Theme compatibility between Theme 12 in APEX 3.2 & new 4.0 themes

We have successfully upgraded a development environment to 4.0.1. The application we upgraded uses theme 12 from APEX 3.2. Most of our users are still using IE 6 so we are limited in the new themes we can choose because they must also be compatible with IE 6.
Can anyone suggest which of the 5 IE 6 compatible themes in APEX 4.0 would be most closely matched to the old theme 12 from APEX 3.2? The fewest changes the better on this first go round.

You can upgrade your application to APEX 4.0 but continue to use the existing theme. The theme is packaged with your app: if the app used theme 12 from APEX 3.2 that theme should still be there and you should be able to continue using it.
Has the upgrade process actually switched your application to one of the new themes? Although I haven't upgraded an installation myself yet (decided to wait for 4.0.1 patch) I wouldn't expect this: my apps on apex.oracle.com retain the themes they had on 3.2.
If for whatever reason theme 12 from 3.2 is not available in your app, then do a theme export from a 3.2 installation and import it into your app (though it won't import as theme 12). It can also be added to the repository so you can easily continue to use it for new apps (though I think your time would be better spent upgrading from IE6).

"Virtually the same" simply means that the only changes that may have taken place between the time I exported from 1.6 / imported into 3.1.2 and now wouldn't have any impact on this situation. They're changes such as a temporary change on the 1.6 version to a temporary reports server while we rebuild the current reports server. I haven't made any changes to the imported app yet.Except that you jumped about 8 releases between export and import. I would hope that theme 10 wasn't change significantly between then and now.
I'll look into the web developer toolbar for Firefox. Thanks for that tip.
I am using whatever css files were installed with the new Oracle DB and ApEx install/patchset/upgrade. I'm guessing that the "t10ContentBody" selector is still the one being referenced by the pages. I suppose the web developer toolbar would help me confirm this.So you edited the CSS file from the new installation to try to accomplish this change? I'm wondering if you might not have edited the wrong file.
You can see what CSS selector is going to attempt to be used by looking at the class names in the HTML elements. In the CSS file they will be preceded with a dot, e.g. .t10ContentBody or whatever the case may be. While the developer toolbar allows you to zoom in to inspect the corresponding elements quickly you can also look at the HTML source to see what's going on under the hood.

Upgraded from 4.1 -> 4.2.
Change theme from slightly modified Green theme (in mine case 101 is number and original was 11, One level Tabs) to Theme 25 Blue Responsive.
Login page for instance doesn have "Login Region" for instance (not in LOV). And all pages are softly said strange.

Theme 24 Not Available in Apex 4

Hi,
Few months ago I had installed oracle 10g XE and apex 4 in my location machine and developed a application in this instance.
Today I installed oracle 11g XE and Apex 4 in server to move all the applications to server. But I am not able to see theme 24 in this installation.
Application which developed in theme24 is not getting supported and its not working need apex experts suggestion how to get theme 24 cloud.
I tried downloading and installing summer cloud them from apex.plugin.com but still this is not working. Need some suggestion to get this them on my new server.

In my local machine version shows Application Express 4.1.1.00.23, Which have theme 24New Installation which i made on server shows Application Express 4.1.0.00.32, Which does not have them 24

As per the Release Notes this theme was introduced in 4.1, there is no specific reference to minor release so I would have thought it would be in 4.1.0.x.
I have not tried this, but you could try exporting the theme from your 4.1.1.00.23 and import it into 4.1.0.00.32. If that works then you will also need to copy the theme24 folder under /i/themes across.
Patch for Apex 4.1.0 to 4.1.1 upgrade is available on support.oracle.com, if you have access to it. Else, remove existing 4.1.0.x and install 4.1.1.x.

are you a satisfied Firefox 4 Theme user? Are you happy with your current choice of theme? If you said yes then you should share this with the rest of because they all suck. If I'm lucky to find one I deem aesthetically pleasing I'm subjected to the "Not available for your platform' rejection.

Compatibility between Exchange 2007 service packs

Hi all, I have 5 servers Exchange:
- 3 Servers CAS and HUB
- 2 Servers Mailbox server in Microsoft Failover Cluster (MSCS)
Domain Controllers are all
Windows Server 2003 SP2
The versions of Exchange 2007 SP1 servers are all:
8.1 Build 240.6
I have thought about installing SP3 and RU13 in all 5 servers for Exchange, but I'm going to install SP3 and RU13 on 2 servers CAS / HUB and the following week at the other CAS / HUB server.
Finally, the following week in the two Mailbox Servers.
Is there any problem if I miss 2 servers CAS / HUB with SP3 RU13 and the other CAS / HUB in SP1, this will only be for a few days?
Is there any problem if I leave the servidors Mailbox Servers in SP1 while CAS / HUB are in SP3 RU13, this will only be for a few days?

Only thing you should be concerned is if you have CAS-CAS proxy or the Mailbox Cluster part.
Your current plan looks good. Just stay alert for any uncommon issues popping up, which would normally mean due to the difference.
If you upgrade your servers in this order, you may avoid potential service interruptions.
Details below:
Version Constrains are more of between roles of 2007-2010-2013 and not between same version SPs or RUs.

Our goal was to make these server roles autonomous units. Unfortunately, that goal did not materialize in either Exchange 2007 or Exchange 2010. The server roles were tightly coupled along four key dimensions:

I have some question about compatibility between java crypto and openssl library.
This is my case:
1.I created DESede key and stored it to file:

You have carefully left out some critical java code, namely the Cipher.getInstance() method. You'll notice in the documentation for this method that there 3 components to the "transform" argument of this method, the algorithm, the mode, and the padding. All of these must match exactly with the what openssl is using. Furthermore, if you are using one of the modes which require an IV, like CBC mode, then this must match exactly too. If you don't explicitly specify some of these parameters, you might get default values supplied. It is up to you to find out what these are.

then use "Restore Previous session:" and then restore all windows also from the history menu.
If done in this session try the restore all windows under the history menu.

Communication between TNS_Listener and Apex Listener

Dear all,
I how does the communication between TNS Listener, Apex Listener, and Apex? For some reason I got the following error from Apex listener:
Caused by: oracle.dbtools.rt.web.WebException: Unable to start the Universal Connection Pool: oracle.ucp.UniversalConnectionPoolException: Cannot get Connection from Datasource
Caused by: oracle.net.ns.NetException: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptorI truncated some of the Java object messages.
This occurred when I tried to connect to Apex. Then I can fix this by going to:
http://localhost:8080/apex/listenerConfigurethen, everything worked fine.

Hm, I'm not able to reproduce the error. There was one time when I started APEX Listener got:
java.net.BindException: Address already in use: 8080=com.sun.grizzly.http.SelectorThreadHandler@46d999aand when I did the netstat -a got:
root@firefly:~# netstat -apnl |grep 8080
tcp6       0      0 :::8080                 :::*                    LISTEN      4530/tnslsnr I had no idea what made 8080 tagged by the TNS listener, as I started it out before APEX Listener. Very curious how did this happen.
There was one time netstat -a showed me this (this happened after I stopped Apex Listener, stopped TNS Listener, shutdown the database, started database, started TNS Listener, and started Apex Listener):

I would like to free up some space on my computer and move my iphoto library to the time capsule and easily access it. Also, would I be able to access them via the TC if I purchased a new computer?

I am using my TC as an external hard drive, I would like to remove my photos from my computer to free up space. I'm wondering:
1. Once the photos are moved, how do I access them via the TC, AND will i still be able to print them and see them the way they were set up in my iphoto on the computer?
2. If I purchase a new computer, will I still be able to access them just as easily?
3. What is the process to move the photos to the TC?
I am afraid that if I "erase" them from my computer I will not be able to access them.

Are you still using iphoto?
If so you should NOT move the iphoto library to the TC and use it.
Apple says you will corrupt the library doing this.

Now what I cannot tell you is if the same rules apply to the new photo app. Apple might have fixed the problem.
For iphoto you should offload the photos to USB drive plugged into your computer.. or any external drive.. the faster the interface the better.
Apple have explicit instructions for moving the library.

At this time, there is no publicly available version of iTunes that is supported on Windows 8.
Only Apple knows when that will change.

I have seven(7) podcasts on my iPhone 4 that iTunes will not delete. iTunes copies them from the phone to the library and will not delete them from the phone when deleted from the library.

This happens to several of my podcasts whenever an updated iOS comes out. You can delete the episode directly from the phone by swiping it from left to right. That seems to fix the issue (they drop off the phone and dont reappear on iTunes). It's as if iTunes stops tracking the play count for some shows.

A process by the name of avgcmgr is loading the CPUs by up to 100 percent. At least 5 of them have appeared on the activity monitor. I've removed them with forced quit but they return! How do I permanently get rid of them? CPUA temp is now 194F.
