The WD My Passport isn't showing up after installing 10.9.2

hello!
I just updated my OS to 10.9.4 and the WD external drive isn't showing up at all. When i go to Disk Utilities... it shows up but states something about my needing to update the partition or something. Any help is greatly appreciated. as you can imagine... my past three years abides there ;( Much thanks!

Check your account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store - Apple Support
If nothing shows then try logging out and back into your account on the computer/device that you are using.
Neither updating your account id and/or password, nor deauthorising your account, nor deleting content from a device or computer's iTunes library will affect your balance

The ‘Welcome to Firefox’ page that shows up after an update is installed has been coming up when ever I start up Firefox since I did the last update to 18.0.1, several days ago. How do I get it to stop?

The problem turned out to be an error on the prefs.js file where one or two of the parameters with the current version number were not properly updated, so the browser always thought I was opening it for the first time on a new version. I edited the version number in those parameters to agree with the version number in the Help/About dropdown and the problem went away. It has been a while now and I do not recall which were the faulty parameters, but here are the ones in my current prefs.js file that refer to the browser version (currently 21.0 for me):

My master cover art for "The Circus Life Podcast" isn't showing up in the store, only the podcast library. Can anyone help?

I just uploaded my new podcast, "The Circus Life Podcast" to iTunes via Libsyn. The master artwork for the show itself is not showing up in the store, only the library in the podcast app once you have subscribed. Me and my partner can't for the life of us figure out what to do. The RSS feed was submitted and approved over a week ago and still the artwork isn't show. Can anyone help?

Below are specs from Apple for artwork. They don't mention the 500kb limit - but it seems at least for .jpg images - any we have seen issues with that meet all the other requirement are over 500 kb - and lowering the file size was able to get them working.
But per CMYK - that definitely will not work on the iTunes store. Change your artwork to RGB - get the file size down below 500kb - and reupload to libsyn - with a new file name and your artwork should show up in 1 to 5 days.

Put the URL to the image in the href attribute. iTunes prefers square .jpg images that are at least 1400x1400 pixels, which is different from what is specified for the standard RSS image tag. In order for a podcast to be eligible for an iTunes Store feature, the accompanying image must be at least 1400x1400 pixels.
iTunes supports images in JPEG and PNG formats with an RGB color space (CMYK is not supported). The URL must end in ".jpg" or ".png". If the <itunes:image> tag is not present, iTunes will use the contents of the RSS image tag.
If you change your podcast’s image, also change the file’s name. iTunes may not change the image if it checks your feed and the image URL is the same. The server hosting your cover art image must allow HTTP head requests for iTS to be able to automatically update your cover art.
Spend some time developing an attractive, original image that represents your podcast well. Potential subscribers will see it on your podcast’s page and a much smaller version of the image in search results and feature placements. Make sure your design is effective in both sizes.
The <itunes:image> tag is also supported at the episode level. For best results, we recommend using the <itunes:image> tag at the item level as well as embedding the same art within the media file’s metadata. To embed art within an individual episode’s metadata using iTunes, select the episode and choose Get Info from the File menu. Click the Artwork tab. Then click Add, navigate to and select the image file, and click Choose.

Startup choices not showing up after install of earlier system on second drive

I run Yosemite on my main hard drive and love it. However, I have Pro Tools 10 and it won't run on the latest OSX 10.10.2 (Yosemite). So I decided to install OSX 10.6.8 on one of 5 internal hard drives on my computer so I could use PT10. So the install was successful, but when I go to my startup disk to select my Yosemite drive to startup with it again, I get no choice to select it. The only choice I get in my Startup Disk selections is the 10.6.8 drive, and the 10.6.8 install disk which is in my DVD drive. All my other drives are visible when I have a window open in 10.6.8, including the Yosemite, but not visible in as a startup choice in the Startup Disk preference.
The fact I see everything still in a window keeps me from freaking out.
Can someone tell me how to make my other system drive visible as a choice? I don't know what I've done to make it not visible. I've done this kind of thing plenty of times over the years, using another drive for an earlier system, but this has never happened where the others don't show up as a choice to restart, and I'm a tad worried.

Two more questions, if you don't mind.
1) Do I have to do that every time I want to get back to my Yosemite drive from 10.6.8? Can I change that where it shows up all the time?
2) What do I do to have all the other drive icons show up on the desktop of the 10.6.8 drive? Even the main 10.6.8 drive isn't showing on the desktop. I remember this happening before, but forgot what I did to correct it.

CC Desktop app doesn't show up after install

I recently reinstalled the OS on my computer (Win7, 64 bit) and now I'm having problems getting CC back up and running. I've downloaded CreativeCloudSet-up.exe and run through the install process, but CC never shows up on my desktop, and I can't find it anywhere in my start menu. Checking the PDApp.log file I see a single error:
Setting values for registry Key SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe Creative Cloud
If I try to reinstall I get a message saying: "Installer failed to initialize."
I've tried renaming the OOBE folder and going through the entire process again, but get the exact same results.
CC works fine on my laptop, and it used to work fine on this computer (prior to me reinstalling the OS), so not sure what the problem is. I have an urgent project I'm trying to work on, so any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE: After some additional searching I came across the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, which fixed my install problem. Everything seems to be working as expected now.

Only showing wallpaper after installing Leopard

After installing leopard, I log in and I see my hard drive and applications for about 5 seconds and then everything disappears. I hooked it up to another Mac with firewire and checked to see if ApplicationEnhancer.bundle was there and it isn't. The other login on my computer works. Please help!

So, you're implying that the other account is not an admin account, but not saying. Then, I'm unsure if this will work. Anyway, log into the good, nonadmin account, select System Preferences->Accounts->click on the lock, enter the admin username/password combo if an authentication window pops up. If that works, then create a new admin user account with a unique username/password combo, click on the lock, and log out and into the new account. If that works, report back.

Getting the error, application may be damaged or incomplete after installing ilife.

Can't open iPhoto after installing iLife. System is telling me that it is damaged or incomplete. New to the Mac....what to do?

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

How do I make my home tool bar show up? the bar with the picture of the house and the back and forward button isn't displaying.

* If on Windows in Firefox 3.6 the menu bar is hidden then press and hold the Alt key down, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear.
* Go to "View > Toolbars" and put a check-mark for "Menu Bar" to make that permanent. See [[Menu bar is missing]]).
* Make sure that you have the ''Navigation Toolbar'' and other toolbars visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then see if you can find them in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window.
* If you see the item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window to the Navigation toolbar.
* If you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window.

You first select "Classic Text" in the first drop-down menu of the text properties, then the second drop-down menu will change with the "classic" options: Static Text, Dynamic Text and Input Text.

I've been doing my podcast using LibSyn for over 4 years and have never seemed to have this issue. We have never changed the way that encode or export our show's MP3's. This past Friday, after releasing our show I had a bit of a long wait to see if it was ever going to appear in the iTunes store and it finally did. With that being said, it's there but it's now missing the "duration" and I'm not sure how to rectify that issue. I contacted LibSyn and they said that they didn't know what was going on either. Any ideas?

The part that's so trippy to me is that the "duration" seems to show up in the data provided via LibSyn so why now is it suddenly not showing up in the iTunes Store?

When checking from our end, it appears that you've fixed the issue -- the replacement file version (http://traffic.libsyn.com/amediocretime/Show_218b.mp3) has been scanned successfully by Libsyn, its duration is being displayed in iTunes, and we are able to play the episode from iTunes with no issues. (You might try to restart iTunes and/or wait a few minutes to see if the issue persists.) Please let us know if you have any questions.
