• Recently, i seem to have problems with a script that crashes my firefox 5. when i can get a "stop Script message, i get this :" Script: chrome://tabmixplus/content/tab/tab.js:561"

i have the tabmixplus 0.3.8.6 extension and i had firefox 4 a few weeks ago and never had a problem.
windows 7 ultimate edition
java update 6.0.26

that was useful. i tried to google the error, but the official extension forum did not show up at that time...it was listed, it seems to be a tabmix plus with colorful tabs error....i have disabled colorful tabs, cause its less useful than tabmix. thanks again for the help.

• LOV gives "Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.Key" error.

Hello,
I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3. I have created 2 VO's which are related to the same EO. In one of the views i added a list of value (combo box with list of values) to an attribute. In my page, i'm using the first view that doesn't have the LOV. Also in my page there is a button with a popup in which i'm using the second VO to list the values of the attributes and filter a table (which is also in the popup). Initially, when i press this button all rows are viewed in the table in the popup. However, when i try to filter the table using the LOV i'm getting an error:
Too many objects match the primary key oracle.jbo.KeyAny ideas?
Mohamed

Hello again,
Thank you all for your reply! I solved my problem. Apparently it wasn't a problem with duplicate data nor wrong primary key! I was implementing the LOV approach wrong. I was creating a 'List of Value' in my VO and dragging the attribute from data control as 'Select one Choice'. I was doing this because i thought i had to declare a type before i can use it in my data control. As i concluded, i should either create it in my VO and not use the default SOC option. Or, i could not create a LOV and use the default JDeveloper SOC option.
Thanks again for your help.
Mohamed.

• I can't open Firefox, it gives me Warning: Unresponsive Script,

Every time I try to open it gives me the Unresponsive Script Warning, the script is 'Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623'
If I press Stop Script, it comes back after 2 seconds, if I press Continue, it comes back later as well. Only when I check 'dont ask me again' and press continue does it not come back, but it takes up to 99% of my CPU.
It even comes up when I try to start FireFox in safe mode.
How do I get past the warning, and actually be able to use Firefox?

You need to uninstall or disable Personas Plus 1.6, it is causing similar problems for quite a few people.
Start Firefox in safe mode, you can then access the add-ons manager and uninstall or disable Persona Plus 1.6
For details on doing the above see the safe mode article. There are more details on uninstalling add-ons via safe mode in the Cannot uninstall an add-on article. That article also shows how to manually remove add-ons.

• Sending to local user gives too many hops

I have set up Mavericks server for mail. Works perfectly for incoming and outgoing mail to other domains but fails when trying to send mail to a local user. Here are my settings:
example.com is my primary domain, it provides DNS and Mail service
there are other domains being hosted (web) with example.com providing mail service for them.
Mail Server setting under "Provide Mails for...": Domain Name is example.com, Virtual domains: myotherdomain.com, example.com (included in list, is this correct?), and some more
DNS settings: each domain has a machine record for the domain name (e.g. example.com has an A record, myotherdomain.com has its own A record), each domain has an MX pointing to example.com. Domain example.com has an alias (CNAME) record mail.example.com pointing to example.com. This is the only place where the name mail.example.com appears in the whole server.
Last night I tried to reply to a mail I received from a user on myotherdomain.com. My receiving account is also on myotherdomain.com (myotherdomain.com is one of my domains with MX pointing to example.com). When I simply hit reply the mail server eventually reported back that the mail was not delivered due to too many hops.
Here are the headers from the mail I received. I simply hit reply and got the too many hops. WHY?

Invoke the following diagnostic by launching Terminal.app from Applications > Utilities and see if there are any network or DNS issues reported:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
Also post the internal and external DNS translations of the following:
dig +short miniserver.example.com
dig +short mail.example.com
dig +short MX myotherdomain.com
dig +short MX example.com
dig +short @8.8.8.8 miniserver.example.com
dig +short @8.8.8.8 mail.example.com
dig +short MX @8.8.8.8 myotherdomain.com
dig +short MX @8.8.8.8 example.com
I'd look for a bogus or missing MX record for myotherdomain.com, to start with.
FWIW, myotherdomain.com is a real and registered domain.    Probably not yours, I'm guessing.  The example.net and example.org domains are also available for obfuscation, in addition to the example.com domain.

• Firefox is often "unresponsive";what is 'unresponsive script?why is firefox so SLOW in response to my site requests?

A friend installed Mozilla Firefox for me about 3 months ago to replace Kaspersky which always slowed my computer responses. Now Firefox is slow at responding to looking for my e-mail, at searching for info, and often the message"NOT RESPONDING" following Mozilla Firefox and nothing happens for several minutes. Also, "Unresponsive Script" comes up with the option to cancel or continue--what is "Script" and "WHY"? I have Windows 7 and anE-Machines modem. Also, I am told often that my Anti-Virus is out-of-date even tho' I have it set to update daily at 11:00 pm and I am sure to have the computer ON from 11 to 12 PM each night. How do I fix this? I am a computer 'dummie' and don't understand all the terms and phrases used, but I try. Please help.
Thanks,
Pierre Pawlak

Unfortunately Firefox 6 is not as good as it should be.
I recommend you to use latest version of Firefox 3.6.x ,cause it's long release but fire fox 4 , 5 and 6 are short releases and not as good as they should be.

• Why have I begun I receiving so many unresponsive script messages with firefox?

In the last 3 months I have begun receiving unresponsive script notices all the time.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See Troubleshooting extensions and themes and Troubleshooting plugins

• I am now getting unresponsive script that locks up my computer. It takes forever to shut it down. help

I have just started getting this message over the last couple of weeks. Often when I haven't used the computer for a while and I try to, I get this unresponsive script message and I have to do control-alt-delete for about 5 minutes to get everything to shut down. It has never done this before. It first started doing this when I downloaded Mozilla 4.0 Beta. I thought that I had gotten rid of 4.0 Beta and gone back to 3.6. Why can't I stop this? When I tried to reload 3.5, it had me upload 3.6.

Mention of Time Warner, leads me to think you could have AOL as your ISP, I am not sure; but seem to recall years ago AOL seemed to prefer you to use its own modified browser.
There is a possibility the particular site or ISP may be part of your problem. Is your problem specifically that deleting AOL webmail addresses may cause the unresponsive script/hang. The workaround in that case may be to fall back on using IE for that particular task. It may be interesting to know if many other users have a similar problem, it could even be worth starting a thread with that problem as the title. [ or maybe that is already a known problem I have not looked around the board in detail]
Another thought is that if you are intensively deleting bookmarks that may be part of a known issue as per the link in my last post. There is a additional information in : If you are deleting (or presumably moving/copying large chunks also) bookmarks part of the advice is to make changes in small steps.

• Unresponsive Script errors popups in Firefox 14.01

Since upgrading from Firefox 13.01 to 14.01, Firefox is taking a long time to launch and I am receiving multiple unresonsive script error popups when it tries to launch. I have the same extensions installed that I had in 13.01 and all are compatible with 14.01. Again this issue ONLY started when upgrading to 14.01. I have tried to determine what extension is the problem and turn it off, however when I launch Firefox again, another unresonsive script error popup occurs with a different extension. I'll remove that one and it popups again about a another different one. This is crazy! I have even tried a complete clean install, with no luck. What is the problem?

I use Roboform and the first unresponsive script error popup is about Roboform. Their tech support just emailed me about an hour ago and ask if I had Trusteer Rapport installed on my system (https://www.trusteer.com/product/trusteer-rapport) and I said yes. They instructed me to Stop Rapport, which is a setting Rapport has, and relaunch Firefox 14.01 and see if the unresponsive script error popup returns and it did not! They then told me to do a complete uninstall (all user settings) and re-download Trusteer Rapport from their website and install again and see if the unresponsive script error popup returns. They said it should not. However after doing a clean reinstall of Trusteer Rapport, however the popups came back :(
I emailed Trusteer about this issue and I am waiting for a response. Roboform tech support responded after I told them it did not work by saying only that they are aware of the issue with Trusteer Rapport with nothing more said in their email.
I only know that Trusteer Rapport is a MUST HAVE security software and I have had it for years and it has never caused problems and that the version of Roboform I have is current and was the SAME version that was installed when using Firefox 13.01 and Roboform did not cause these popups in 13.01
So, this evening, I did another clean uninstall of Trusteer Rapport AND a clean uninstall of Roboform and relaunched Firefox 14.01 and the only unresponsive script error popups where from another add-on extension called WorldIP. No other popups occurred.
With that being said, I can say that Firefox 14.01 is causing issues and this needs to be fixed asap.
Thoughts?

• Unresponsive script routine crashes FF 3.6.8

In the past few days I've been getting these unresponsive script errors. When the message pops up it freezes/crashes FF. Any response to the script dialog box is not actionable.
Before you tell me to this or that here is what I have done ..
uninstall/reinstall FF
run in safe mode
uninstall/reinstall Flash
uninstalled problem plug ins such as Google toolbar
I increased the script time setting to 20, from 10
None of this makes any difference. I still get unresponsive script errors and every time they freeze and crash FF.
My machine is particularly "clean" and also during these problems I have scandisked and defragged.
There are two problems at work here .. first there is something that is making the scripts run slower in this version. Second there is a bug in the unresponsive script routine that freezes/crashes FF.
BTW, every time this occurs my memory use spikes to over a gig. I have submitted crash reports, etc. This is beyond frustrating, and a new phenomenon to me, a loooong time user of FF.

• Workaround Site for too many Bugs in Dreamweaver

I am using Dreamweaver Software since 1996 and I must say
that I am very unhappy with 8(.02). I did not buy 2004 MX as I have
been reading about all the bugs in Forums. But I did not want to be
back to far and upgraded from very good working 4 -> 8. Still
regular functions a Webdesign Company needs daily are not working
properly. I think that Adobe themselfes do not use Dreamweaver -
they would already have busted the bugs month ago.
I have been writing again and again. But only 1 time I
received an answer - all the other messages about missing features
like choose a profile in the dropdown menue with the letter (which
is very needfull if you have 400 projects). Broken links are not
getting repaired without busting Dreamweaver ...
Only one Computer is now working with Dreamweaver 8 - all the
others will remain Dreamweaver 4. I am not willed to pay only for a
nicer look of the software and less comfort and stability.
Do you agree?
Thanks, Michael

You have 400 sites listed in the site dropdown list? Or maybe
I am not
understanding what you mean by "project". I'll be honest with
you,
scrolling that list is all I've ever done since I started
with DW2.
> 2. (STRG F8) If I repair the broken Links of a project
and I get a wrong
> link
> 10 times I can repair it. If the broken link check only
shows up 1 broken
> link

makes lot of fun when
> you
> have 8 single broken links cause this means that
Dreamweaver has to be
> crashed
> 8 times.
I have never had Dreamweaver crash on a broken link check.
Nor can I
reproduce that in a test I just performed.
> 3. (STRG F8) If I want to repair the links only of a
specific tree or
> files -
> the whole project is being changed and not only the
selected.
I assume you have use "Selected Folders" for this - again, I
cannot
reproduce your finding. Selected folder selections have
always worked as
expected for me.
> 4. (STRG F) If I want to change content only of a
specific tree or files -

Again, I cannot reproduce this.

Sorry - I don't know what this means.

• Thunderbird: Search term entered is auto-corrected, gives too many (wrong) results

Trying to find email messages from Lowe's Home Improvement (lowes.com), entered "lowes" (with or without quotes) in the search field, which returned 1200+ emails containing the word "low" (without the quotes). There doesn't seem to be a way to force search to use the precise spelling, and not incorrectly auto-correct my entry.
Am I missing something?

Using the Quick Filter Toolbar was an improvement, but I still get results (92 of them) that aren't properly filtered. Specifically, when I enter lowes (with a space following the s) I get all instances of lowest. Putting a space at the end of the search term should limit the results to instances where the word is, or ends with, "lowes", as the space should indicate the end of that word in the search term.
I'd understand if the search tools still need some refinement, but if Thunderbird search is actually designed to ignore or modify specific search terms in this matter, then we have a problem...
