Theme editor and especific wd theme problems

Hi, my problem is this.
Hi have one WD application that has have a different theme from the EP.
I downloaded the SP13 Theme editor and then uploaded the new theme to the server wd theme folder.
Using the sap-cssurl parameter when calling the wd applicaction to apply the theme its working with the standars themes (sap_chrome, sap_tradeshow, etc) but when I try to use my custom theme the dropdowncomboboxs are not opening and their values apear separately as a list. Also table footer is displaying without an style at all.
I read the note 779659 and I already tryed to change the default theme property using my custom theme but result is the same.
Can anyone give me some help?
Here's some images so you can have a better idea of the problem.
Standard theme(I changed it's name to xsap_tradeshow to make some tests)

Custom theme (the table footer arrows disaperead too)

hi
if you are using EP 7.0 , you may have go to Visual ADMIN , in the configuration adapter , there
is PropertyStyleSHeet , there is you can find webdynpro property ,
Re: Trouble with Appplication after modifying WebDynpro Theme
you can go through this thread ,  if you are using CE 7.1 you have to navigate to NWA
configuration management , infrastructure , application modules , tp~wdpa ,  search for this
and then  in the properties you have provide the Custom theme name you have created .

  • Theme Editor  and CSS files

    Hi all,
    NetWeaver Portal 2004 SP16
For those of you who have worked with the Theme Editor probably feel the same way as I do: it's just not good enough. It allows you to change some styles but really for real changes one has to edit the million stylesheets manually.
When going down that road, the Theme Editor becomes useless because it overwrites your manually applied changes.
As long as you reapply your changes afterwards, this works pretty good but I'm still confused about one thing. The stylesheets that are actually called from the webpage are followed by some sort of counter. For example:
../prtl_std/prtl_std_ie6.css?6.0.16.0.31 The last number increases everytime you save a theme in the Theme Editor, so it acts as a version numner (see themeInfo.properties).
And now the annoying part: this <u>sometimes</u> prevents my manual changes to be read (one can check this by inspecting the css files in browser cache).
My question: what does this counter do? Are themes also stored in the PCD / database and if so where? What can be done to have the portal ALWAYS push the css files from the irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.portaldesigndata/themes/portal directory?
    Cheers
    Marcel

The counter works with the database. It is actually possible to edit other (no visible) style sheet classes via the Theme Editor

  • Theme Editor and pageToolBar

    Hello,
Can we change the look and feel of the Page Tiltle Bar (com.sap.portal.pageToolbar) with the Theme Editor ?
    Thanks,

    HI,
portal masthead is an element that can be edited
Theme editor can be used to edit basic masthead properties such as fonts, colors and images. To edit the look and feel of the masthead create a new theme.
To create a new theme go to sys admin->portal display -> theme editor.in the theme editor.
To change where the links are present the name of the links etc cppy the par file from the location and modify it.
The HeaderiView.jsp contains the masthead users see when they are in the portal.
The default par is in /usr/sap/<instance>/j2ee/j2ee_00/cluster/service/services/servlet_jsp/work/WEB-INF/deployment/pcd and fin com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par.bak

  • Tabbed navigation,Theme change and User define templates problem

    Hi,
    ·     I have created an application in which I have defined many page, page regions, buttons, forms templates myself.
    ·     The end user has now requested for a tabbed look and feel for the same and that too in a different theme (color red)
    ·     However, inclusion of tabs to the application plus a change in the theme color (to red) in this case causes all user defined templates to behave erratically.
    ·     I guess these templates will have to be redefined in this new theme. I tried to copy some of these today but got weird results.
Without all these templates in place the look and feel of the application will not be as usual.
    ·     Also,I had posted a thread on the APEX forums concerning tabs and have received information that each page in the application has to be manually added to the tab set in a situation such as this. This will really increase the time taken to achieve the desired application navigation.
I would appreciate some good advice as how to get this appliction navigation running smoothly in a tabbed format in the least possible time.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Priya Jetley

    Hello,
I would have a look at the Lists in Shared Components which allow you to create Tabs as well.
They are a bit more flexible.

  • I installed the latest version of Firefox (7.0.1) on my Windows XP desktop and the install placed 3 firefox icons on my desktop: none of them work and none of them can be deleted(!)

In properties it says they are not valid shortcuts; when I try to delete it says "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk" what to do.... Is it possible to go back to a previous version? I was so happy with the previous version - I only installed the latest version because I was in Dreamweaver (the first time literally in years) and I wanted to view an .htm file in firefox, and when I selected that option, firefox automatically did a bunch of stuff I don't understand, but it seemed to me that what happened automatically was that a beta version of Firefox was installed, and I was prompted to select Firefox as the default browser (it has been my default browser forever, not sure how it was all of a sudden not my default browser)... anyway I thought that I could rid myself of the beta version and return to normalacy if I installed the latest version. Now I have these three invalid icons to deal with. Any help you can offer will be very much appreciated. It would make me very happy if I could delete the invalid icons from my desktop, or at least hide them from view somehow. I created a folder on the desktop, and tried to put them into it, but that didn't work.

  • Problem in Link size changes in theme editor of NWDS

    Hello All,
We have created a theme in theme editor and the link size has to be matched with the given specifications.
When trying to change the link size using Link Property - Standard Font Size to xsmall or any value such as 0.8 em, it is applied to all the other texts but not the links. Links are always in a slightly bigger font size.
Please note that the links which are under consideration are within a table.
The links outside the table are coming properly.
Please help us find a solution for this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Radhika

    Hi Radhika,
There is two properties in Global Style Sheets area
    1. Base Font size.--> it is under common
    2. standard Font size.---> it is under Text in GSS
if you change the Base Font size to X Small / XX Small the link size will be reduced but it will reduce the other UI element font
size as well to overcome this( increase the other UI elements size) problem you have to increase the Standard Font size upto
the requied font size is came to other UI elements.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bhargava.

  • Error while importing theme created with Eclipse theme editor

    Hi,
I am facing an error when I try to import a theme I created using the Eclipse Theme Editor plug-in. I created a theme and exported it. Then  when I try to import it, I get the error that "its.zip was not found in the archive". I check the exported zip file for theme and I see that there is only one zip file inside it "portal.zip". But if I export a theme from the portal, I get three zip files inside the archive - portal.zip, its.zip and ur.zip.
Can't I use the theme I created using the plug-in in portal? Are they meant to be used in some other context? Or is there any setting to be done on the plug-in to make it generate the zip files  - its and ur ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Ranjith

    Hi,
It is used to brand webdynpro. and its a stand alone tool.. no need of any plug ins....
This is the description I found under eclipse theme editor. its totally related to webdynpro.
SAP presents applications to users in the SAP Enterprise Portal (SAP EP). You can change user interface themes with the "Portal Theme Editor" that is part of the Enterprise System Administration role.
As some customers do not have the version of SAP Enterprise Portal that includes this Theme Editor , this version of the Theme Editor is offered as an unsupported, standalone tool from SDN.
The Eclipse Theme Editor can be used to brand Web Dynpro.
Comments and questions: Please use the Web Dynpro forum. Problems regarding the Eclipse Theme Editor reported via OSS will not be handled. As the tool comes as an unsupported version, bug fixes cannot be guaranteed in a timely fashion.
Release information: The Eclipse Theme Editor will be released for each SAP NetWeaver stack. Please note that you can only use the Theme Editor version compatible with the same version Web Dynpro (for example, the SAP NetWeaver Stack 9 Theme Editor is only compatible with SAP NetWeaver Stack 9 Web Dynpro). When you upgrade Web Dynpro to a higher stack, you must also upgrade the SAP NetWeaver Stack 9 Eclipse Theme Editor and your themes to the SAP NetWeaver stack on which your Web Dynpro applications are running.
here you can find how to edit themes in web dynpro using this eclipse theme editor..

  • Theme editor doesn't work anymore after install of KMC

I have a portal 6.0.9.4 (stack 9 with patch 4) in which I have developed a few themes with the portal theme editor. Today I have added KMC (also stack 9, patch2) and the installation of KMC has succeeded.
Now every user has a portal favorites iview (part of KMC), but this iview (which is shown in the navigation panel) has the standard color layout and does not match the one that I have designed.
When I open the theme navigator it works, but when i select another option, for example layout of navigation panel instead of the masthead iview, the preview of the navigation panel doesn't appear. After this the complete portal fails, because I get a java exception error as you can see at the bottom of this message. The J2E engine has to be restarted to get the portal running again.
I believe that after installation of KMC the number of options in the theme editor should be increased, because it must be possible to choose the layout of the portal favorites iview, but this cannot be seen in the theme editor. Maybe the theme editor is looking for these settings and it cannot find them. Am I right about this? I also tried to open the standard SAP themes, but this doesn't solve the problem. The problem with the standard themes is the same.
    Best regards,
    J. Winkelmans

  • Theme Editor, changing size of all elements

    Hi all,
I'd like to enlarge the font size of all elements in my WebDynpro ABAP application.
I made a copy of sap_tradeshow in the stand-alone Theme Editor and set the parameter "Base Font Size" for "Text" in "Global Styles Content Area" to xx-large. The help for this parameter says that this would have the same effect as enlarging the font size in the Browser.
Setting the parameter enlarges most of the texts and elements like buttons. Unfortunately the text in tables, listboxes and comboboxes is still small.
Does anybody know how to change the size of these elements?
    Regards
    Frank

Not sure what went wrong the first time I attempted to resize
the ScrollPane elements - but on a second attempt, this all seemed
to work fine. I had to individually set the Properties on each
changed element to "Export in First Frame", but apart from that, It
was easy in the end. I now have bright turquoise 40x40 pixel up and
down arrows and thumb-bar to match!

  • Tabstrip in Theme Editor

Hi all - I'll try to explain this the best I can......within the theme editor, I'm attempting to create tabs that are one uniform color.  Somehow, I've created 2-tone colored tabs.  The 'Background Color of Selected Tab' is one color (which I've intentionally specified), but the remaining part of the tab is a different color - where this other color is getting pulled from, I have no idea.  There isn't an option under the 'Tabstrip' option (which is found under 'Complex Elements') to change this color, so it's coming from somewhere else - anyone have any idea where I can look?
This leads me to my second question - is there any documentation which explains all of the options/elements within the Theme Editor and what they affect?  I know there is a preview window which helps somewhat to understand what your changes look like, but it's lacking in an overall understanding as to what is affected, and where.
    Thanks!
    Steve

Those are images and you cannot change their color.  You can either upload your own images with the color you want it to be or you can upload a blank image.  If you upload a blank image then the tab will just look like a rectangle.
The triangles to the left of the tab are the starter images and the block to the right are the end images.
    regards,
    Clint

  • Customizing masthead in theme editor

    Hi,
I made some changes to masthead in theme editor and saved it with new name. But I am not sure now how to swap the new masthead in the default framework page. First thing is where can I find the new masthead I changed and saved. Is it saved as Iview or par file. if so which folder is it saved? Second thing how can i modify the framework page with the masthead changed in theme editor?
    Thanks
    Anu

    Hi,
Before defining themes the Default Framework Page has to be defined.Copy the default framework page in the Portal Catalog located under Portal Users->Standard Portal Users. Paste into the folder Admin Content->Systems->Portal Desktop.Edit object to open the new default framework page. Rename the page for future reference. On the left side will be a property editor. Make sure that “frameworkpage” is the display object ID. Then scroll to “Page Name” in the Property List.
Click Save. New name will automatically appear in the Portal Catalog.
The next part of the desktop is the theme that will be applied to the default framework page. To create new themes, choose System Administration > Portal Display > Theme Editor.
Then a new Portal Desktop has to be defined.Choose System Administration -> Portal Display -> Desktops &
Display Rules. Go to Portal Content->Portal Destop.Right Click new Portal Desktop.Save it. Add the framework page to this desktop(Right click u'll get this option). Then add the theme that you would like to have available to the role that will be assigned this portal desktop(Right click the theme u have created->Add theme to portal desktop).Set as default both a frameworkpage and a theme and save the portal desktop.
Finally, the portal desktop needs to be applied to a role, group, user, element or multiple combinations. This is done by creating rules in the “main_rules.” Edit the object main_rules (Master Rule Collection) by choosing in the Portal Catalog: Content Administration-> Portal Content -> Portal Administrators -> Super Administrators -> main_rules.  If there are no rules that apply to a user, then no users will be able to access the portal.Add the IF Expression.Select the IF Condition that will be in effect.
    Example:
User = i803466 (the ID of the user)
Role = pcd:(location of role definition)
    Group = Customers (group name)
    Bandwidth:
    Browsertype:
Next with the flashing curser in the expression input box, right click on the role that will be part of the
    expression. Add role to expression.
The add the desktop to the expression. Save the rules.
