Faxing has stopped working completely....
Can you tell me if this means the firmware is corrupt and show be re-loaded?

Hello, you can also try a partial clean and reload the latest firmware, see if that will work.

But you can probably find the history of OS command been run with history command :). You can get the date and time.

Any guidelines using RSAL_LOG_WRITE to post message in the application log

I've programmed a rather complex extractor. As most you will know, the real test is when the extractor goes live in productions;-) So in order to be able to check if everything works as designed - I've customized the extractor in order to post more or less entries in the application logs - This setting can be alterered in the uses system directly.
I've tested the functionality using RSA3 and the application log is filled as expected. The Application log object is RSFH and everything shows up fine. When tring to use it from BW - The application log gets no entries under object RSAP (Where they normally will end up).
I'm using the function module RSAL_LOG_WRITE to add entries to the same log as the macroes LOG_WRITE uses.
Does anybody have any experiance adding entries to the standard application log in the source system when extracting data into BW?

screenshot if you can provide)? Please check and confirm in Event Viewer if there other related event you can find, such as Event 57 and so on. Meanwhile, can you remember what operations you have done before the warning occurred?

WebLogic 10.3.2.0 hanging at startup after "The server log file is opened."

A WebLogic 10.3.2.0 server is hanging at startup. There are no error messages. The last command in the startup window is:
"The server log file <log file dest> is opened. All server side log events will be written to this file."
I think the next line should be:
"Security initializing using security realm realm."
Any ideas on what could be the issue? For instance what resources should be accessed at that point of time? There is sufficient space left on the (virtual machine) disk. The VM configured with 8GB memory. Could it be performance related still?

Adding data to the formula log or package log

Is it possible to add data to the package or formula log?
I have create a package to load and process a file into a dimension file, but there is also transformation and record checking in the package, so it is possible records will be rejected (duplicate ID or non existent parent member).
I store these values in a seperate table in the SQL database, so the records are available.
Is it possible to add this data in the log file so it can be viewed from the view status in datamanager?

Hi Tim,
You can try to use the %LOGTABLE% parameter in the scrip logic call. In SQL, the BPC log is a temporally SQL table with one field called MSG, so if in you package you pass this parameter to the SQL procedure where you store the duplicates, so you can insert this records to LOGTABLE and then you will get this back in BPC as part of the log.

I am trying to get the audit log details using according to Michal's PO/PI tips: Audit Logs from a native WS - new feature but i am getting following result
i have used
key = new MessageKey(msg.getMessageId(), msg.getMessageDirection()); -------------> to generate the message key
generated value: 02766515-d1fe-11e3-b52d-0000008030fe(OUTBOUND)
and i have placed that value in the messagekey as shown above but i am not getting any output and it is returned saying fault String please some buddy help me in solving the problem.

I'd like to know whether you can build successfully in your local machine with MSBuild. You have to build succeed with MSBuild beore you can build with TFS Build since TFS build use MSBuild as its default compiler.
From the error message, you might build with wrong platform for your project. Please check if the build platfrom is proper. If you have customization of your build process template, it would be better to elaborate the reproduce steps and customization details.

Recently I started seeing these errors in the alert log for one of the databases:

I'm not sure what job is causing this as there is no reference and also not sure how to resolve this issue!! How can I properly trace back these errors? Any ideas or tips to what should I do?
I'm running 10.2.0.3 database on windows 2003 server.

I found the problem.. the executable job was referring to a none existing batch file..
I have refreshed the database from production some time ago and the jobs I have setup are referring to production scripts and paths (which we didnt have on dev)..
This is now resolved.

How to get the job logs from sm35 by using the queue id and session name?

hi all,
can any one please let me know how to read the job log from sm35 by using the session name and queue id. i have the job name and job count but is it possible to download the job log by using the queue id and session name.
FYI..
i want to read this job log and i want to send it to an email id.
-> i am using the job_open and submitting the zreport via job name and job count and then i am using the function module job_close.
but this is not working in my scenario i have the queue id and session name by using this two i want to get the job log is there any function module available or code please provide me some inputs.

Windows bactch job to trim the Listener log

Hi All ,
Can you help me to write a Windows batch job to trim the listener.log on periodically.
I have the below steps, which i do manually but i won't which needs to be put in batch.
copy listener.log listener_<today>.log
lsnrctl set log_file listener_new.log
del listener.log
lsnrctl set log_file listener.log
lsnrctl reload
del listener_new.log

Write the Error log from background Job to the Spool request

Hi ,
I have a situation where in i need to capture the error log of a Z program which runs as a background job and write that log into the spool request. My Z program calls runs RSEINB00 program using the SUBMIT statement. When this Job fails the error log can be seen in SM37. But i need this error log to be sent in to a spool.
I can read the error log using the BP_JOBLOG_READ FM and can also create a spool using the RSPO_SPOOL_OPEN FM.
The problem is, when the Submit statement executes, due to internal valdation in the RSEINB00 program the program terminates. Due to this it is not able to perform the SY-SUBRC Check and thus doesn't read the log.
Can anybody suggest me how to overcome this problem. I am attaching the code for your refernece.
