The worst thing happened...
I live in Canada, and am currently travelling in Israel for 6 months. I put my Bell phone contract on hold while I am abroad, but I still had my Iphone 4 with me for pictures and wifi. It was stolen last week at a bus station. It is currently on airplane mode, and not hooked up to any provider. I don't have any warranty besides the one that comes with the phone. Is there any way I can track my phone? If I buy any kind of insurance now will it cover the theft? Should i contact apple or my service provider? Any advice will be appreciated.
Really not much you can do. In airplane mode, there is no network connection to ping the iPhone or have it talk back to the iCloud server, so find my iPhone will not work (assuming it was set up BEFORE this). Without a data connection there is no way to remotely do anything to it or even find it.
Here in the USA, cell service providers do not offer any sort of tracking services, IMEI blacklisting or such things, but I have no idea about Canadian providers in general, nor Bell specifically, so you should ask them. There is no point contacting Apple, as they have nothing to do with lost or stolen items.
As far as insurance, to my knowledge, buying insurance to cover an event that has already happened is usually classified as fraud, so I cannot see any options along those lines. However, you may already be covered under your home owners or rental or some other policy you have, so check those to see if they cover personal items while traveling.
And of course, be sure to change passwords for sites/accounts you ever accessed from the phone. Was it passcode locked at least?
Sorry, but there just is not a whole lot that you can do other than account damage control.

I have an MacBook Pro 10.6, using disk utility I tried to verify my disk, but it came up with the message, please use your start up disk, I tried this, starting the computer up and pressing C, but it ejected the disk, the same thing happened while I running the computer. Is the hard drive damaged as laptop doesn't seem to recognize the start up disk ? If so, I presume I will have to put in a new one.
There haven't been any problems with the computer, apart from a sticky curser,I have run a permissions programme from disk utility, there were a lot of different ones, but it seem to be able to fix them.
Any comments or ideas ?

Next to startup from the disk, have it inserted, hold c or option/alt (wired or built in keyboard) and then boot the computer and or select the disk when it appears and click the arrow.
Disk Utility is under the Utilities menu on the second screen.

If you used the wrong 10.6 disk, it will spit it out or have issues, use the one that came with that machine or if it's defective, call Apple for a new one. -
I'm attempting to sync several albums from itunes to iphoto. When select to sync all albums it copies over the previous recorded album. I tried to sync the Albums individually and the same thing happens. Any ideas on how to sync my albums?

I try to redeem an iTunes GC and I get a "Session Has Timed Out" Message. The same thing happens when I try to download a song, after I'm taken to the SLA page. I sent Apple Support an email. They told me its software on my computer restricting access to my Internet Connection, but I haven't installed any new software since my last purchase from the iTunes Store. What can I do to fix this?!?! Thanks

With each new version of Firefox, I run into the same issue with Amazon.ca (amazon.com works fine). For instance, on Amazon.COM the links for my account and help are stated as "Your Account | Help". On amazon.CA the links for my account and help are stated as "your-account_279 | topnav-help_1057".
When I log into my account on Amazon.COM I have a web page with text and buttons and links. all functioning. When I log into my account on Amazon.CA I get nothing except two orange buttons - "Your Orders" and "sell my stuff". everything else is blank.
This has happened with each upgrade of Firefox. It seems that Amazon.CA finally gets their coding right and FF comes out with a new version which then screws the website up. are you making your upgrades available to Amazon.CA?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

My iPad has a white screen after trying to restore. I try and restore again and the same thing happens and we are back at the white screen. How can I get it back?

You are seeing the message because the new AirPort Extreme has some specific System Requirements:

Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and AirPort Utility 6.3
AirPort Utility 5.6.1 in Snow Leopard may or may not work correctly with the new Extreme for all functions. As long as things are working OK for now, you can probably leave them "as is" and wait for another Mavericks update to fix some issues before you "upgrade".
If you have an iPhone or iPad, you could use that to administer any settings changes on the new Extreme. -
When I go to download tunes and/or music videos, each attempt concludes with a "Session Timed Out" message, asking me to "try again." I do -- and the same thing happens.

My iphone safari history, my 'reading list' shows visits and sites that I have never frequented. A few months back the same thing happened with my youtube history.
My phone is pass protected, and its just me using it, phone with me all the time. any ideas?

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

When I sign on to Safari, Aol appears with streaming adware. The same thing happens when I use Google Chrome and sign on to Aol mail. Is there anyway I can block ads and prevent safari from directing me to AOL without requesting it? I have A MacPro, Yosemite (10.10.2). Thank you

I have several layers for my image: Background, Moon, Tree, Grass and Clouds. When I try to use the Move tool to move the Moon, the tool jumps to the Tree layer. The same thing happens with the other layers as well (except the background layer). How can I keep the move tool from jumpimg to the Tree layer?
1. Pre-select (highlight) the layer to move in the Layers panel. or-
2. [ALT+Right mouse click] to select the wanted layer in the image window.

3. Set the PS option to "Auto-select" a layer with cursor hover. (can be very confusing!) -
Macbook Pro:
When I raise the lid after sleeping, the screen comes on momentarily then backs out. If I close the lid and raise it again, the same thing happens. It is sometimes necessary to force quit. Once restarted, there is no problem unless the lid is closed for a short time and the machinge goes to sleep.
