your email address -
uncheck use guessmart and secure guessmart authentication - click Test to check your Autodiscover service. If possible, please post the
