The webpage area freezes but the title bar is still working.

Just installed windows 8.1 64 bit on my acer laptop 5750G. I have the portable version of firefox (don't know if this "good" or not) downloaded from portableapps.com. It was working fine on windows 7 (it was 32 bit). Is it all because this 64/32 bit thing?
I even tried to search for a non-portable (the common one we all use) firefox 64 bit but it seems there isn't any version like that and somehow I understood it works with both 32 & 64 thingies. So, Now, What Should I do?
Here's what happens with me:
Randomly, The webpage "area" stops responding (it hangs) ; then when I click on another tab the title bar changes to the name of the tab but the webpage area doesn't change.
It happened twice so far. On the third time that happened; I clicked on each other tab and dragged them out to form a new window of firefox. and it worked. they all got separated but the one that froze was actually "draggable" but still not responsive. So I just closed it and went on my session. Of course this is not a solution.
Did it happen to any of you guys? What could be the solution for this problem?

hello husseinmoussa, maybe that's an issue with hardware acceleration - please try [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL|updating your graphics driver]], or in case this doesn't solve the issue or there is no new version available at the moment, disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

no official way but if you open the Apple TV and put the hd in the external case it should mount and give you access to the data on it

It sounds like there is a payback issue with one or more movies in iTunes on your Mac. If the movies weren't purchased from the iTunes Store, do you see the same issue with content downloaded from the iTunes Store? When duplicating comps the layers are missing but the preview works

Hi,
When I duplicate a comp in AE CS6 and open it up up none of the layers are visible yet the preview shows me they should be there.

There were a couple of weird things that I saw. First, when you double clicked the duplicate the Timeline didn't echo the name. When you went back, it did. I suspect that you're having graphics drivers issues. I'd close all your comp windows and then open them up again. I'd also re-boot and empty caches.
It would help us if we knew what kind of system you were running and if your AE is up to date?

Move the library back into your Pictures folder and open it. Then close it and try rebuilding again.

Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

My firefox installation is complete on my PC with Win XP, the icons are up, but the program will not start... no process or anything in task manager... any idea what is going on?

bought a second hand laptop running Windows xp. When I go to download firefox, the installation goes seemingly smooth, but the program will not open. There are no firefox processes showing in task manager when I do this. I just downloaded chrome instead, but it sucks and I want firefox but my computer rejects it. This computer runs every other program I use without a hitch

thanks chris for the reply back,i have solved the massive problem i have had with MF 3.6.3 it ws COMODO FREE FIREWALL i had a sneaking suspicion all a long it could have been that but was not sure?,my pc had slowed down since installing comodo i am pretty sure of that,there were lags and pauses ect ect on general usage of the pc even though cpu usage was ok?,so maybe if many pc users that have comodo firewall installed they might like to try a change to another firewall and see if it helps,i went back to OUTPOST FREE FIREWALL which i had for ages without ANY problems whatsoever.

The track pad on my Macbook pro isn't working well. The scrollbars are there but the only way it lets me scroll is with the arrows. It also doesn't let me highlight anything to delete it nor does it like me double click to open any documents. Help?

The text in a lot of my books I have downloaded in IBooks has disappeared. It is mostly the older books on my IPad. The books are there but the text is missing. How do I get the text back?

Try closing the iBooks app. Press the home button to get to the home screen if you're not already there. Then double click the home button. Locate the iBooks icon at the bottom. Hold your finger down on it until a red minus appears. Tap the red minus. Press the home button to return to normal. Then relaunch iBooks.
If that fails, delete the books, then you can redownload them under the Purchased tab in "Store."

I'm having trouble with my contacts. The contacts are listed but the phone numbers are no longer there. Can someone help?

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

Output says "The number of bytes in the file are 0" but the file has bytes

Dear Java People,
Why would an output say a file has 0 bytes when upon doing a search for the file in Windows Explorer it say the file has 1 -4 kbytes ?
for example part of my output was :

The webpage is launching but nothing is displayed. It works fine when I use IE.

When Ilaunch Firefox, nothing is displayed on the screen. When I launch IE, I am able to open webpages.

Make sure that your firewall isn't blocking Firefox.

Videos Freezes but the sound still continues.

Hi all, I don't know what my problem is, I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times, I"ve deleted all history and cookies, it affects all browsers. I need help.
My problem is that the screen would freeze but the sound and the indicator on the bottom would still, but only for a few second, then everything is frozen.
I either have to move my mouse arrow over it to get it to move again or wait for the little window that says flash player plugin has failed and then refresh.
I use a small window and have it overlap a small edge of the video keeps it from freezing, don't know why.
I"m at a stump here.

I am facing the similar issue does apple has any fix for this for iPhone 5 user, the biggest issue is that my iPhone 5 lags which has never happened it's similar to that of android, can Apple give iPhone5 user the option to get back to iOS7 or Fix this so called LAG issue ?
