The wifi on my ipad 2 has gone, and out of warrenty
I got my iPad 2 for christmas 2011 the following year for christmas i got a new case (Apple Smart Case) when puting it into the case the corner craked, It was a very small crack and i put selotape overit and left it but the cracks got a little bigger (still not on screen, just border) but 2 years 4 months after puchasing the wifi has started to go i have to stand besind the router and even thought the router it only 10cm away i may only get 1 bar (im 100% sure its not the router as i have loads of other devices that work fine and it doesnt work at freinds houses either) i dont know if its related to the very small crack on the top right hand corner but i need it fixed and i dont want to have to buy a replacement ipad.
Any Advice aprreciated
PS- Could it be ios 7 thats causing the problem, i cant update to 7.1 as it just says update failed everytime, Plz Help
Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.
They will examine your iPad and explain your options. There is an out of warranty replacement program that may be offered to you. That will provide a replacement iPad of the same model at a reduced cost. Given it's an iPad 2 however it might be better to consider other alternatives such as a refurbished iPad or and iPad with retina display which is presently the lowest cost new iPad available.

The volume on my iPad 3 has gone. I've checked the mute button, tried restarting, resetting etc and nothing has changed. I can't hear the music, hear any sound from videos. Most times the video stops playing after a seconds. My iPad 3 is only 2 months ol.
If you have lost all sound and video is freezing on you, that ain't good. Your iPad is two months old so I would not hesitate to contact Apple at all. You are entitled to 90 days of phone support.

If you want to try a couple of things on your own, try quitting all apps and then reboot the iPad - not so much for the sound issue itself - but more as a general "start all over again" sort of approach. It might help with the video freezes.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you use headphones on occasion, you can try plugging and unplugging those as well and see if the sound comes back.
You could even try restoring the iPad to factory settings and then restore from a backup, but unless there is something totally hosed on the iPad, that should not be necessary with a two month old device - of course assuming that you didn't drop the iPad or do something accidental that could be causing the problems. -

I downloaded a movie last night from iTunes and it downloaded to my laptop and my phone but for some reason it now won't play on my laptop. The album artwork on my laptop has gone and it exists perfectly on my phone. What do I do?
I paid for it so I'd really like to avoid paying again just to see this movie. Is it because it's on my iPhone? Whenever I try to click on the movie to make it play it just does nothing like it's not there. The file for the movie exists within my iTunes library files but I can't seem to click and drag it into iTunes or open it with iTunes. If the reset doesn't do it then it's possible that the backlight or another part of your screen has broken. Unfortunately it's not really user servicible. I'd make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out. If your device is still under warranty and they don't determine that the damage was the result of 'abuse or neglect' (their words) then it could be a free replacement.
I'd just do a backup before you take it in, just in case. -
My iPad screen has gone black. I have tried resetting it with the sleep and home buttons and it only flashes the apple on the screen for a nano second and then it goes black again. I can even hear notifications arriving, but I cannot see anything...I'd rather not reset it to the factory settings as I have a lot of things I worry about using. Either way seems to me that the system itself is working since I can hear it working, but its the screen that isn't. It has not been dropped and has been in a case for years! Please help!

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -

I have ipad 3 & daughter new ipad mini with RD. She has nano and I have classic. Her nano syncs to her own laptop and mine to my desktop. I bought iTunes Match and authorised both iPads and both iPods. I have now enabled iTunes Match in my ipad and was warned it would replace my library. I pressed "enable" and now the 1800 songs in my library are gone and all I've got is the music my daughter bought from iTunes. What have I done wrong and how can I get my songs back. When I bought iTunes Match I got 1 e-mail confirming subscription and another providing receipt but nothing else no links etc. any assistance would be appreciated.
ArccctwcYou can only upload music from your computer's iTunes, you can't do it from an iOS device - when you subscribe to iTunes Match on your computer it should have scanned your music library on it and matched or uploaded any non-iTunes purchased music to it.
Do you have copies of those tracks anywhere e.g. on an iOS device or on your backup of your downloads/library ? If they are iTunes purchases then they should be in the cloud. If they were copied from CDs or bought from other sources then if they are only on an iOS device (i.e. you don't have them on a backup) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

Help my IPad calendar has gone completely blank , it still is ok on IPhone but has deleted all my appointments on the pad all by itself!
Close the Calendar app on the Task Bar and re-launch.
1. Double-click the Home button to reveal Task Bar
2. Hold the Calendar app down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close app
4. Tap area above Task Bar to return to Home screen -
Is it possible to restrict access to specific IOS apps based on the WIFI profile that a user has connected to?
you might be able to block it if the app uses Internet access
and depending on your wireless you might be able to block a specific user
accessing the backend host that the app uses
some firewalls offer application filtering but I'm not aware of any that work with ios apps -

The text/email/alerts sound volume has gone right down on my iPhone 4, but the ringtone volume is still loud! Adjusting the volume in "Settings" only changes the ringer volume, I just can't find a way to increase the alerts volume! Help please!!!
