  • Change theme effects on Nokia N8

I saw many videos on YouTube showing where different and more striking effects that bring Symbian Belle. Even in the video of the new FP2 effects are better. Can those be changed?

The effects of FP2 I like, since they are similar to those brought Symbian Anna.

  • Nokia E5 theme effects??

hey everyone, I was want to know that does the Nokia e5 have the same theme effects for all themes?
Because whichever theme i set the theme effect is the same, that is when i move cursor on an icon theres a slight bounce and when I open an app theres a round loading clock with colorful bars. Is it the same for everyone else?? because i suspect that the theme effect is different for each theme and its not change from theme to theme in my phone. Theres a theme called colors by mmo available for free on ovi store, i turned on theme effects for the first time after installing it and i think the theme effects of that theme are stuck on my phone and won't change

the effect will be the same for all themes.

  • Theme effects on Nokia n81 8gb

Did anyone notice the theme effects option on a n81. If so, what is it for? I mean I didn't find any difference whether it is on or off. It is at Menu> Tools> Settings> General> Personalization> Themes> General> Options> Theme effects.

Do a hard reset, and then try again to install the n gage application into your phone.
Hard reset (the three key code/reset). Turn off the phone. Press and hold three keys together, the green/talk key, the * key and the number '3'.Then, turn on the phone and don't let the three keys before you see the nokia hands logo/nokia boot up screen.Warning! You will lose ALL your phone's data/files!

  • E52 Theme Effects Don't Work

    Hello Friends
My E52 Theme Effects Don't Work Correctly.
when i Press ON for theme effects, mobile speed get low and effects don't work
    please help me

Pre-composing and then switching off Ray-traced rendering in the main comp gives you the ability to apply effects to the pre-comp. This may or may not work for your situation.
Another option is to pre-render your Ray-traced work and then apply effects to the footage. There's almost always something you can do if you think about it for a while.
Still another option is to put a 2D adjustment layer above your 3D Ray-traced layer and apply the effect there.

  • Bug in theme effects-Nokia 5230

Dear friends, I'm using Nokia 5230 for an year. I noticed a bug with theme effects after update to v21.x.x and this bug is not recovered by Nokia upto v40.x.x. The bug is when you press Options then You will see an option call "Show open apps. *" the star symbol is covered by white background(square) instead of black background(square), it is very annoying, it happens only when theme effects are set to on.
I found the same problem with my friend's new 5230.

Nokia should release a update to fix this. It happend after the update to v21.x.x.
How to report this to Nokia software developers.

  • N86 theme effects cause auto rotate to lag

When theme effects are enabled on the n86, when I try to use the auto rotate feature it hangs for 5 seconds, with part of the screen covered strangley.
I heard it was fixed or at least improved at some firmware version.
I am currently using the v20.
It seems my phone operator allows to update to at most v21.
But I'm kinda reluctent to update in fear of losing the opearator installed software and settings and stuff I changed to, especielly in case something goes wrong and I have to hard reset.
The questions is, was it really fixed or improved in v21, and how safe those updates are? (Chances of failure or issues?)

You normally get improvements with software update, and it is advisable to hard reset and not to backup settings as they can cause conflict with new software (just back up contacts and calendar) but it's up to you, you should be able to get apps etc back afterwards, and theme effects will always slow down phone as they use about 3 meg of the phone memory !
If it was me I'd install the latest software I could lay my hands on, but it's not !!
    Good Luck

  • Just starting in Photoshop how can access the tools in the most simplist way and use them effective.

How just started using photoshop and wondering how to use it. How to access the tools so I can get started on drawing and painting in it.

Watch online videos and practice doing what they show you.
Keep in mind there is no easy way to learn Photoshop, simply because it's so compex and powerful.  But be patient, it will come.

  • Are the MBA's powerful enough to use an Intuos4 with them effectively and not notice lag?

Does anybody have any experience using an Intuos4 Wacom tablet with the first gen MBA 11.6" from 2010? I was curious if they're powerful enough to keep up with natural brush strokes, in sketchbook pro and artrage, the MBA's cursor seems to lag a little bit when making strokes on the trackpad.
    Thanks in advance.

Here's the spec page on your G3 Pismo - http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powerbookg3/stats/powerbook_g3_400fw.html
The max OS on the Pismo is Tiger 10.4.x Even if the Pismo could run Leopard 10.5, it would be slow. Snow Leopard 10.6 requires an Intel processor.

  • E72 transition animations. Please, make them go aw...

    Enough said!
What a great phone (a few bugs, of course, but I guess Nokia would have to have the E72 available in time for Christmas. Hopefully, they will get fixed with the next firmware update)
But please, Nokia.... give us the option to turn off those animated transitions! PLEASE! P-L-E-A-S-E!
That's funny and we get it, but I want a fast phone. This is ridiculous! I came from an E71 that was way faster than this! Please, allow us to make use of the better processing power and RAM. Allow us to turn off those transitions!
    Thank you!
    Your long time customer.

  • Widescreen theme produces 4:3 menu; fix?

Back in Aug-Nov, there was a thread on this with a suggested work-around requiring a download of third-party software. Has anyone subsequently found a fix within iDVD?
I ran a test the other day on a sequence from an FCP project. Burned it in iDVD using Reflections Black, a widescreen theme. On a 4:3 TV, the movie plays widescreen (letterboxed) but the menu plays full-screen 4:3. Any reason to think it won't do the same on a widescreen TV? Any easy fix? It seems a strange result for a theme touted as widescreen.
Is there any widescreen iDVD theme that will make a widescreen menu right out of the box?

    Hi Rem!
That was probably me, so I will repeat that post at the end of this one.
iDVD has a bug (I have reported it to Apple) that sometimes makes the sub-menus in themes default to mpeg1 and 4:3. For PAL users like me it also defaults to NTSC! Anyway, here goes:
HOW TO MAINTAIN 16:9 ASPECT FROM IMPORT TO BURN
This is the way I do it. There is no compulsion on you to do it my way, but this works (for me). I started this method before iMovie and iDVD were upgraded to 6.0.3, and because not all elements of the various iDVD themes (particularly the pre-iDVD 6 ones) are consistent in keeping to 16:9 throughout the process. I have for years shot in nothing but 16:9 widescreen, partly because it looks better (IMO), partly to future-proof my videos for the increasingly popular widescreen TVs. Living in the UK, I use PAL (25 fps). Wherever you see a reference to PAL (25 fps) in the following you may substitute NTSC (30 fps) in the various settings mentioned, the basic idea is the same. I still use this method, and take these steps, regardless of whether it is always necessary. Worst case scenario: it would have worked anyway. Best case scenario: it works perfectly where it otherwise wouldn’t!
The object of the exercise is to ‘fix’ all constituent parts of the project (video, titles, theme, effects, even audio!) in the desired 16:9 aspect to avoid producing a DVD where the movie is in 16:9 and the menu is in 4:3 or where other irritating surprises lurk in your project, which you only discover after burning a coaster!
First go to http://www.mydvdedit.com/index.php?lang=english and download myDVDedit. This is shareware although the download is free. Send the guy a few dollars/euros, he deserves it. While you are there, read all about it. Now install it in your Applications Folder. You will need it later.
You have finished your iMovie project with music, transitions and so on, and saved it to you Movies Folder. Before you started the project you naturally set it to DV Widescreen.
Open iDVD. Give the project a name, and save it as Widescreen if it didn’t default to the same aspect as your iMovie project. Now import the iMovie project into iDVD, choose a theme (any theme you like, even if it prefers to stay at 4:3) and save the project. Do what you would normally do to the theme and its drop zones. Save the project.
Now save as Disk Image on your desktop. Leave it there for the moment when it has finished/appeared.
Open your Movies Folder. Create a new folder. Name it PROJECTNAME – TS FILES (where ‘projectname’ is the name of your project!). Close the folder. You can of course call it anything you like, but this aids identification.
Now double-click the disk image on your desktop. It contains two folders: AUDIO_TS (which is empty, but please pretend that it isn’t) and VIDEO_TS. Drag and drop these to the folder you created in your Movies Folder. (This takes a moment).
Click on the AUDIO_TS folder and go to Get Info in the file menu. Right down the bottom is where you have to change the permissions. Under ‘Ownership & Permissions’ change this from Read Only to Read & Write. Click the small triangle next to Details, scroll down and click on ‘Apply to enclosed items’. You will be asked for your root password. When this has completed (fairly fast, as that folder was empty!), click on the VIDEO_TS folder and do the same. This takes a moment longer, as that folder is full of goodies with which you should not otherwise interfere! Close the Projectname-TS Files folder. You have now allowed yourself to change the properties of the contents of those folders, which leads us to the next all-important step.
Open myDVDedit. Go to File and open the projectname TS Files folder. By all means stare at it shock and awe, but don’t bother finding out what it can do, except for the following:
Top left you fill see a list of files. Lower centre you have a large window. On the vertical menu to the left of that, click IFO.
In the window at the top left, ignore ‘First Play’ (if there was anything to correct in that, myDVDedit will have done so and told you).
Click on VMG Menu en (English). Now the whole thing springs to life.
    Set Coding Mode to MPEG-2
    Set Standard to PAL
Set Aspect to 16:9 (not any of the other options)
    Now save the file.
Click on VTS Menu 1 en (English) and repeat as above.
Click on VTS 1 and repeat as above.
You have now permanently ‘fixed’ the entire contents of the TS folder (the disk image) in 16:9 aspect. Close myDVDedit – you won’t need it again until the next project!
If you have Toast 7 Titanium, open it. ‘Select DVD-Video from VIDEO_TS’. Choose Select from the main Toast window and select your projectname-TS Files folder. You are now ready to burn! You can set the burn speed (2x recommended) before the burn commences. Allow Toast to verify the burn before you eject the DVD-R disk.
If you don’t have Toast 7, then I assume you can burn the projectname-TS Files folder (disk image) via Disk Utility. I say ‘assume’ only because I have never tried it that way.
Either way, you now have a DVD which will play as 16:9 widescreen on any TV set, even the old ones where you can’t ask it to letter-box.

  • Menu transition effects, Animations ?

does transition effects , animations etc come along with a theme ? or is it fp2 dependant alone ?
i mean, i have an fp2 device, 5730XM, but i cannot seem to get all of the transition effects Nseries phones have. Yes they are animated but not completel as it is in, for instance, N79. And yes i've turned on the theme effects.
    Thanks

AFAIK stock nokia themes are locked to the firmware updates each phone recieves. Basically each single phone as a peculiar stock theme which it receives embedded in the firmware updates. For example, the 5800 NE has a special default theme which is different from the default theme of the 5800 XM. Now, it may be possible to make a theme using one of the various theme making software out there with theme animation effects. So basically you need to find such a software which supports those effects you are talking about.
