Theme Corrupted - Nokia 6303

I appreciate this may have been answered before but all the question seem to relate to download themes.
My problem is a little different.
After receiving a text from a friend (one of many that day) my phone seemed to power down as I opened the text.
When I turned it back on again it asked me if I wanted to delete an application which was no longer working. Obviously I said no at this point. It loaded the main screen, but without my backdrop picture, so I turned off and on again.
Now I constantly have flashing an info screen, "Unable to open. Theme Corrupted"
If you click the menu button a couple of times it stops doing this but you cannot use the menu button to bring up the usual mail, text, settings options on the screen, it seems to just become a dead button.
I can send texts via the shortcuts (message comes up cannot save after sent), but cannot receive texts. The internet is inaccessable, as is the diary, the text menu, in fact all the menus seem gone. I can still call and receive calls but everything else seems broken.

Unfortunately without that code there's little else we can try. Nokia set it to 12345 so at some stage it has been changed, possibly before you even got it.
One last thing to try is to update the phone (or reinstall the firmware) using the nokia software updater.

Why don't you uninstall the Currupted themes... ? You may do so using the PC Suite or Applications manager..

Nokia 6303 Classic Displays CALL only instead of c...

I've an orange sim card and this seems to be only happening with this network.
I do not know who is calling me. The display shows "call" even though the number of the person that is calling me is on my contact list. This happens with all numbers.
Strangely, it knows if I am calling out, and if someone texts me.
Does anyone know anyway around it?? I've gone to settings/Display and checked the Notification details, This was already set to "show" which is fine but this still doesn't even work.
I've even updated this to V10.10 of the Nokia 6303 Classic firmware. CALL still is appearing even after the update.

Nonetheless, this is a common problem with Orange. I suggest calling them. They should be able to update your SIM over-the-air and it'll sort the problem out.

Nokia 6303 restart after deleting photo + media pl...

I have a problem with a nokia 6303.
After taking a photo and deleting it -> I pressed options and the phone restarted
Is it a software bug? or?
At the Menu media.. if I go to the Media player and there is no song "preloaded"
(ie a previous listened) the media player stucks.. the phone has to be restarted
to be able to play music again. This seems like a sofware but... I hope it will be fixed soon.
Also the phone makes a background noise when the screen is light up

Photo Problem: When you opened the picture and then deleted it , the picture was still in memory and when the menu tried to go back one step the picture was no longer there so reset the phone. Bug? Don't know, I would suggest that if you want to delete files do so in list view not whilst viewing the file you want to delete. If you tried to do this in windows it would give you an error messaeg something like "this file is in use"
Media PLayer Problem: This could be down to Software, it could also be down to a memory card read error.
Try taking card out and using a memory card reader check that all files are readable. If one of the files is corrupt the media player may be trying to look for files to add to playlist and when it gets to the corrupt one bombs out.

Nokia 6303 earpiece volume fluctuates during a cal...

Hi there
Sometimes when I get a call on my nokia 6303 phone and answer it normally through earpiece (not on speaker), I can barely hear the other person speaking. I thought that perhaps they were just not speaking properly into their phone their end but happens quite frequently now.
Sometimes I have to ask them to call back as they are barely audible and other times, during the call after some time the volume will suddenly jump up and you can hear them normally. (Earpiece volume is set on max though dont tihnk this has anything to do with that)
Anyone know why this might be or how to fix it?

If this is an intermittent problem, signal attenuation or loss may be the culprit, and the problem can be resolved by just moving your position where there are no walls or interference to get a better signal. If this is not the case, you may try to perform a power reset, that is, turning off the phone, removing the battery for a couple of minutes (2 minutes), the inserting the battery back and turning on the phone.

"Out of Memory" Nokia 6303

Hi, my friend has just received his Nokia 6303. He has copied over his contacts, but is receiving an "out of memory" message when trying to assign a photo to a contact. He has 2gb micro SD card installed, and also receives this message when he removes the card and re-inserts it.
He can however browse any files that are on the card.

adress book is held in phone memory. So it doesn't matter how much Sd card space is free.
You can check this: go to contacts, in the settings you can select whether phone, sim or phone+sim are used to store addresses. No entry for memory cards...

How can I copy the SMS from my Nokia 6303 to a Sam...

Hello everybody!
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini...and I find such a pity to lose all the SMS that I had in my Nokia 6303. The new phone is sim-locked so unfortunately I cannot copy the SMS that way.
Does anyone know if there is a possibility to move the SMS from one phone to the other?

Hi, olgadapolga. For the SMS that you do not want to lose, you can create a backup on your PC using this link: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ph/mobile/support/nokia-suite-compatibility/. Note that this link will work regardless of your location. About transferring SMS to another phone, see if there's an option on your Nokia 6303 to create a backup on an SD card. If so, you can proceed with backing up your SMS. Try inserting the SD card in your other phone and check for restoring option. However, if restore is not available there is a possibility that the other phone doesn't support the backed up messages file format. For added assistance, feel free to post it here.

Nokia 6303 c troubleshooting

Hello. I got this Nokia 6303 classic phone, for like 2 years and kept it up-to-date all the time. 5 or 6 months ago my telephone began to restart out of the blue. But it does not look like a common restart. The display suddenly blacks out and only if I press any key, the screen is first white and then my common desktop shows up (there is no PIN request), but no signal too, in the first place. In like 15 secs since the blackout I have signal and I can use my phone. Can anybody tell me what is wrong with my Nokia?

Have you checked for a software update recently?
Have you much memory free
Try empty out things you dont need such as messages and photos etc

I just bought Nokia 6303 classic and contacted my provider for enabling gprs on the phone, and I received and installed the configuration by sms. While these settings work just fine with the phone's browser, Opera Mini and all other apps can't connect to the internet. What should I do to fix this?

How to insert numbers i sms, nokia 6303 Classic

I used to have the Nokia 6300. When writing an sms it was possible to "insert number" when choosing Options. Where is that option in the Nokia 6303 Classic? It is often one need to insert a number in a text message so it ought to be simple?

How do you know which solution the OP as asking for? Pressing and holding the key is more convenient for inputting short numbers because it takes as long to change the keypad mode from alphabetical to numbers and back again.
The solution you require is even easier, press the * key and select number mode but you have to switch back to alpha mode once you are done.
You could try Adobe Reader LE. V 1.5 is free 2.5 you have to pay for. It thought V1.5 comes with all S60 Nokias. If it does not then try looking for it at the www.adobe.com

AT commands were used with analog modems to change modem settings and perform actions. What is it you are trying to accomplish?
If you are trying to use your phone as a modem to your PC you do not need these commands. When you install PC suite on your PC you can use the 'Connect to the internet' function in PC suite.

are there any available audio themes for nokia 5320. I installed the "nokia hip-hop audio theme from their website but i cannot find it listed in the themes.

I have purchased a Nokia 6303 Classic (RM-443) with Firmware version of 10.12. with Dated 08.04.2010 (is there new firmware available).? My PC is running Windows Vista Ultimate with Nokia PC Suite 7.1.30.9. PC Suite detects the phone OK, but when I open Nokia Communication Centre and clicks the "Contacts" button all my contacts are visible for a second before they disappear. Then the following message displays: "Updating contacts failed. Ensure your phone is in the idle state, then try again........ Again and Again
Please Help me about this troubleshooting ,,,, I believe my phone is in the "idle state". The general profile is selected and PC Suite USB connection is selected. What can be wrong? Is PC suite not compatible with Windows Vista Ultimate,,, yet? I also wonder whether it is possible to synchronize data between the phone and Windows Live Mail with PC Suite.

Isn't this the same as setting "light Effects=On" in the settings? Mine "breathes" away happily after a missed call.
