The Windows 10 Installation Failed
I have an Acer V 17 Nitro Black Edition (VN7-791G)
I have tried over 10 times to upgrade to Windows 10. Using the app (said I was ready to upgrade) to using a USB drive setup by the media creation tool from Microsoft. Everytime I have tried to upgrade I get the same error:
Something Happened
The Windows 10 Installation Failed.
That is the only error I get. I have the latest drivers, did a clean boot with no programs loaded and still get the same error. There are alot of crazy ideas on how to do it but none of them worked (eg; setting the date a day into the future)
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this as Microsoft support is worthless.

Hi, did you get your bluetooth to pair with your any of your bluetooth devices after Windows 10 upgrade? I tried mine many times and it doesn't work. Seems like ACER/Broadcomm have yet to upgrade drivers for this model (VN7-791G). MS SQL DB installation specific steps for SAP system is clearly documented in SAP Installation guide. Please download from SMP, read it carefully and install as mentioned in the guide.

Hi! I can't upgrade my iTunes 10.3.1.55 on my Windows XP 2002 SP3 to the latest version of iTunes. Got the message: "A problem has occured with the Windows Installer-package. A program needed for this installation could not be run." What to do?
Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -

I'm trying to start a bootcamp installation of Windows 7 though an external monitor using HDMI. Is there anyway to have the installation screen show up on the external monitor? I get stuck at the beginning of the installation due to not being able to use my laptop's primary screen.

Unless you have a 2010 Mini Server model, your Mini has a built-in Optical drive (Mac mini (Mid 2010) - Technical Specifications).
Can you read the Windows Installer media when booted on OSX? Your DVD media may be corrupt.
If your Optical Drive is functional AND the Windows DVD is readable in OSX Finder, then your installer should work. You will need a USB2 for BC drivers as well. -
Bootcamp assistant doesn't restarts to the Windows installer. Macbook pro 13" (early 2015)
I'm trying to install windows 8.1 on my new macbook pro 2015, things are good until I got to the point after I chose the size of partition then mac restarts. It supposed to reboot to windows installer as described in step 4 below, but it boots into mac.
I was able to install the windows to my macbook air before without a problem, hope someone could suggest what I did wrong here.
Followed exact steps from here - How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support
1. Check System Requirements
Some versions of Windows require a certain processor, and more hard drive space and memory (RAM) than others. Check the documentation that came with your copy of Windows to find out what you need. Then use System Information to see what your Mac currently has.
2. Create a disk image of your Windows disc
When you purchase Windows, it either comes as a disk image file (ISO) or as an installation disc. If your copy of Windows came on a DVD, you should create a disk image of your installation disc.
3. Open Boot Camp Assistant
Boot Camp Assistant walks you through installing Windows on your Mac. Open this app from the Utilities folder in the Applications folder and follow the onscreen instructions to automatically repartition your startup disk and download related software drivers for Windows. When prompted, connect your USB flash drive.
4. Format your Windows partition
When you complete the assistant, your Mac restarts to the Windows installer. When you're asked where you want to install Windows, select the BOOTCAMP partition, then click Format.
5. Install Windows
Follow the onscreen prompts to finish your Windows installation.
6. Restart your computer
After Windows is installed, you can switch between OS X and Windows. Use the Startup Disk preference pane in OS X, or the Boot Camp system tray item in Windows to select your startup disk, then restart your computerOk, I finally got the problem solved. It didn't mention anywhere that I have to restart and holding down the 'option' key, then go to EFI boot... hope it'll help someone with the same issue.

iTunes won't upgrade to10.5. I'm on 10.1.17.
When installing 10.5 it terminates with an error message "There is a problem with the Windows installer package. Contact the package vendor".
It does not provide an error code or details/description to further troubleshoot. As a result I can't upgrade my Apple devices to leverage the cloud.
Any smarts out there who could help?

Thanks muchI know there's a million threads like this, but I thought I'd record my experience. I, too, was having the original poster's error when I tried to update iTunes on Windows XP. I think I was stuck on 10.
I solved it by un-installing iTunes and every other Apple app. I discovered that Apple Software Update would not un-install as its MSI file could not be found. I used the "Windows Install Cleanup" tool from Microsoft to remove Apple Software Update from the list of installed programs. Google "kb290301" for a Microsoft page that includes a download link for it. After that, I was able to install a fresh copy of iTunes 10.5.2.
I'm not sure why this app's folder and MSI were missing from my computer. I had once used Laplink PC Mover to move everything from my old computer to this one, and perhaps it missed a bit. -

Issues installing iTunes for Windows

Make sure you have an administrator account.

Install the latest Microsoft Windows updates.

Restart your computer.
Install iTunes.

According to your description, could you please post the summary and detail logs for further analysis? By default, the logs can be found in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log.
Usually, the error occurs when the Windows Installer Service is not running or the Windows Installer registry settings are corrupted. I recommend you reset the Windows Installer Service settings in the registry and restart the Windows Installer Service,
then reinstall SQL Server 2008 R2. For more details, please review this similar

I have a brand new HP laptop windows 64bit that is having issues installing Itunes 10.6.3. Whenever attempting to install, I get the error message : "THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE WINDOWS INSTALLER PACKAGE. I have tried extracting the itunes package and installing the executables seperately, but everytime the error stil arises. I cannot repair the apple software update as it cannot install from the error mentioned above. Looking through the logs, it shows error : 1721, problem with windows installer package.Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try?

While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that. -

I have insert the windows 7 disc as the instruction. Every things go fine at the starting, until the part that need to select the harddisk partition to install the windows.Even I have formatted the harddisk in the window installer, I can't continue my installation. I'm having the same problem. Yes, I followed the instructions completely all the way through clicking Format under advanced options for the BOOTCAMP partition. It appears to format it correctly, but when I click Next, I get the message "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition."
I read in the forums that I should unplug the USB drive. I tried that and instead, get the following message:
"Windows is unable to install to the selected location. Error: 0x80300001"
I have a new Retina display running Mountain LIon and the latest of everything. I tried installing both Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 ISO and Windows 7 Pro SP1 ISO, both downloaded from Microsoft. I am booting from a 32GB USB3 drive. I used Boot Camp Assistant for everything.
I removed my old Windows XP VM from Parallels, wiping everything. The only other thing I can think of is that my MacOS is connected to Time Machine, but MacOS is not running while Windows is trying to install itself.

When your username includes a Charakter like "acson te graf" zhere is a Problem for Windows to find your installiert-Files. Yust Build another Username like "Dummy", give admistration rights, change to this user and install iTunes on this accout. Now you can Return to your Old account an use iTunes.
I am still surching how to change the username in Windows but still no idea. -
