hey..just wanted to know ..if u all can help with a problem...when i install themes or apps that have pics(which i do..alot)..the pics go in the gallery and make it real annoyin to havin to go through those pics before u get to urs....is the any way to hide them..i tried deletin them but it said unable to execute due to security reason (but i guess if i delete them the themes won't work...so is the any way in which i could hide or stop them from showing in gallery/images...

How do I get image files to show up, including theme images?

I was working on a keynote presentation and sharing it with another person (google drive). All of a sudden I get the file back and all of the images are gone. This includes the theme images. Any suggestions on how to fix?

The Podcast area in iTunes is where your subscribed podcast feeds would show up. Files (audio and video) downloaded from links contained in the feed would be listed underneath the podcast they were from.
If the files are public domain or you have rights to them you could create your own podcast feed to share these with the world. You'd need a publicly accessible internet web address with space to hold your files, you'd need to upload the file to this space, and create a podcast RSS XML feed and submit that feed to iTunes.

When I duplicate or copy slides, my custom theme images turn into question marks. Why, and how can I copy themes with slides?

When I duplicate or copy slides, my custom theme images turn into big grey boxes with an 'x' through them and a question mark in the middle in their new destination. When I go look at the master slides, I see that there are now two sets of masters, one for the my custom theme and a new one just like it, but with no images.
How can I copy (or duplicate) my slides?

OK, got it ... the Power ON Factory reset procedures might have changed with GB ...
To get to a Factory reset using the Power up method:
1. Power Off phone
2. Press & Hold the HOME Button
3. Press and Hold the Power ON button.
You come up to the Triangle with the Exclamation mark & android guy.
Press BOTH the Up and Down Buttons at the same time. This brings up the Blue menu of options.
use the Up/Down arrows to scroll thru the choices. Press the POWER Button to Select the menu item you choose.
You can harmlessly test this and just choose to Reboot without doing anything, just to see how it works in case you ever need to do this in the future.
edit: It was concluded in the test group that they changed this process to align it with the new DX2 as the camera button isn't hard-wired like it is in the DX. So likely they just wanted to make this process the same for both platforms. At least it sounds like a good reason...

Updating '08 file adds theme images

I noticed after saving a minor text change in an older Keynote '08 presentation file as a Keynote '09 file (no choice), the result is much larger. The original file was 260KB. The '09 file is 3.6MB. Checking the '09 file's package contents, I noticed there is a new "theme-files" folder that is 3.5MB. It holds 20 JPG images that represent all the '09 themes. I didn't use any theme for the original file, unless plain white is a theme. Either way, I don't need the other 19 theme JPGs, do I? How can I change the settings of Keynote '09 so it will not add theme images to an '08 file when updating changes?

No, that doesn't work. That page of preferences all applies only to new documents. I am looking for a way to edit an '08 document and then save it as an '09 document without adding the useless theme images. Anyone know how to accomplish this?

Edit Theme Images relevant within "Right To Left" Languages

Hello All,
I'm trying to upload images for the Tabstrip object in order to display the traingle of the tabstrip from right to left (for Hebrew display). The name of the object in the Theme is "Starter Image of Selected Tab".
I'm doing the following:
1. System Administrator
2. Support
3. Themes
4. Edit "Right to Left" Theme Images
5. Default Theme Label = myTheme
6. Default Image Label = Starter Image of Selected Tab
7. Press the button - "Default Search Button Text'.
8. Set the relevant image
9. Press the button - "Default Upload Button Text'.
After all this process, i see no change in the display of the tabstrip, nor in the" Browse Theme Database ".
Is there something missing? Am i donig it in the right place?

Pages has never supported RTL correctly since it was released a number of years ago. It's been discussed many times in the forum for that app. You should use Mellel (the best), TextEdit, Nisus Writer, or OpenOffice. MS Word for Mac has never supported RTL at all. Unfortunately Apple never provides info on when problems will be fixed.
Other than Pages, support should be good:
In Mail, check the Menu item Format > Alignment > Writing Direction
For the OS in general, check System Preferences > Language & Text > Input Sources > Bidirectional Text

KeyNote files explode in size. How do you stop it from embeddig all theme images (7 MB per theme)?

I think I just found out what is wrong with the file sizes of KeyNote for iOS.
In the Mac version of this app, there is a preference setting called "Copy theme images into document" which if checked includes about 7 MB of images for every theme used in the presentation(!). Normally this setting is kept off (thank god).
However, in the iOS version of KeyNote, there is no such setting. Instead, that function is always ON(!!!). This means that every time you create a presentation in there, or edit one from the Mac version, it will grow by approx. N times 7 MB; where N is the number of themes used in your presentation.
Now, if you use KeyNote for iOS and store your presentations on iCloud — like a good user should — then every single file will be sure to explode in size. And consequently take forever to upload and download from the cloud :-(
Any solution, anybody?

I don't know, Maybe Office 2008 doesn't play nice with Lion. Was 2008 working previously with Lion? Did you have these problems with Snow Leopard?

All I can suggest is uninstalling and starting over with a fresh installation.
Alternatively don't use Office at all. Instead use one of the Office substitues that supports Word documents (OpenOffice, LibreOffice, NeoOffice). Also there's Apple's Pages and MS Office 2011.

Customise Theme Images

For example: how can we replace the expand and collapse icons (not the icon against the node) on the Tree component to a different icon from that provided on in the Theme.
Some forumns suggests to set custom style property against the component item. That works for most situations. However I cannot see how we can overwrite the expand and collapse icons generated by the Tree control using style sheet.

The theme packages are located in the application itself: iWeb/Contents/Resources/Themes folder. You'd have to open that particular package and see if you can modify the colors. I would make a backup copy of your iWeb application just in case.

MOSS 2007 Custom Theme Images Invisible to Users

Hi,
Our MOSS 2007 Site uses Custom Theme and the theme uses image for styling navigation background. The issue is the when a user logs in to site he is not able to view the navigation background image whereas when a user with full control
logs in to site he can view the navigation background image.
Kindly suggest.

Why do theme images are shift to the right?

I have downloaded several themes (personas). When I look at the picture on the add-on site the main object is usually in the center of the picture. When I download it (or even hover over it to see how it looks on my browser) the image is always shifted so the main object is at the right side. This even happens when the main object is at the left side of the picture.
Is there anything I can do so that the image is in the same position on the browser as it is in the pictures?

A Persona (lightweight theme) is always attached at the top right position and a good Persona should have been designed with this in mind, so the most important content should be in the top right corner because the left and lower part might not be visible.
Now that you can't easily add extra toolbars to see more of the lower parts this is now more important.

Trouble customizing theme images for resized slide

I am working with Keystation_eclipse pro theme. I originally chose the 1280 X 720 slide resolution. But I am changing the height to 768 to work optimally with the resolution of my projector. When changed, the background image is scaled but the other "primary overlay" image remains at the 720 resolution. I took the the "primary overlay" image and scaled it to 768 in order to resolve the problem. But now the layout with primary overlay image on the background image is not properly aligned. I have no idea how to resolve this layout situation. Any ideas?

Purchased APEX theme images on a hosted site

Hello Everybody,
I purchased a wonderful theme for APEX, I'm trying to get it up and running at my job apex instance, the problem is that the dba's are unwilling to create the directory to place the files on the Oracle Application Server. On the servers that I manage, I have no problems doing this, but that is an entirely different issue.
I have uploaded the files as static files, static images, and I uploaded the css as css. Problem is my graphics are not being displayed.
I created an application substitution string and values as follows:
THEME_PATH #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#This does allow the css to work, but the icons, buttons, and other png or gif files are not rendered?
I do know that this can be made to work, I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong, can anyone help me?

I actually use Revion, they are great! This is my real job that I'm talking about. I'm going to put in a request to have the files installed on the application server, even if they approve the idea, it may take several months to get it done, the bureaucracy slows everything down here. I'm not going to let that little detail stop me from my work.

Editing theme images in 3.0.1

In 3.0.1 the images for a template are in the database in the /i/themes/opal (or whatever the template name is). I want to edit some of the images(slices) of my copy of a template using Fireworks. How can I accomplish this?

It's 3.0.1 on XE. You can use WebDAV to get to the images, download them directly into Fireworks, save them in a directory (after edititng) and drag and drop them back into the db.

Stock Theme Images

Is there any way to change the stock images in the Road Trip theme? I've seen it mentioned before, but I have not seen an answer.

Sorry, I might have not been clear in my earlier post...I am already using QC and have installed all the standard dev tools, but I can not figure out how to extract the background images that are contained within the .qtz packages.
Example: I have opened the "bumper.qtz" file for the Roadtrip theme. Once inside QC I have been able to isolate the background images in the Full Comp section under the Hierarchy but there doesn't seem to be a way to locate the image itself. You can view the image if you hover the mouse over the specific line in that section of the browser but there doesn't seem to be a way to copy that image or open in it from where it is being pulled from originally. If someone knows how to open these images it would greatly help me.
This method of editing would seem to be the first step for everyone being able to make their own themes without having to alter too much in QC. By changing the background images using photoshop or another program and then replacing them, you could basically keep the rest of the information in tact and the functionality such as the drop zones and the camera movements would be the same. Or I might be totally off base and smoking crack thinking it would be that easy.
Any ideas or documentation that would point me in the right direction on how to access, edit and replace those images would be helpful though.
